Media education and literacy of future teachers of health education at the Fakulty of Education of Charles University

Master thesis Media education and literacy of future teachers of health education at the Fakulty of Education of Charles University deals with the issue of their readiness to teach this area in schools. The aim of the thesis was to find out to what extent students of the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Health Education are ready to implement media education in schools. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical definition of media education and literacy and related terminology. Furthermore, I have included in my work the historical development and gradual inclusion of this issue in Czech curriculum documents. In the practical part, using quantitative and qualitative methods, research was conducted with the participation of 34 selected students, which focused on the readiness of future teachers to teach media education in schools. The data arising from the questionnaire survey were graphically processed and commented. Furthermore, the views of four respondents on the issue of teaching on this topic are part of my thesis. The research revealed that most students had been marginally exposed to media education during their undergraduate studies, but felt this preparation was insufficient for their future teaching practice. Experience of pupils in the second grade of a selected primary school with selected nicotine-containing products

This bachelor thesis examines the experience of pupils with selected products containing nicotine at a primary school in Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis starts with the characterization of nicotine as a chemical substance, its metabolism and effects on the body. It also specifies the different possibilities of consuming nicotine. In addition, it provides an overview of the nicotine-containing products that are in the focus of this research, namely cigarettes and nicotine pouches. Furthermore, the theoretical part provides a description about nicotine addiction and its neurobiology as well as treatment options and the importance of prevention of addictive substances. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is based on the results of a questionnaire survey, which evaluates the experience of a selected population group with selected nicotine-containing products. The questionnaire contains 37 questions, which are closed, semi-closed or open- ended. The research works with a total of 123 questionnaires. This thesis deals with the implementation of Health Education in the school curriculum of a church school. The aim of the thesis is to map the current relevance of Health Education, its importance and interdependence in the formal and informal curriculum of St. Augustine's schools - kindergarten, primary school and high school. The theoretical part contains basic information about the educational field of Man and Health, the educational field of Health Education and the didactic transformation of the school curriculum into educational reality. Another part is dedicated to the introduction of Augustinian schools, Augustinian pedagogy and important documents of the school. The final part explains the implementation of Education for Health in the school curricula of the kindergarten, primary school, and St. Augustine's Gymnasium. The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the motivational factors for learning at secondary school in pupils with a different mother tongue. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. It describes the strategy of educating pupils with a different mother tongue in the Czech Republic, the core principles of inclusion and inclusive teaching, motivation, motivational factors and the importance of performance motivation in school environment. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the functions of school counselling centres and school counsellors and the current form of career education in primary schools. The last section of the theoretical part is centred around choosing a secondary school and the factors which most often affect this choice. The practical part of the thesis takes the form of a qualitative research survey consisting of a series of structured interviews carried out amongst school counsellors and 9th grade primary school pupilswith a different mother tongue. Prevention of injuries and the protection of children's health in selected kindergartens and primary schools in the context of electronic entry systems

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of safety and protection of children in kindergartens and primary schools in connection with various types of entry devices. The target was to find out how can we the best ensure and protect children's health in schools based on the choice of entry devices and whether we can change the level of protection and protection of children's health in schools based on the choice of entry devices. The work could be divided into the two parts. In the first theoretical part there are specified the terms related to this issue, there is done and evaluated a questionnaire survey in the second part, designed to map the situation in kindergartens and primary schools in the Vysočina region, in connection with the types of enter devices and their evaluation from the perspective of teachers. Further semi-structured interviews with the directors of selected schools are conducted and evaluated, which clarify the view of the circumstances of the choice of individual types of entry devices. Subject of this paper are possibilities of pedagogical impact on improvement of performance and social skills of apprentices at vocational school. The theoretical part describes a definition of social climate, specifies factors, which form social climate. Each subchapter focuses on the role of social climate and school class as an important group for school climate. It describes the role and tasks of class teacher and his/her significance for positive motivation of apprentices, creating positive social climate of the class and his/her possibilities of improving social skills and performance of apprentices. Another important factor for the climate are the apprentices. Next part draws conclusions about means, which a teacher may use to have an impact on apprentice performance, such as motivation, evaluations, forms and method of work with apprentices. This paper describes the relevance of key competences and functional literacy in education of vocational school apprentices. The practical part is focused on case studies of apprentices.
