The theoretical part offers an overview of the overall development of literature for children and youth from the beginning to the present. The terms of the genre and diary are clarified in this part. The overview of contemporary genres and currently published titles are mentioned as well as their popularity at these days.
Utilization of analysis of the spatial relationships between meteorological variables in data assimilation into a numerical weather prediction model
Sedláková, Klára ; Sokol, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Řezáčová, Daniela (referee)
UTILIZATION OF ANALYSIS OF THE SPATIAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN METEOROLO- GICAL VARIABLES IN DATA ASSIMILATION INTO A NUMERICAL WEATHER PREDICTION MODEL Quality of initial conditions has a big impact on the accuracy of numerical forecast. The aim of the preparation of the initial conditions is to modify the first guess of the atmospheric state based on the observed data of the meteorological variables so it fit the actual atmospheric state. At present these conditions are usually prepared by objective analysis or by assimilating measured data into model fields. One of the method of the data assimilation is a 3D variational method (3D VAR). It prepares the initial model conditions so that the model fields correspond to actual measured values, while maintaining the spatial relationships between the values of model variables. By utulising the spatial relationships we can improve the initial conditions and so the forecast. In this work we concentrate on study of the spatial relationship in the convective storms based on correlation analysis of the model variables. We used the model data from COSMO model with horizontal resolution 2.8 km, which were describing 152 convective storms in all the vertical levels. The analysis proved storng relationship between vertical speed, vertical speed and air...
Memory for nonverbal material in patients with mild cognitive impairment
Sedláková, Kateřina ; Kulišťák, Petr (advisor) ; Stehlík, Luděk (referee)
Patients with amnestic type of mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) are diagnosed mainly on the basis of performance in verbal memory tests. This thesis deals with the use of a nonverbal test called the Brief Visuospatial Memory Test-Revised (BVMT-R) for the diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This research compared the performance of patients with clinical diagnosis of MCI (N=79) using the BVMT-R with the performance of these patients using the Auditory Verbal Learning Test (AVLT), the AVLT being a validated instrument for differentiating aMCI patients from healthy control patients. Both tests follow a similar design paradigm, but they differ in the type of stimuli measured: the BVMT-R tests memory for nonverbal material and the AVLT tests for verbal material. Results showed that there is a moderate correlation between scores (total score, delayed recall score) of the BVMT-R and equivalent scores of the AVLT. Further analyses of performance of MCI patients in both tests (in total scores and delayed recall scores) identified that there was a proportion of patients tested using the BVMT-R with memory impairment that did not show any memory impairment using the AVLT. Our findings indicate a favorable diagnostic potential of BVMT-R in the diagnostics of mild cognitive impairment. Keywords:...
Road to Respect: Reason for Migration to Germany from the Perspective of Future Graduates of Prague Medical Faculties of Charles University
Sedláková, Klára ; Čada, Karel (advisor) ; Šanderová, Jadwiga (referee)
This master thesis deals with the topic of migration of the fresh graduates from Czech Republic to Germany. By means of a qualitative research the decision and reasons to migrate are presented in this thesis like a natural strategy of reaction on decline of an actual situation of young doctors in the Czech health system. The research shows an important role of the non-financial motivating factors. The central topic of research became the social status, especially the prestige and related respect. The reasons for migration are introduced with the theoretical help of the Push and pull factors theory. The understanding of the strategy of decision to migrate as a natural process is related to the theory of Exit, voice and loyalty of Albert Hirschman. The research is based on a series of semi-structured interviews with participants who intend to migrate after the graduation. Since this thesis is focused on the perspective of the main actors of the phenomenon, the migrants, it introduces the diversity of their attitudes to the reasons for migration. The main finding is the importance of the role of respect in the particular everyday situations, which is reflected in the several of ascertained types of motivating factors to migrate. The research also discovered the particular meanings of the motivational...
Risk Related to Selecting a Supplier Using Fuzzy Logic
Sedláková, Klára ; Weiterová, Monika (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of models for evaluation of suppliers and their possible risks for a retail food business. Supplier risk is evaluated using fuzzy logic. Models are created in Microsoft Excel and MATLAB. At the beginning of the thesis is the problem defined in the theoretical framework, which is followed by the analytical and practical part of the thesis with proposals for solution of the problem.
The group buying phenomenon - factors leading to it's popularity and consumer position on the daily deals market from the user perspective
Sedláková, Klára ; Soukup, Petr (advisor) ; Balážová, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on a phenomenon of group-buying on daily deals websites, especially then on the factors leading to it's popularity and the consumer position on the daily deals market. The topic is viewed from the user perspective, which the author tries to get to by way of a qualitative research. The author relies on the sociological theory of the consumer society in which she tries to find the roots of the successfully spreading of popularity of the discused phenomenon. As well author draws on there the theoretical background for a topic of consumer position on the daily deals market. Causes of spreading out are researched by a force of an exploration of motivation factors leading users to buy there. On that account there are as well described the theoretical conceptions of motivation and needs in brief. Author conducted a series of semistructured interview in which she emphasised the meanings that the users attach to the particular action. The analytical part of thesis connects main causes of spreading out of phenomenon, theoretically grounded in the theories of consumer society, with a typical aspects of this rather new way of internet shopping and consequent consume. The second topic, the own consumer-user view on their position on this market, is discused as well there.
The study of the role of cell populations in rejection and tolerance of orthotopic corneal transplants
Sedláková, Klára ; Filipec, Martin (advisor) ; Jirásková, Naďa (referee) ; Čejková, Jitka (referee)
Small animal models of orthotopic corneal transplantation offer many advantages for the study of immune mechanisms after grafting - not only because of the similar mechanisms of murine and human corneal transplant rejection but also due to the feasibility of the direct observation of the animal without the need to sacrifice it. The purpose of the thesis was to study this model in mouse and rat. We established allotransplantation (BALB/c to C57BL/6 mouse and Wistar Furth to Lewis rat) and concordant xenotransplantation model (rat to mouse; Lewis to BALB/c and Sprague Dawley to BALB/c) and set up grading schemes for the evaluation of the clinical course after grafting. Initially, we focused on the effect of the suturing technique on the survival of xenografts and on the efficacy of selected immunosuppressants: cyclosporine A, monoclonal antibody against T cells (anti-Thy-1.2) and AMT (a specific inhibitor of inducible nitric oxide synthase, 2- amino-5.6-dihydro-6-methyl-4-H-1.3-thiazine)). The results demonstrate that the suturing technique significantly affects the outcome of transplantation and, importantly, influences the effectiveness of immunosuppressive regimens and therefore must be taken into account when evaluating the efficacy of immunosuppressive drugs. FTY720 is a novel immunosuppressant with a...
