Argüello, Facundo ; Parízek, Michal (advisor) ; Doboš, Bohumil (referee)
The Argentine-Brazilian bilateral nuclear verification protocol in the light of trust-building cooperation theory Argüello, 2023 Abstract This work aims to identify the reasons for ABACC's continued success in securing a strong reception by Argentina, Brazil, and the NSG, and well as predict the impact of Brazil signing the IAEAAdditional Protocol in its search for a nuclear submarine as part of the PROSUB. The thesis analyzes ABACC from a neo-institutionalist theoretical framework of Regime Theory, cooperation patterns, Rational Design, and studies on International Organization centralization, independence, and enforcement problems. The work concludes that ABACC is successful because, firstly, its credibility and reputation are convenient for both state members, which share similar gains of prestige from the institution's success. This is because the agency has encompassed the interests of both. Secondly, ABACC is the work of a careful institutional design that rests on centralization, independence, high-quality of information, and strictly enforced bilateral symmetry between Argentina and Brazil. Regarding the impact of Brazil's nuclear submarine project, it can be said that it threatens ABACC's success because it changes the interests of Brazil, which are no longer encompassed by the Agency. This means...

Three Green Parties from Latin America in Comparative Perspective with Europe. Competition with Left-Wing Parties and Demarcation Strategies PhDr. Diana HANRY KNOP Abstract The Partido Verde from Brazil, the Partido Ecologista from Chile and the Proyecto Sur from Argentina are political parties belonging to the movement of green or ecologist parties. They represent, in each country, new political forces which aim at differentiating themselves through a particular identity, built on the focus on sustainable development and the strong will to do politics in a new fashion. Members of those three political parties believe they are apart from left-wing activists. Nevertheless, they do share similar ideas, regarding societal issues, as well as economic and social questions. These parties appeared in a particular context, influenced by democratic renewal, in connection with civil society activists. They continue to keep strong ties with associations, unions, and artistic movements. Their organisation is based on democratic principles such as pluralism, representativeness and territoriality. However, like their European counterparts, they have trouble applying these principles in actual fact. They also face the issue of monopolized power by party leaders. The Partido Verde, the Partido Ecologista and the Proyecto...

The results show that the resulting dependence is the same and significant in all states regardless of the state of legislation. The change in demographic indicators is visible to all, regardless of the degree of abortion restriction. Fear of a demographic change in the Population from the results is not a reason for further prohibition of abortion.

The bachelor thesis "The Czechoslovak Exile Government and its Relationship to Argentina in the years 1939-1945" examines the development of the struggle of the Czechoslovak exile government for recognition by the Argentine government. The thesis not only deals with the process of recognition of the Czechoslovak exile government and embassies in Buenos Aires, but also by the activities of compatriots in Latin America that helped foreign resistance through social activities. I use here primary sources which I found during study in the Archive of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Very important is also the first chapter. I mention here the historical development of Argentina since the 20th century, its relation to the world's great powers, and finally the development of Argentina in the Second World War. Blažiová, Lucia ; Krausz Hladká, Malvína (advisor) ; Veselý, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis "The phenomenon of (neo)populism in Argentina" concerns the populism of two ex-presidents of Argentina, Juan Domingo Perón and Carlos Saúl Menem. First, this work is focused on clarifying theoretical approaches of this phenomenon and explanation of those components, which seems to be the most relevant to study of populism in the region of Latin America. In the practical part of thesis, those components are analysed in case of Perón's populism and Menem's neopopulism. This means, it is focused on 'the people', charismatic leadership and populist discourse, in Menem's case on videopolitica and neoliberalism as well. The main assumption of this work is that populism has such a strong presence in politics of both men that it can not only reveal the essence of their politics, but also similarities and differences between them.

Legal Regulation of International Arbitration Procedure in the Czech Republic and Argentina The purpose of my thesis is to describe the legal regulations of international arbitration in the Czech Republic and Argentina, find the differences between them and draw appropriate conclusions. The last part of the chapter contains the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration, which explain the popularity of (international) arbitration. The next chapter deals with the legal regulation of international arbitration in the Czech Republic. It opens with a brief description of development of arbitration throughout Czech history and then is divided into sub-chapters dealing with specific elements of...

Juan Domingo Perón and the Ideology of Peronism
Mertlík, Tadeáš ; Soukup, Jaromír (advisor) ; Kotrman, Václav (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the figure of Juan Domingo Perón and the ideology of Peronism in Argentina. It examines the period from the 1940s, when Perón's gradual rise to power began, to the fall of his regime in 1955. The thesis analyzes the far-reaching socio- economic changes, which occurred during the first two Perón's presidential terms, such as the significant improvement of living conditions for the lowest classes in society, especially the working class. But it also examines the widespread repressions, which the regime applied to their opponents. The thesis also focuses on the interpretation of the Peronist ideology and it tries to determine what was the significance of the presidential couple Juan and Eva Perón. Based on primary sources and secondary literature the thesis comes to the conclusion that the figure of Perón was totally crucial for the entire regime and ideology, whilst the figure of Eva Perón was rather a tool of the Peronist propaganda.
