Disinformation on German Twitter Accounts during the 2019 European Parliament Elections

The master thesis addresses the social network Twitter and the spread of disinformation in the last weeks before 2019 European Parliament elections in Germany. The target of the research is to analyze the spread of disinformation immediately before the elections and determine the specifics of the German Twitter landscape. The theory of information disorder by Wardle and Derakhshan enabled a deep study of disinformation. The thesis explains the basic theory of disinformation and its connection to the right-wing populist movements. In Germany, this phenomenon is connected to AfD - Alternative für Deutschland party, that follows the topics of migration, alleged censorship, and climate skepticism, which are also the defined topics of disinformation in Germany. Through a content analysis of quantitative data from 1st to 25th May 2019 explains the types of disinformation according to the information disorder theory and the spread of disinformation in German landscape, interpretates the topics and is trying to link the spread of disinformation directly to the AfD party. The researcher analyses three Twitter accounts: the account of the party election leader Jörg Meuthen, the account of German conservative right-wing media Junge Freiheit and the account of a supporter of the party. The Role of France and the USA in Battling Instability in Mali and Niger in the Years 2005-2014

The Sahel is one of the most unstable and underdeveloped region of the world. In Niger and Mali situation worsened after the year 2011 because of of the political vacuum, emerged after the overthrow of Gaddafi. Among basic problems of Mali and Niger, causing instability, can be named poverty, security troubles (uncontrolled extensive borders, terrorism), ethnic conflicts and misgovernance. This paper is concentrated on the US and French activities in solving those problems. The aim of the paper is thus defining of the basic problems causing instability of Niger and Mali, and analyse military and development aid aimed at solving those problems by the USA and France in years 2005-2014.
The Impact of the Migration Crisis on Germany 2013-2016

The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the migration wave (which happened between the years 2013 and 2016) on the Federal Republic of Germany. In the first chapter, the basic concepts related to migration will be explained, then the particular migration theories will be briefly introduced. The second chapter will deal with the rise of the migration; the chapter also lists the reasons for the arrival of migrants to the Federal Republic of Germany. The next part is devoted to the newly formed party Alternative for Germany, which used the anti-immigration approach to enter the provincial councils and then in 2017 completed its establishment in the political sphere by joining the Bundestag. The PEGIDA movement will also be briefly mentioned in this thesis. The last part will deal with the expenditures of Germany, which had to be spent between the years 2013 and 2016; the attention will be paid especially to social benefits for migrants, expenditures for accommodation of newly arrived migrants and the impact of the migration crisis on the budget of the Federal Republic of Germany.
