Insurance products and their use in everyday life

The thesis deals with public health insurance. It is divided into four parts. The first theoretical part provides a conceptual framework for the subject: it presents a general definition of insurance, describes its nature, a brief history of insurance schemes and outlines types of insurance available. The second theoretical part focuses on core issues: it introduces the area of public health insurance, its nature, models, operation and other aspects which each insurance policy holder should be aware of. The first practical part examines the Czech market in public health insurance in 2014 and describes the products and benefits offered by selected health insurance companies valid until 23rd March 2014. The second practical part provides a comparison of selected health insurance companies and their products, followed by a suggestion of the most beneficial insurance company for a model client.
Unemployment in the region Vrchlabi

The aim of this work is to analyze the theoretic knowledge and unemployment in the region Vrchlabí. The work is divided into two main chapters. The first part describes the nature of unemployment, its causes, impacts on society and the evaluation method of measuring the rate of unemployment. The second part deals with unemployment in the region Vrchlabí and the analysis period from 2005 until 2011. Based on theoretical foundations are analyzed quantitative data on which are designed to resolution of the situation in the region.
Globalization: social-political effects of activities of multinational corpotations

This thesis entitled "Globalization: the sociopolitical consequences of the activities of supranational corporations" examines the effects of actions of supranational organizations in the process of globalization, on the basis of contemporary sociological literature. In the first two chapters I assess the process of globalization itself and its most important aspects. The third chapter inspects the supranational corporations, their development, functioning and characteristic attributes and then presents the consequences of these actions. The final chapter focuses on socially responsible behavior.

Abstract This bachelor's thesis evaluates the currently most popular types of savings accounts and their characteristics of use in everyday life. The thesis is divided into two parts where the first part gives an account of various savings account types and elaborates on their pros and cons from the customer's perspective. A very important factor for the comparison of different types of savings accounts is the interconnection of the three vertices of an investment triangle representing risk, liquidity and profit. The second part of the thesis is more practical and presents two types of savings accounts offered by three different financial institutions which more or less vary. The thesis then concludes by illustrating the differences between various types of savings accounts and summarizes the key findings. Keywords: saving, bank, financial product
Financial Education and its Position in School Education

This Master's thesis deals with financial education and its place in school education. The thesis is separated into four main parts. The first chapter defines the concept of financial literacy, historical evolution of financial education in pedagogical reflection and factors affecting individuals in the process of financial education. The second chapter deals with the place of financial education in school education, which is an analysis of selected education policy documents of the Czech Republic and the activities of the actors involved in the development of financial literacy of the population of the Czech Republic. The theme of the third chapter is defining areas of financial education in school education in the private sector. The fourth chapter discusses the role of the teacher in the process of financial education and presents some recommendations.

Competition and its manifestations in the market of ČR

The purpose of this thesis is to give an overview of the definitions of compe- tition in literature and an assessment of competition in the Internet market in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is based on literature of domestic and global origins. This part is specializing not only in the understanding of competition in individual scholarly works but also in its influence on the market mechanism, and its typology. An important constituent of this work is the analy- sis of unfair commercial practice as defined in terms of the Consumer Protection Act. The practical part deals with the specific manifestation of price and non- price competition within the Czech Internet market. Research was performed on six selected web portals selling electronics. Quantitative data obtained within this research are shown in tables forming part of the text.
Gender and management

This thesis focuses on gender issues in management. The emphasis is puting on role of gender in management, on differences in harmonization of the working and family life for men and women and with respekt to difficult situations in career building for women, especially in matters of competence for the performance of this office. The thesis further focuses on the issues of equal opportunities for men and women to build their own career, gender inequalities and problems in relationships of families, households and careers. Part of the thesis also describes the public opinions on gender issues in management. The last chapter introduces the issue of managers free time. Financing of Universities

The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis and evaluation of the tertiary education in the Czech Republic. First the tertiary education is being characterized in it, its system, classification and its role in education. Then I take heed of financing of the tertiary education, its organizing at either public or private universities. Next, the reform of tertiary education is introduced. Particular quantitative data are analysed in a period between 2007 - 2011, when there is evaluating the development of number of students at universities, and the development of financing university education from the state and regional budget.
