Title: The Last Princess of Luxembourg. The Life Elizabeth of Görlitz in the Period between Years 1390 - 1425. Abstract: The thesis aims to describe the life of the last princess of the House of Luxembourg, Elisabeth of Görlitz. Based on an analysis of narrative and diplomatic material spanning between 1390 - 1425 it describes her life from birth until the moment she ultimately became a widow. Elisabeth of Görlitz (1390 - 1451) was the granddaughter of the emperor Charles the IV. and the Swedish king Albrecht I. During a significant period she used to be the only heir of the House of Luxembourg and therefore since her childhood she was an important woman from the political point of view. She married Anthony Duke of Brabant after several unsuccessful engagements. This marriage led Elizabeth to the Western Europe, where she spent the rest of her life. Thanks to this marriage, Luxembourg became the property of the newly married couple. After few years Anthony died in one of the most famous battles of Hundred Years' War - The battle of Agincourt. Soon after that, Elizabeth got married for the second time. Her second husband was John III the Pitiless, the former Prince-Bishop of Liège, which was during this time most known for his efforts of acquiring Holland and Zeeland. The form of the interior in Cluny and its subsidiaries monasteries in Burgundy

In my bachelor thesis, I will devote church architecture, interior Cluny III and his reflections in the daughter monasteries in Burgundy. For individual buildings is analyzed architectural solutions primarily broken down walls and vaulting. An important part is the history of the region, cultural and historical context monastery of Cluny, followed by the development of the monastery. The main part occupies the church interior Cluny III, broken down the walls of a church interior solutions vaulting of the main nave, typological layout plan. The form of the church interior of Cluny will then be compared with selected churches monasteries in Burgundy. The Donations and political activities of Alix of Vergy Duchess of Burgundy in the years 1206-1251 through the eyes of her documents

Submitted diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of preserved documents and correspondence of the Duchess of Burgundy Alix of Vergy. The thesis surveys the political and donational pursuit of the duchess during the years 1206-1251 just on the basis of this kind of sources. The thesis analyzes individual documents and letters and subsequently reflects in them the events of the time period and the personality of the Duchess of Burgundy. In the first part are briefly outlined the realities of the burgundian region during this time period and the importance of the reformed orders for the area. Outlined is also the rule of dukes Hugh III. and Odo III. and also the life events of Alix of Vergy from being the wife of Odo III., through being the regent up to the position of mother of the ruling Duke of Burgundy. In the new chapter the thesis outlines the view on the role of medieval women, issue of their rights and disposal of power and free will. In the second part the thesis deals with the analysis of documents and correspondence of Alix of Vergy in particular periods of life. The diploma thesis on the basis of the source reconstructs the extent of her political power, independence and free decision-making throughout her life. Separation of Luxembourg from the Lands of the Bohemian Crown

The subject matter of this rigorosum thesis is to provide a description and an analysis of process of separation of Luxembourg (and Chiny) from the Lands of the Bohemian Crown. This topic was chosen for reason that this process of separation was never described and analysed neither by Czech nor foreign historiography so far. Thesis is primarily based on original sources and works with citations of contents of legal documents. The Introduction of this thesis especially outlines the importance of thesis and introduces essential and current literature and other sources. The first chapter which follows the Introduction generally describes the process of incorporation of Luxembourg among the Lands of the Bohemian Crown. Next chapter is focused on takeover of Luxembourg by the King Wenceslas IV for the reason of his succession after Wenceslas I of Luxembourg and afterwards takeover this duchy by Jobst of Moravia and Louis I of Orléans, both for the reason of Lien Agreements. This chapter also highlights origins of Burgundian expansion into Luxemburg based on the marriage contract between Elizabeth of Görlitz and Anthony of Brabant. Clothing as Manifestation of Power and Hierarchy from the End of the 14th Century to the End of the 15th Century. Comparison of the Developement in the Czech Lands and Burgundy

The thesis "Clothing as Manifestation of Power and Hierarchy from the End of the 14th Century to the End of the 15th Century. Comparison of the Developement in the Czech Lands and Burgundy" describes the evolution of clothing style in both countries. It is based mainly on iconographic resources, with some additional information from written sources and literature. On this base the approach and means to this kind of representation of secular higher class in given areas are compared. The original basis of the 14th century French court culture was further developed by the Burgundian society, with emphasis on the shaped silhouette. On the other hand, the Czech lands departed from this way and adopted a new direction to the German area. The transalpine impulses are reflected as late as in the last quarter of the 15 th century. The material of the clothes is assessed as a more important aspect of representation than the shape. The text outlines also the way of further development as well as points out some unclear articles of the topic.

The bachelor thesis "Voyage dOutremer by Bertrandon de la Broquire as a Historical Source" deals with a travel account by the Burgundian diplomat and spy Bertrandon de la Broquire reporting his pilgrimage to the Holy Land, Syria and the Ottoman Empire in 1432-1433. On the background of the later crusades ideological movement and the Burgundian court as its emphatic supporter the work examines sources and limits of the late medieval religious toleration and cultural openness.

Burgundy and Central Bohemia - partnership of two EU regions

The bachelor thesis entitled {\clqq}Burgundy and Central Bohemia {--} partnership of two EU regions`` consists of seven chapters. The theoretical part describes briefly the regions of Burgundy and Central Bohemia, the Maison de Bourgogne and the origin of the partnership between these regions. The second part turns to cooperation at the level of microregions and towns and deals with four main areas of the cooperation between the regions - culture, education, economic cooperation and tourist trade. The possibilities of EU subsidies to this cooperation are also described. A summary in French is included.
