Detection of Homologous Enzymes
Krátke dodavateľské reťazce a komunitou podporované poľnohospodárstvo
Králová, Lucia
The thesis deals with the issue of short supply chains and community supported agriculture. These concepts are a form of alternative supply chains that are dedicated to the sale of quality, locally sourced food from primary production that also supports the local economy and local vendors. Both forms of distribution also support a sustainable food system and organic post-agriculture, with the added value of engaging people in a community-based way of life. The thesis evaluates the research questions by confirming or refuting the hypotheses, which aimed to find out the current situation in the Slovak and Czech Republic in relation to this concept. The thesis analyses successfully functioning distribution systems from ethical, economic, ecological point of view. A questionnaire survey was used to investigate the consumers' view of short retail chains, with the research question: "Do consumers prefer buying from short supply chains?", where hypothesis 1 was confirmed, which implies that consumers prefer buying from short supply chains for several reasons, but actually practice buying from long supply chains. In the practical part of the thesis, SWOT analyses of the two types of chains were carried out, identifying the strengths and weaknesses as well as the threats and opportunities of these chains, focusing in particular on the risks and limitations that are the reason for the so far low interest in the use of the financial sub-programmes of the rural development programme. In the SWOT analysis for community supported agro-farming, the research question was answered: "Does community supported agriculture have a favourable future for producers?" and, depending on it, confirmed hypothesis 1, which states that community-supported agriculture has a favorable future for producers.

The bachelor's thesis is focused on media image of child sexual abuse in Czech TV news. The thesis introduces the issues of this serious social problem, presents context of social sciences, rapist, victims and consequences of sexual abuse. The media chapter introduces possible influences of news about child sexual abuse on society. Quantitative content analysis was used for the research. Three of the most popular TV stations - ČT1, Nova, Prima − were included in the research. News transcription related to child sexual abuse was monitored from the beginning of 2010 until the end of 2015 with the aid of the Newton Media SEARCH database. The time period was chosen because of actuality and sufficient sample of news. Three large cases were chosen. Cases were connected with organizations (the Scout group, the BBC television, the Catholic church). These organizations should help and protect children. The affairs were presented, in detail, the data from the news were analyzed, then interpreted and compared. The aim of the analysis was to find if society is sufficiently informed about this problem, if news about child sexual abuse can transform the society's view and if the news had some taboo or stereotypes about this problem.
Activation of abdominal wall and back muscles during exercise with traction and compression loads
Jordáková, Adela ; Čech, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Machač, Stanislav (referee)
We used RUSI (rehabilitative ultrasound imaging) for measurement of abdominal and back muscle in different loading modes. Methods: We used diagnostic ultrasonography imaging for taking linear measurement of trunk muscles. We measured anterioposterior (AP) dimensions of lateral abdominal wall muscles- m. OE, m.OI, m.TrA and cross-section area (CSA) of lumbar m. multifidus. We compared two groups of sports-floorball players and sportsman using climbing and hanging (climbers, aerialists). We measured positions with compressive force (kneeling on all four with lifted knees) and with traction load (hang with upper limbs with flexion of lower limbs-with leg support and without). Study is made on 50 volunteers. Results: The pattern of thickness of abdominal muscles is same in all positions in both groups. The lowest is always AP thickness of m. TrA, wider is m. OE and the widest always m. OI. The resting thickness are in both groups almost in all cases the lowest. AP thickness in m. TrA in floorball players is only exception, there is lowest in hang without legs support. In all other case sis resting position always lowest. For m. OE are results same for both climbers and floorball players-the lowest thickness is in hang with legs support (floorball players 0,84 cm, climbers 0,87), greater activationis...

Kurková, Simona ; Machač, Stanislav (advisor) ; Mezian, Kamal (referee)
Bibliographical record: KURKOVÁ, Simona. Sonographic evaluation of sciatic nerve in individuals with radicular symptoms S1, Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 2019, p. 99, Thesis Supervisor: Mgr. Stanislav Machač Ph.D. Abstract The thesis deals with radicular symptomatics S1 and sonographic imaging and evaluation of sciatic nerve in individuals with unilateral radicular manifestation. The theoretical part describes anatomy and biomechanics of nerve structures, radicular syndrome and its clinical image, diagnostics and treatment. The theory also includes the less known extraspinal causes manifesting themselves as radicular syndrome, the effects of which may be equally important in differential diagnosis. It describes classical and new possibilities of nerve imaging with emphasis on sonography and approach of new procedures such as MRI tractography. In the practical part, the aim of the thesis is to evaluate morphological changes of sciatic nerve in patients with unilateral symptomatic S1 by sonographic imaging of the nerve during its course, from the subgluteal groove to the popliteal groove. It also examines the relationship between the pathophysiology and symptomatology of these patients, comparing whether changes in nerve size correlate with...
