The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to compare transradial and transfemoral access to vessel during the heart cathetrization. considering the subjective perception of client. It is resumpting the present status of interventional treatment of heart diseases, summarizing the most impoilant methods of this treatment and adverts to significance of educating the clients. Empirical research is based on the informations captured from the interviewed clients of the catheterization laboratory in Hradec Králové and it is proposing to evaluate subjective perception of the invasive examination by the client. considering the vessel access.
The Motives and Strategies in the Behaviour of Parents Refusing the Compulsory Vaccination

7 ABSTRACT The compulsory vaccination of children has lately become a very actual and frequently discussed topic in the Czech Republic. The public opinion about the compulsory vaccination divide parents on two different groups which are presented by the opinion for or against the vaccination. In my thesis I tried to present the opinion of parents with the different view on the compulsory vaccination. The thesis mainly focuses on the decision-making process by parents. I try to describe how they perceive the compulsory vaccination of their children and what their experience with it is, and how they consequently decide about the realization, changes and rejection of the compulsory vaccination. The main research issue of my work is: What steps parents take when making opinion about the compulsory vaccination and what is happening with parents who decide for or against vaccination. In the theoretical part of my thesis I concentrate on the description of the history of the compulsory vaccination, on the development of system of the vaccination in our country and in the world, on the vaccination schemes and vaccines, the list of vaccinated diseases, the functions of immune system, the model of distribution and payment for the vaccines, the criticism with arguments for and against the vaccination. VERBAL COMMUNICATION IN HOME HEALTH CARE Diploma thesis deals with problems of verbal communication in home health care. This is topical and very important issue in the fieldwork, as in each workplace there is a need of good superior-inferior communication, as well as cooperation among workers of the institution. Then employees-patients and senior employees-patients communication, and finally interaction among patients' general practitioners and patients' family members also plays important role in this field of health care. General description of communication is included into theoretical part; afterwards details about verbal communication follow. The next part refers to communication in organization and communication in health care. Theoretical part is concluded with information about home care. In the practical part, using the form of quantitative research, the standard of contemporary verbal communication in the home nursing service department of City charity Plzeň is found out. Compliance with legislation by healthcare professionals in the ICU

The topic of this diploma thesis is the compliance with legislation in an area of competencies of general nurses and special nurses working in intensive care units (ICU). The aim of the investigation was to map out, how nurses in the ICU comply with legislation in the area of their competencies and whether their work is influenced by anything. The results showed two trends - situation within a specific unit, that means whether nurses contravene their competencies; whether nurses are aware about their competencies and about competencies of doctors and in addition why nurses are contravening their competencies and what is the opinion of doctors on compliance of competencies for medical professionals, what is the position of management towards contravention of competencies by nurses . Furthermore, the situation overall, that means existence of further regulatory measures, which impact on the conduct of nurses within units. On the basis of those findings the following recommendations are made for leaders of department. 8 ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the theme: "The principles of the safe administration of medication and it's impact on the quality of care". This work is divided into two sections - theoretical and practical. The main purpose of the theroretical part is to focus on recapping the theories of quality in healthcare, especially in terms of safety for patients during medication administration. The drugs are the most frequently used therapeutic means of the modern medicine and therefore the topic of safe administration is so often the matter of discussion. Theoretical part of my thesis defines quality in healthcare and also includes chapters about methods for improving the quality and standardization of health care. This work presents an effective tools for dealing with misconducts and describes possible reasons and causes of patient's harm during the administration processes. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to the content analysis of the selected nursing standards from hospitals within the Czech Republic. v anglickém jazyce Management of physical activities in multiple sclerosis patients The thesis introduces how is possible to organise physical activities in groups of multiple sclerosis patients. First theoretical part of thesis describes the multiple sclerosis as one of the most frequent neurological disease with its typical symptoms and possible farmacologic treatment. There are also few comments about patients attittude to physical activity, their adherence to regular physical activity and how to motivate them for better compliance. Lastly this theoretical part contains international recommendation concerning type, intensity and duration of exercise in multiple sclerosis patients. The second part of thesis is about practical experiences with group exercise management in our organization (MS Center, 1st Faculty of Medicine and General University Hospital in Prague). The experiences from group exercise are analysed from three diffrent points of view: objective measurement of gait parametres, exercise attendance and data gained from patient questionnaire. Petr Vrzáček, Department of Management and Supervision in Social and Health Organisations The focus of the thesis was development and especially implementation of nursing practice standards as well as exploration of non-medical health professionals' attitudes towards this process in Nachod Regional Hospital. The theoretical part clarified the concept of quality, standard, audit, accreditation, certification and also addressed the role of health and nursing care management in quality control. The practical part was divided into three research sections. The first one diagnosed nursing practice standards, their prototype version above all. The findings from this diagnosis provided two recommendations - to revise current version of methodology for standard process creation and to start changing health professionals' attitudes towards standards and standardization of nursing practice. The heart is not just muscle. Ethical issues of interventional cardiology

Interventional cardiology is currently one of the fastest developing fields in modern medicine and it is therefore essential to consider its connection with ethical issues. Theoretical part of this thesis deals with interventional cardiology as a clinical discipline, introduces cardiac catheterization as a diagnostic and therapeutic method and traces the historical development of the field as well. It also outlines the ethical issues, dilemmas and problems that exist in invasive cardiology, as described in the literature. Some of them, such as the issue of informed consent and the impact of ratification of the Convention on Biomedicine, then in more detail. The author also intends to reflect the relationship of patients with doctors and the rest of the medical staff. In the empirical part the thesis deals with the knowledge of ethical issues among the paramedical staff working in the catheterization departments in the Czech republic and identifies the views of this staff on the selected ethical context in interventional cardiology. Client oriented assessment of servis quality of two inpatient physiotherapy units, a comparative study

The main object of this diploma thesis is to compare two inpatient physiotherapy units from the patients point of view. The first part of this thesis is focused on theory connected with current economic position of individual medical facilities in the system of Czech healthcare, their image and credit. The next part defines quality of service in medicine and methods of assessment of quality, both objective and subjective. Objective methods cover the system of Medical Standards, Accreditation and Specialized Medical Assessment Systems. Subjective methods comprise both qualitative and quantitative assessment. In the practical part of this thesis the quantitative assessment questionnaires from two physiotherapy units are analyzed to identify fields for future improvement at each medical facility. Both physiotherapy units are described and structure of questionnaire is defined. The results indicate reserves in the field of communication between patient and medical professionals, quality of patients wards and degree of privacy. Sociological probe as a part of thesis reveals some key factors for patients from different social groups to be satisfied with their stay at the physiotherapy unit.
