Contiki NTP Client
Luštický, Josef ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This BSc Thesis was performed during a study stay at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the operating system Contiki for embedded systems, NTP time synchronisation protocol and to design and implement an NTP client for the Contiki operating system.
Experimental Evaluation of Clock Synchronization for Networked Control Systems
Pacner, Jan ; Polčák, Libor (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
Within this topic, a testing environment is built, where different clock synchronization methods are evaluated in order to establish a maximal achievable clock precision in a distributed SCADA system based on the QNX operating system. Furthermore a measurement of parameters of communication for different technologies and circumstances is taken. For this purpose, porting of the PTP protocol to QNX OS is necessary.
Design of digital alarm-clock with receiver
Pokorný, Martin ; Buganská, Tamara (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
The idea of this bachelor’s thesis is apply inventions and inspirations to create innovative design of radio alarm-clock with digital clock projection and show own creative activity, orientation on exist problems and independent activity on this submission.
Microcontroller controlled timer
Heralecký, Lukáš ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis entitled "Microcontroller-controlledtimer" is focused on design and practical application created a device that will be capaje of depending on external dating of simple tasks. This paperdescribes the features and capabilities of the microcontroller ATmega162, the Operations and program services. There is also described several other components used such as RTC, LCD display, matrix keyboard, temperature and othersensors. The first part is devoted to the oretical introduction to microcontroller and used parts. In another part ofthe PCB design - suitable layout of components, connectors, location, solving problems in PCB design. Fortesting functions designed and manufactured equipment is made simple test PCB. The practical part ended custom programming microcontroller programming language C.
Modernization of the master clock for slave clocks controlling
Pokorný, Jiří ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes modernization of the master clock HN 50 created by company ELEKON, s.r.o. Master clock can be used for controlling of analog or digital slave clock or for switching school bells. Exact differences between old and new version of the clock are described and ways of synchronization and controlling of slave clock are explained. Main goal of modernization is applying the SMT technology for automation of production. Another problems and shortcomings of previous version are developed, such as new power supply structure, selection of a new microcontroller and usage of several different displays. Every problem is developed and new solutions are chosen. Last part of the document describes the software which is clarified on several flowcharts. Outputs of the thesis are complete schematics, printed circuit boards and 3D models of the modernized device.
Design of Alarm Clock
Budík, Marek ; Rubínová, Dana (referee) ; Rajlich, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create an original and functional design of personal alarm clock. This design will meet high technical, ergonomic and aesthetic standarts for succesful product. Side goal is to conceive a machine with unique character.
Advanced Alarm Clock for Windows Phone 7
Zapletal, Josef ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the development of mobile application for Windows Phone 7 focused on sleep and awakening the user. The application is very easy to use and uses built-in modules of advanced mobile phones, such as high resolution camera and the accelerometer. This thesis describes the main features of Windows Phone 7 platform, analysis of competing solutions, application concept and its implementation. Furthermore, this work describes the solution of various problems in the development and also provides examples of methods and tools. Finally, there is also a list of used libraries.
Body and Time
Olšáková, Marie ; Kupčíková,, Alena (referee) ; Klodová, Lenka (advisor)
This work is about creating a conceptual sculptural work. The goal was to capture the following motives: individual ways of perceiving time and social pressure on women. My personal motivation for creating was the outrage of the societal pressure which is put on women in their reproductive age. The main part of the sculpture is a clock, which is inserted into a plaster cast in the woman's lap. At the same time, a blue IKB pipe is depicted in the woman's lap. The sculpture is a minimalistic depiction of a woman feeling of the societal pressure. Twice a day there is a moment when the hands of the clock cover the pipe, and the pressure that society exerts on us, women, disappears. These moments convey the message that there is no right time. At the same time, I created triptych relief plates in the background, which repeat the plaster material and the use of the bodies that were imprinted into it. Specifically, it captures three generations of women from my family, three different approaches and three different captures of time.
Satellite Position Measurement in UHF Band
Rohaľ, Pavol ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The semestral thesis deals with the problem of synchronization of software-defined radios over long distances. The goal was to design and implement synchronization with a high enough accuracy for multilateration purposes. Several basic types of software radios, methods and synchronization options are presented at the beginning. The synchronization circuit itself as well as its components were designed and built. The conclusion of the work is a detailed analysis of the chosen synchronization method and the results of the final circuit measurements.
Nixie clock
Ščípa, Samuel ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a nixie clock. In the introduction, the thesis deals with the history of the origin and the principle of the function of this vintage technology. It describes in detail the function and design of the support and control circuits to operate these character discharge tubes. It addresses the design and implementation of the hardware part of the clock. Further, the software part of the device is discussed in detail, which provides the normal functionality of the clock, such as stopwatch, alarm, timer, temperature measurement, supplemented with modern features such as Wi-Fi, RGB backlight a USB-C for power and programming. The final stage is the implementation and testing of the finished device.
