Kropíková, Pavla ; Tůma, Martin (advisor) ; Satrapová, Lenka (referee)
Title of diploma's thesis: The effectiveness of program in lower limbs injuries in handball Abstract: The theoretical part of diploma's thesis contains detailed description of anatomy and kinesiology of knee and ankle joints. It also link injuries which affect this parts of body. This part contains accident occurrence in sports, causes and mechanism of injury. We could not forget the theoretical treatment for the prevention of injury. The practical part is the creation and application of a simple prevention motion program that will have a preventive effect in terms of lower limb injuries of female handball players. Research thesis therefore dealt efficiency of our original motion program. We checked the statistically processed data on the number and type of injuries in female players of handball in the first league of women. The effectiveness of our motion program was confirmed by reducing the number of injuries of the lower limbs in the intervention group. Key words: lower limb injury, injury prevention, accident occurrence, special prevention motion program
Application of the Hermite basis for spectral analysis
Mihálik, Ondrej ; Tůma, Martin (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
The work is concerned with an application of the Hermite functions in signal approximation. The purpose of the work is to show their properties in time and frequency domains, namely their orthogonality, Fourier transform, zeros and asymptotic behaviour as their order becomes high. The next subject of this work is the question of scaling these functions to minimize the square error of signal approximation. Several methods proposed by different authors are discussed. Finally these algorithms are tested by approximating simple signals so that their results can be compared.

Fractional order LTI SISO systems modelling using generalized Laguerre functions
Kárský, Vilém ; Tůma, Martin (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
This paper concentrates on the description of fractional order LTI SISO systems using generalized Laguerre functions. There are properties of generalized Laguerre functions described in the paper, and an orthogonal base of these functions is shown. Next the concept of fractional derivatives is explained. The last part of this paper deals with the representation of fractional order LTI SISO systems using generalized Laguerre functions. Several examples were solved to demonstrate the benefits of using these functions for the representation of LTI SISO systems.
A comparison of the preparations of different age groups of handball goalkeepers during the summer off season
Peerová, Šárka ; Tůma, Martin (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: A comparison of the preparations of different age groups of handball goalkeepers during the summer off season Objectives: The objectives of this work is evaluation to compare the differences in summer preparations for each category of handball goalkeepers. Three pre-selected goalies collect data in tables and based on their records there is a comparison of the collected data. We assessed the relationships between individual and collective training and training intensity during the evaluation. Goalkeepers training units in the preparatory period for women take 6 weeks, 5 weeks for junior girls, and younger girls 3 weeks. The results show us, whether there is a difference between different age groups and what is their training load. Methods: The information we received from goalkeepers was a record of direct and indirect observations. The methods of evaluation of obtained materials are numerical and graphical (tables and graphs). Results: The results of our work confirm that most goalies have minimal individuality, which may be reflected in their performances. They also confirm that the woman's category has a greater volume site, but the content is comparable with the junior girls category. Keywords: goalkeeper, training, performance, off season training
A relationship between velocity and accuracy of chosen type of shooting in teamhandball
Šetelík, Martin ; Tůma, Martin (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Title: A relationship between velocity and accuracy of chosen type of shooting in team- handball Goals: The goal of this thesis is finding of relationship between velocity and accuracy of team handball throws because these factors influence the number of scored goals which arbitrate about results of each match. Methods: The thesis is divided into 2 parts: theoretic which putts together actual knowledge about this topic and and practical part which presents practical measurement and its results. Study of relationship between velocity and accuracy is based on practical measurement of chosen group of team handballers. The measurement itself consists of four chosen types of shots. We studied velocity of shots and their accuracy during shooting on selected places. For measuring velocity is used radar device Stalker. Measured values were statistically elaborated in programs Microsoft Excel 2007 and Statistica. Results: The results of this thesis demostrate relatively high relationship between velocity and accuracy. Accurate throws (60 and more percent succesful trys) reached velocity equal to 95% of maximal velocity. This velocity was the average of five throws with a maximum exertion to achieve maximal speed. Key words : team handball - shooting velocity - shooting accuracy

Václavek, Ondřej ; Tůma, Martin (advisor) ; Velenský, Michael (referee)
Title: Qualitative analysis of cooperation of back court player and line player on the 9th Men's "18" European Championship in Brno. Objectives: Qualitative analysis of the attacking combinations between back court player and line player on the 9th Men's "18" European Championship 2008 in Brno, finding out the space distribution of these combinations and compare the trend analysis of Men's "18", Men's "20" and Men's European Championship. Methods: Qualitative Analysis of the matches on DVD with using non participating and non structured observing connected with quantitative analysis based on the statistical program Handball Stat. We used own form for recording the observed data. Results: The teams used combination based on passing mostly. The distribution of co-operation probably depended on physical, technical and tactical preparation of the back court players and through that the line player very often co-operated with left and middle back. Key words: handball, combination, co-operation, back court player, line player, qualitative analysis, 9th Men's "18"ECh 2008 Brno
