Analysis of the procedure for design of trackbed

The diploma thesis focuses on analysing the current Railway Infrastructure Administration methodology for designing the sleeper substructure concerning the construction's deformation resistance, its comparison with the multi-layered method, which is used in the road engineering and finite element method. It deals with various methodologies of determining the deformation resistance of the track substructure.

Securing the pit in over-consolidated clay

Text of an abstract. The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis is design and assessment of the supporting "hypothetical" excavation pit in Neogene Brno clay. The pit is situated near the swimming stadium Za Lužánkami, where subsoil is formed this type of soil. This area is also marked as landslide area. In the first part of the thesis evaluation of the geological and geotechnical conditions is presented. Design and evaluation of the selected supporting system (two times anchored pile wall) cross-section to fulfill the Ultimate Limit State and Serviceability Limit State is described in the third part. The computational program GEO5 Sheeting Design was used to determination of required embedded depth of the wall, number of anchors and internal forces. The assessment of the first limit state of the construction was made partly by hand and partly with the help of the software application. The determination of horizontal movements of pile wall was performed via GEO5 Sheeting Assessment. External stability was analyzed using GEO5 Stability. The last section gives description of the technological construction plan.

Gestational type diabetes of mellitus and it´s laboratory determination

Abstract I am a medical laboratory technician working in a biochemical-immunological laboratory, and almost every week I come across the results of screening tests that reveal impaired glucose tolerance in pregnant women. Some of them are then diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus. The global incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus is reported to be approximately 14% of all pregnancies and usually resolves spontaneously by the end of the sixth trimester. Of course, there are also cases when the condition persists and due to long-term consequences, besides other things, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes increases. (Goldmannová, 2019) Such women continue to be treated and monitored when switching to the classic diabetes mellitus disease. In my work, I decided to provide a comprehensive overview for the medical laboratory technicians, as well as to collect data on gestational diabetes in the vicinity of Nový Bor. This work aims to create an overview of gestational diabetes and risks for mother and fetus, to describe the course of screening laboratory examination and determination of gestational diabetes mellitus on its own tested group. For the last year and a half, I have monitored the conditions of pregnant women who come to our outpatient department to undergo an oral glucose test. Before the examination, I had the patients fill out voluntary questionnaires. I created the questions based on the risk factors I was looking for, which could have influenced the course of the pregnancy or the development of gestational diabetes. After an overall evaluation of the examined results from the examination and comparison with questionnaires, I evaluated which risk factors are present in women with proven GDM to a greater extent and therefore, depending on their occurrence, could lead to the development of the disease.

Role of social worker in a hospital

The diploma thesis is focused on the main activities of the social workers at the hospitals in Prague, the regional hospitals, and one former district hospital. Within the theoretical section of the abstract there are clearly defined fundamental concepts of social work in health care and its historical transformation. The chapters consist of four sections: ethics code, the quality of social work at the hospital, valid legislation, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the hospital. The theoretical part focuses on job description, competencies, skills or personality characteristics of the social worker in the hospital. The last section describes social work in the hospitals by different target groups with whom the social workers can come into contact. The empirical part of this diploma thesis is acquired by the semistructured interviews. The main research question tries to find out the role of the social worker at the hospital. The research targets three surveyed areas: The first examines the qualification skills of the social worker at the hospital. The second refers to the job description of the social worker at the hospital's core business activities. Dublin system's impact on asylum policy in the Czech Republic

The objective of this thesis is to analyze the application of the Dublin system in the Czech Republic. The descriptive part of the thesis is mapping the development of the Dublin system, criteria and mechanisms for determining the Member State responsible for examining an asylum application lodged in one of the Member States, and Eurodac database, complementing the entire Dublin system. The descriptive part is followed by analytical part. This part analyzes the Dublin cases and their links to asylum requests. Specifically, it is concerned with the number of Dublin cases in the Czech Republic together with their breakdown to sent and received requests and also breakdown according to nationalities of the Dublin cases. The analysis concludes that the Dublin mode contributed to the decrease of the asylum requests in the Czech Republic, but it has not influenced the nationality composition of the asylum seekers. Territorial Asylum

Territorial Asylum Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze territorial asylum, as an important institute of international law. Territorial asylum is analyzed on three levels; therefore, three different aspects of this institute are examined. The determined levels are as follows: history of territorial asylum, its legal regulation, and examination of existence of the right of asylum. As of now, the institute of territorial asylum and refugee issue are often mistaken or misused. For this reason, this thesis focuses on finding similarities and differences of the territorial asylum and refugee issue in perspective of the analyzed levels. This thesis is divided into three chapters corresponding to the selected levels. The first chapter analyzes the history of territorial asylum. It describes its origin and subsequent development from ancient history to modern times, ranging from religious asylum to gradual formation of territorial asylum, including brief analyses of diplomatic asylum as specific form of asylum typical for South America. Strategic human resources management in a selected organization

This diploma thesis investigates the topic of strategic management of human resources in the selected healthcare organization. The aim of thesis is to define short-term and long-term strategic goals of human resources management connected to the basic mission and vision of the department in the healthcare organization. The development of appropriate strategic objectives will be based on the analysis of the internal environment and also will include the results of analysis of external environment. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis involves chapters about human resources as part of strategic management, its history and possible views on that. Other chapters define the human resources management in healthcare, what are the prerequisites for successful management and strategy development. This is also related to personnel management tasks. Afterwards, the specific relevant focus is on ensuring human resources from the point of view of the organization - human resources planning, recruitment and selection of employees, the subsequent adaptation process and staff evaluation.
