Effect of long-term drought on plant-associated microbiota
Billichová, Tereza ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kohout, Petr (referee)
Plant-associated microorganisms are very important for plant growth. Microbiota influence, for example, nutrient uptake, flower and fruit production or biocontrol of pathogens. Microorganisms are found in various plant organs. Each plant part then creates different environments for the microorganisms to live in. This may influence their different functions depending on which plant part they are found in. One such function is to help plants cope with adverse conditions. Drought, as an adverse condition, has a major effect on both plants and micro-organisms. The aim of this thesis is to study effect of long-term drought on the composition of the microbiota in the rhizosphere and leaf and root endosphere. Long-term drought affected the composition of microbial communities in different plant parts. According to the original hypothesis, the response to drought of prokaryotes differed from that of fungal communities. Fungal communities are more stable and their alpha diversity did not change much during the different durations. The opposite trend in diversity is seen in prokaryotes, where a relative increase in specialists can also be observed. Regarding specific microbial taxa, the results confirm the previously reported trend of increasing Actinobacteria abundance during drought. For fungi, on the...
Detection and mitigation of DDoS attacks
Brázda, Mikuláš ; Hranický, Radek (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with the detection of DDoS attacks in the CESNET3 network infrastructure, utilizing NetFlow record analysis. Considering the dynamic nature of network traffic, it treats the data as an infinite stream. To store and efficiently process large volumes of data, it employs the sketch method, which allows for a compact representation of data without losing key information about the network traffic. The core of the detection mechanism is the adaptive CUSUM algorithm, which accumulates deviations from a long-term moving average. An alert is triggered when a threshold is exceeded. The module was tested on real network data with various parameter settings to demonstrate its properties. The implemented module is part of the NEMEA system.
Optimalizace řízení podmínek v inteligentním skleníku
Vilimovský, Dan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bažout, David (advisor)
The work focuses on finding ways to optimize the operation of a smart greenhouse by reducing operating costs and facilitating the sustainability of an ideal environment for plant development in the greenhouse. The aim is to model the conditions in the greenhouse using a developed neural network model that is able to predict the values of environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity. This model is trained on real data obtained from long-term measurements in a test facility. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the possibility of using this neural network model to optimize the control of the greenhouse operation so that ideal development conditions for the plants grown or reduced electricity consumption used for the operation of appliances can be ensured in the future.
Noise form rolling stock in Brno
Dolíhal, František ; Dočkal, Aleš (referee) ; Klapka, Milan (advisor)
This study is focused on the analysis of data from long-term noise measurements of trams at the turning loop in Brno-Komín, and at the Technological Park turning loop in Brno. Automated field measurement based on sound pressure level and frequency evaluated tram passages to determine if there was the occurrence of squealing noise while traversing tightly curved track segments. Concurrent with noise measurements, meteorological conditions (temperature, relative humidity, and rain) were recorded. Alongside data from the preceding switch memory, including vehicle identification numbers and inspection data provided by the Brno Public Transit Company, an analysis of influencing factors on the occurrence and parameters of squealing noise was conducted. A weak dependence on air humidity (and consequently temperature) was found. This revealed varied noise behavior among tramcars of the same construction. Influence of water in contact of wheel was described during process of drying tracks. Manual field measurements also suggest the influence of vehicle speed. Observations also indicate the need for future assessment of the driver's influence and overall driving dynamics (especially acceleration), which this study does not address.
Depreciation as a tool for tax optimization
Sovová, Vendula ; Alexa, Tomáš (referee) ; Kalová, Dagmar (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on issues in the area of handling fixed assets. The aim of the thesis is to propose appropriate steps and solutions for depreciation of fixed assets, which will lead to tax optimization. In the analytical part, the company's assets are analyzed and in the design part, the selection of depreciation for newly acquired assets and its subsequent impact on the tax base is addressed.
The Proposal for the Business Development Stratetegy of a Company Engaged in the Sale and Assembly of Sanitary Products
Šenkýř, Matěj ; MBA, David Matoušek, (referee) ; Bumberová, Veronika (advisor)
The master's thesis focuses on proposing the development of the current business strategy of a starting company dealing with the sale and installation of sanitary products in the Czech market. The theoretical part includes a literature review in the field of strategic management of the company, followed by selected analytical research methods used in the subsequent part of the thesis. The analytical section provides a practical approach to identifying gaps between the current setup of the starting company's elements and tactical activities and the owners' vision using GAP analysis, including an assessment of market attractiveness using Porter's Five Forces model and key factors of the general environment. The results of the conducted analyses are further summarized and elaborately analyzed using the SWOT method. Based on the criteria and in line with the vision, a suitable variant of the business strategy and changes leading to the achievement of the partners' vision and long-term success of the company in the market are selected in the proposal section. The proposed business strategy is elaborated to the level of action planning and budgeting for the proposed changes.
The influence of the working environment on the quality of posture - applied ergonomics and physiotherapy in the office environment
CHADIM, Petr
This bachelor's thesis explores the impact of the work environment on body posture quality within the context of office settings. The objective of this study is to analyze how factors of the work environment, such as furniture ergonomics, workstation arrangement, and work tools, affect employees' body posture, and how these factors can be optimized to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and enhance overall comfort. The study focuses on two primary areas of intervention: applied ergonomics and physiotherapy. Concerning applied ergonomics, the thesis investigates principles and practices for designing work environments that promote healthy body posture and mitigate the risks of adverse effects caused by prolonged sitting. Additionally, it evaluates the ergonomic aspects of technical equipment and employees ergonomic habits. Physiotherapy constitutes the second pillar of this work. The research examines how a physiotherapeutic approach can assist employees in improving body posture quality, enhancing muscle stability, and preventing potential musculoskeletal disorders. This section of the thesis presents specific physiotherapeutic exercise procedures and techniques suitable for office environments. The practical part of the work was conducted in the form of a qualitative research on a sample of three subjects. I conducted an analysis of existing ergonomic and physiotherapeutic approaches and case studies investigating the specific implementation of these approaches in a selected company. The results indicate that proper ergonomics of the working environment and regular physiotherapy can effectively contribute to maintaining healthy body posture of employees and thus their overall comfort and productivity.
