Mezírka, Martin ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis concern with problem transforms Braille's documents into text form. At first focus on Braille alphabet and principle of the scanners. Next is represent design of potential method of recognition Braille's documents. At the end is situated description of program's implementation with used library    OpenCV and Qt framework. Conclusion discusses reliability and some program's extensions.
Braille Reader
Vicián, Martin ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor's paper deals with methods of detection and decoding digitalized documents in braille to Latin script. It describes the function of scanners and their employment in digitalizing braille. It analyzes various methods of thresholding, rotation detection and sign processing. It describes an implemented program in C++ language, the OpenCV library and Qt framework. Finally it proposes the most feasible procedure of decoding.
Braille Reader
Zapletal, Pavel ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of work is conversion of a photographed Braille into ordinary text. On the beginning, there are described Braille specification and principles. In the next part are mentioned types of sensors for taking photos. The main part describes phases of image processing and their implementation in C++. At the end, there are listed possibilities of future development.
Braille Reader on Mobile Device
Krušina, Jan ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Sochor, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with detection and translation of Braille characters from images taken by a camera on a mobile phone. Firstly, different approaches of solution of this issue are mentioned, and their results are described. Secondly, the chosen method that deals with this problem is introduced, and implementation of this technique on a chosen mobile device is presented. Finally, evaluation of the algorithm is described and results are analyzed.
Braille Reader for Android OS
Bokiš, Daniel ; Dluhoš, Ondřej (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis and recognition of the Braille characters from a photo taken by a mobile phone. It describes design and implementation of application for recognition on Android OS mobile platform. Described general principles of analysis and processing of image are also applicable in other systems.
Braille Reader
Fabík, Jiří ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with image processing, specifically scanned Braille documents. It is about recognition of Braille cells, followed by transferring to plain text. Braille dots are recognized on the basis of bright and dark parts, which are created during scanning. After connection to the characters, they are converted to plain text by means of the character set. It also locates positions of possible errors to make it easier to correct the final text.
Machine vision for robotic manufacturing systems
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Šubrt, Kamil (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
The first part of the thesis is a research of components and image processing in the application of machine vision in industry. The parameters required for quality image acquisition are described and the algorithms of programs for image evaluation in practice are selected. The practical part focuses on the description of a model task of Braille control on drug packaging. It includes the design procedure for component selection, parameter settings and the image processing program. The task is divided into two phases, where the first phase involves static testing without movement of the test samples and the second phase involves movement by a fan simulating motion on a conveyor.
Tactile book for children with visual impairment
BENDOVÁ, Eliška
This bachelor thesis entitled Tactile Book for Visually Impaired Children deals with sight and visual impairment, preschool and younger school-age child development and severely visually impaired children. It emphasises the importance of touch, tactile perception and touch development. It also focuses on reading of children with severe visual impairments. In the practical part, the work deals with the production of a tactile book. The tactile book produced is presented to blind children for testing. The aim of this work is to determine the suitability and contribution of the presented tactile book produced and the availability of books for children with severe visual impairment.
