Burnout, focusing on the burn-up for teachers

The thesis begins with specification and characteristics of chosen topic. The introduction covers description and comparison of definitions from various authors. Burn-out process is covered exactly here including its beginning and continuance. High detail is focused on prevention of this syndrome stressing social support, psychological hygiene and human relaxation. There is mentioned a list of several professions which are endangered by burn-out most notably describing the profession of teacher in the largest analysis. Each chapter also highlights the impact on concrete part of burn-out process and again provides high detail for the role of teacher. Phenomenon of stress is covered specifically mentioning its part how it can start burn-out process. The theoretical part of this thesis also covers ways how to detect presence of burn-out syndrome. Practical part compares level of vulnerability to burn-out between teachers on two different schools, where first school is based in the capital city of Prague and the second one in Middle Bohemia. The results from each school are described and analyzed separately at first and then compared together. The whole thesis ends with final thoughts based on compared outcomes from the practical part.
Human Dependance as part of Personal Assistance

The thesis "The Human Relationship in Personal Assistance" will address the interpersonal relationship which arises between an individual with disabilities relying on personal assistance and their personal assistant. The aim of this work is to explore and describe the nature of this relationship, the roles which are fulfilled by the two players and last but not least to define situations in personal assistance, which may frequently give rise to conflict between the personal assistant and the client. In the theoretical portion of the work basic information about personal assistance will be given, physical characteristics of individual disabilities and their effect and a delineation of the idea of relationship. The practical portion will proceed in the form of an examination of ten interviews with personal assistants and personal assistance clients. Its results will be complemented by other findings from literature and personal experience from the author of the work. This work should serve people who operate in the field of personal assistance, whether in the role of personal assistant, a client or other people in order to better understand the laws regarding assistance and to avoid unpleasant situations and conflicts.

Thesis looks at how childhood in the SOS children's village affects the life in adulthood. It is dividend into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the SOS children's villages, alternative family care in the Czech Republic, the family as an institution and the laws related to these topics. In the practical part of the research is influencing the respondents living in the SOS children's village. Investigation groups are the biological children of parents guardians and children in foster care in the SOS children's village Doubí. At the end of the thesis case studies are given in the form of interviews with former inhabitants of SOS children's villages Doubí.
Assessment of Adaptive Behaviour in Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

The subject of this thesis is measurement of adaptive behavior of adults with intellectual disabilities. Theoretical chapters include topics as adulthood of people with intellectual disabilities, assessment of adults with intellectual disabilities, adaptive behavior and its measurement. The final chapter of theoretical part involves information about social services with emphasis on a new legislation. Second part of the thesis contains analysis of two survey investigating measurement of adaptive behavior of adults with intellectual disabilities in two kinds of social services - personal assistance and social rehabilitation. First survey investigates characteristics of measurement in these social services on nationwide level. The aim of second survey is to examine an assessment tool designed for needs of concrete social services provider.
Respite Care Service as Partial Form of Social Support of Families with Children with Intellectual Disabilities

This dissertation is concentrates on the problems of respite care provided to families of children with mental disabilities. In tries to outline situation of families which ceaselessly take care of their most vulnerable members. The main goal of my work is characterization of these services, firstly on the general level, and secondly it describes the development of these services and the Act about Social Services, which it does primarily from the point of view of the providers through questionnaire survey. My work aims to gather information from providers of care from the whole of the Czech Republic a thus aspires to collect data which would show the possibility to influence the quality of the services provided. By this, my work tries to contribute into the field of the respite care, which target group are children with mental disability.
Autistic Spectrum disorders on the interface of Branches of Science

The following dissertation is concentrated on giving the reader a clear view o the subject of autistic condition through three disciplines - psychiatric, psychological and educational. Greater attention is paid to the available complex care, given to families with autistic members. The practical part observes the relationships between parents, doctors, psychologists and teachers during the holistic care of an autistic individual, with more attention paid during the age of compulsory education.

The Diploma thesis "Possibility of using dance for people with mental disabilities" is providing of effects on dancing and movement to person with mental disabilities. Limited notions important for this thesis to get acquainted with some techniques of dance therapy and styles using for people with mental disabilities. Thesis describes using the dancing techniques in three visited institution. It suggests dance and movement lessons divided according to the age. A part of thesis is CD with several explained segment of belly dancing.
To be mentally handicapped child's father

This diploma thesis deals with the problems of the father's role in families of mentally handicapped adults. The theoretical part starts from demonstrating the situation of the families mentioned above, then the definition of the basic concepts relating to mental retardation, adulthood and handicapped children's families follows, as well as the description of fatherhood transformation in historical context. The father's relation to the child and the child's mother (or his partner) are rendered too. In the practical part, the results of the qualitative survey on the basis of semistructured interviews with handicapped children's fathers are stated. This part of the thesis particularly records the fathers' subjective experience, which is the base for subsequent suggestions for intervention possibilities. The aim of this thesis is to map the difficulties mentally handicapped children's fathers face, and on the basis of these findings to suggest intervention possibilities.
Activity of educational-psychological counselling centre with focus on group re-education

The thesis focuses on the activities of pedagogical-psychological consultation centers with special attention to group re-education of children with specific learning disabilities (SLD). The first part offers a brief description of specific learning disabilities and the activities of pedagogical-psychological consultation centers. The main topic and aim of this thesis is the description of group re-education and the characteristics of its each area. This topic is supplemented by a considerate focus on the use of group re-education in pedagogicalpsychological consultation centers in Western Bohemia known as "SPUCH" - a course for second-year children (offered by the pedagogical-psychological consultation center in Klatovy). I have also included a case study of a client, who has participated in this course. Analyse logopaedics' solicitude along combined handicap

This diploma work analyses the logopaedics" care with mid-hard (heavy) up to hard (heavy) mentally affection in combination with Childs cerebral palsy. The theoretical part describes symptomatic infelicities of the speech with combined handicap, its symptomatology and diagnostic. The main emphasis insists on the area of logopaedics' therapy. This therapy is focused on the individual aspects of the therapy where are included the systems of alternative and augmentative communication. Closing chapter of theoretical part is integrated rehabilitation rated from the point of view of complex care. The applied (practical) part includes the boy's casuistic which describes the single components of logopaedics' care comprendious sorted by areas of stimulation and time period. The aim of this work was the analysis and reviewing of provided logopaedics' care until now, its complexity, suitability and the solutions of the communication.
