The emergence and development of the Communist party of Czechoslovakia in the 20.years 20.century.

The thesis deals with the emergence of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and its development in the 1920s. The first part is devoted to the historical roots of the socialist movement in Austria-Hungary and the Czech lands and maps the birth of the Communist Party from the left wing of the Czechoslovak Social Democratic Workers' Party. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the policy and internal development of the Communist Party in the 1920s in connection with its relationship to the Communist International. It also describes the most important events that influenced the party, individual congresses of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, their conclusions and in the context there is explained the strategic-tactical direction of the party. The thesis also monitors the development of communist agitation before the parliamentary elections of 1925 and 1929 and the results of these elections. The work uses specialized literature, protocols of individual congresses of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and articles from the period press. The National Unification: development of a political party between 1934 and 1938

This thesis captures the development of a Czechoslovak political party National Unification from its foundation in 1934 until it was dissolved in 1938. It places the party in a political and historical context of the First Czechoslovak Republic, it analyses its program and ideological foundations. The thesis considers the concepts of nationalism and fascism which were and still are closely connected with the National Unification party. It describes the 1935 parliamentary elections from a viewpoint of the political party campaign and focuses on the contrast between the party expectations and the electoral results.
Bernard Bolzano's work " On the Best State " in the context of political utopianism from 16th to 19th century.

This diploma thesis is focused on the part of the work of important philosopher and mathematician Bernard Bolzano, which is currently rather neglected. It is his utopian writing On the best state. The aim of my thesis is to find out (through the analysis of the selected representatives of the utopian genre from the 16th to half of the 19th century and their consequent comparison with Bolzano's utopia), where to put the book On the best state in context of European utopian thought. In Czech literature Bolzano's writing is considered to be an example of rationalistic utopia of Enlightenment; however this statement hasn't been proven by deeper comparative analysis. That's why this diploma thesis tries to review this statement in order to either confirm it or define newly the position of Bolzano's book in the history of political utopianism. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one gives basic introduction to Bolzano's professional and personal life, which is necessary for better understanding of his political thought. The topic of this thesis is political extremism in France, mainly focused on Front National. In the first part, there is defined term extremism, described its typology and its connection to the political system - political parties and its form at present. The content of the next part is to map historical developments of right-wing extremism in France, roots and its tradition. This thesis is mainly focused on development of Front National - since the formation to the present. The aim of this thesis is to map political extremism in France, mainly The Front National, comparison of the political party's development in the different stages. The focus is put on the comparison of its policy agenda and electors especially in connection to the change of leaders of the Front national during its existence (from Jean-Marie Le Pen to Marine Le Pen). Specialised literature in Czech and French and authentic documents were used for the preparation of this thesis. Communications in the period of totality and democracy. (Specification in comparison of new year speeches of presidents G.Husak and V. Havel)

This thesis deals with the influence of totalitarian and democratic regime at the communication abilities and possibilities of then presidents in our country. The theoretical part distinguishes between political and apolitical communication. Besides other things, it focuses on the characteristics of totalitarianism and democracy and describes the dispositions of language system at both regimes. It also includes a brief history of New Year's speeches and their language particularities because the theoretical part is focused exactly on those communication opportunities. The practical part focuses on the analysis of New Year's speeches of the last totalitarian and the first democratic presidents, with only that exact speech being analysed in detail in both cases. The life stories of both personages are also taken into consideration. Speeches are analysed from the content, linguistic and psychological viewpoint, emphasis being on the meaning of the entire communication. In the conclusion it is attempted to introduce the comparison of both speakers and their communication abilities. The Comparision of the Chosen Concepts of Socioeconomic Alternatives

The aim of this diploma thesis is to enrich the political imagination in terms of the ability to think about alternative socioeconomic arrangement of the human society. Its topic is a comparison of three chosen concepts of socioeconomic alternatives according to the following criteria: (1) the degree of economic democracy in terms of the employees' control of enterprises and in terms of the citizens' control of economy, (2) their political systems and (3) the means of remuneration. The chosen concepts of alternative socioeconomic arrangement present concepts of market socialism of David Schweickart, cybersocialism of Allin Cottrell and W. Paul Cockshott and the participatory economics of Michael Albert. The aim of this diploma thesis was realized through the analysis and description of the chosen concepts of socioeconomic alternatives and their subsequent comparison by virtue of the mentioned criteria. Besides the method of analysis and comparison there were also used the methods of induction, deduction, analogy and abstraction. By virtue of the comparison of the chosen socioeconomic alternatives according to the criteria we found out that large measure of economic democracy in employee's control of enterprises, as in the case of market socialism, decreases the degree of influence of citizens on...
