The isolation of an individual and a working group within an organisation

This thesis deals with isolation of individuals and workgroups within an organization. Isolation of the individual is here seen to be associated with its ability to adapt to working environment. Also pay attention to factors that can contribute significantly to the isolation of the individual and those are conflicts within the working group and poor workplace relations. The next section describes the essence of formation of isolation of a working group, which may be based on processes that are reasonably necessary for the functioning of the group, in its extreme extent, may have a negative effect on the group. Isolation should be seen as an impulse for change, which is closely related to the ability of learning. For this reason, the work also included the issue of organizational change, education of individuals and the use of creative techniques. These procedures can also serve as a prevention of isolation. I included my practical knowledge in this area in a case study that describes the situation in the working group, which is already in isolation and in connection with the phenomena that occur in this group, some members feel isolated. Motivation for Further Education of Helping Professions Workers

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of motivation for further education in helping professions. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the current forms of motivation in a selected area of helping professions in the Czech Republic. Attention is paid to the characteristics of the field of helping professions, personal specifics and competences of workers in helping professions and ethical aspects of work in helping professions. The issue of further education with a focus on continuing professional education in the helping professions is discussed. Barriers to further education in the selected group are also elaborated. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the issue of motivation, selected motivational approaches and motivation of workers in the helping professions to participate in educational activities. The thesis includes a quantitative empirical investigation aimed at analysing the motivation for continuing professional education of health care and education workers. The results of the quantitative questionnaire are analysed by descriptive statistics and then verified by test statistics in order to find out the specifics of the motivation of helping professions and to verify how the motivation to further professional education differs among the selected helping professions. The Effect of Long-term Working from Home on Well-being

The Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the impact of long-term work from home on personal well-being. The conceptual basis of work is devoted to the definition of work from home (as an alternative work regime), its current legislation, the prerequisites for effective work from home, and the disruptive factors that can influence work from home. Furthermore, different theoretical concepts of the personal well-being are also described and attention is paid especially to the PERMA model. Last but not least, the work focuses on work-life balance for individuals working from home and a separate chapter belongs to the topic of work from home during the covid-19 pandemic. The starting points of the thesis are also relevant researches. The work includes a research investigation conducted using the qualitative method of semi- structured interviews, which aims to identify differences in the effect of working from home on the different components of the PERMA concept for carers of dependent children and non- carers, among other issues.
The Motivation to Volunteer during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The main focus of this bachelor thesis is the volunteer's motivation in social and health area during the Covid pandemic throughout the timespan of March 2020 to December 2020. The thesis is separated into two parts. First part is separated into theoretical anchoring of volunteering and motivation for volunteering in social and health area. Second part is focused on assessment of hypothesis and it's subsequent denial or affirmation thanks to survey evaluation. Finally the author offered suggestions for next research in this field of work.
Self-regulated Learning and Well-being of University Students During the Covid-19 Pandemic

The bachelor thesis deals with the relationship between self-regulated learning and well-being of university students. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the condition of self-regulated learning and well-being of university students in times of Covid-19 pandemic. The theoretical basis is dedicated to results of research devoted to self-regulated learning and well-being in times of pandemic and main theoretical concepts of well-being and self-regulated learning are presented. Subsequently, the relationship between self-regulated learning and well-being of university students is identified. Thesis also includes empirical research, which aims to identify differences in self-regulated learning and well-being between students of faculty of medicine, who helped in health care establishments and those who didn't and between students of faculty of science. The mutual relationship between self-regulated learning and well-being and negative correlation between self-regulation and depression was found. Furthermore, significant differences in self-regulated learning and well-being between students in dependence on faculty or gender were not found. The Using of Coping Strategies among Managers in the Terms of Job Satisfaction

This bachelor thesis deals with the subject of work stress and using coping strategies among managers in the terms of job satisfaction. The first part of the thesis includes the comparsion of the concept stress and mental load, continues with description of the related terms. The second part provides details about job satisfaction. The third part defines managerial work and the demands that managers and leaders are forced to deal with. The empirical part is based on literature search and so far conducted researches, which describe these facts only marginally. The main aim of own research is to verify dependency between the overall level of job satisfaction and preferences for using offensive or defensive stress management strategies. Another goal is to find out how are these preferences affected by the availability of stress management trainings in the workplace. The partial aim is to analyze the most common situations in which managers experience stress load. A quantitative survey was implemented by means of an electronic questionnaire. The results confirmes the relationship between coping strategies and job satisfaction although, only in the case od defensive strategies, the use of which significatnly reduce job satisfaction. The Influence of Education of the Elderly on the Quality of Their Life

The diploma thesis focuses on education of older adults in relation to quality of life. The aim of the thesis is to identify the association between the participation of the elderly in education and their subjective quality of life. The study focused on identification of the association between quality of life and education at the university of the third age is designed based on theoretical and empirical findings. The quality of life is assessed using the WHOQOL-BREF and WHOQOL-OLD instruments. Quality of life assessment scores of 645 participants of the university of the third age are compared with normative scores for older adults. The study also examines the association between selected aspects of participation in the university of the third age, participation in other educational activities and quality of life of the elderly. The results confirmed that the education at the university of the third age is associated with subjective quality of life. The results also display that participation frequency and the number of semesters attended is not associated with the quality of life and that the contact with other university members and participation in other educational activities has very weak association with quality of life. Further Education of Pedagogical Staff as Latent Prevention of Burnout

The bachelor thesis elaborates the issue of further education of pedagogical staff as a preventive measure of burnout syndrome of teachers. The aim of the bachelor is to analyze the potential connection between further education of pedagogical staff and the prevention of burnout syndrome. Theoretical part is devoted to the connection of burnout syndrome with the teacher profession, according to modern a theory of psychohygiene and personal education. Firstly there is a description of the burnout syndrome - definition, course, and prevention which is especially important. Furthermore, there is the form of the further education of pedagogical staff. One of the most important part is devoted to legislation that applies to further education of pedagogical staff. In the final phase, there is a question of connecting these two topics. The aim of the quantitative empirical survey is to evaluate whether the further education of pedagogical staff functions as a prevention of burnout syndrome and if teachers are sufficiently informated about this fact. From the resulting data, we can confirm the fact that further education of pedagogical staff can function as a preventive measure against the burnout syndrome. Impact of Career Guidance on the Well-being of Adults

The diploma thesis deals with the relationship and connections between career guidance and the personal well-being of adults. The aim of the work is to analyse the impact of career guidance on the personal well-being of adults. The theoretical basis of the work is devoted to the current form of career guidance in an andragogical context, the work of a career counsellor and various concepts of personal well-being are introduced. Subsequently, the relationship between career guidance and personal well-being is identified and specific mechanisms of the impact of career guidance on the personal well-being of an adult are described. Part of the diploma thesis is also a quantitative research, which aims to evaluate how clients of career guidance perceive its impact on specific dimensions of personal well-being. It was found that career guidance has the greatest impact on the dimension called self-acceptance and the dimension called meaning of life and has the least impact on the dimension called positive relationships. The results of the research also point to the importance of a form of career guidance in relation to the impact on personal well-being.
