Planktonic ecosystems of the Upper Jurassic and Cretaceous (calcareous nannoplankton, calpionellids)

The presented PhD thesis is compiled as a commentary to four published papers, which deal with planktonic assamblages of the Upper Jurassic and Cretaceous, namely with calcareous nannofossils and calpionellids. The first part of the dissertation thesis describes the main characteristics of the studied fossil groups with focus on their morphology, palaeoecology, evolution and systematics. The chapter of calcareous nannoplankton gives special attention to the biostratigraphicaly important genus Nannoconus Kampter 1931. Next chapters describe the methods of the laboratory processing of the sediments and the geological settings of the studied areas. The thesis is focused on two areas. At first the selected localities in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, i.e. Upper Turonian and Upper Coniacian, are described. Generally, the Upper Cretaceous platform sediments of the middle European basins are rich in calcareous nannoplankton. These fossils represent important marker for biostratigraphical and palaeoecological interpretations. The second part describes carbonate rocks of the Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous of the Tethyan area. Creation of Home among Vietnamese living in Czech Republic

Creation of Home among Vietnamese living in Czech Republic Abstract The aim of this paper is to determine through an analysis of interviews how the migrants create such an environment to feel like at home in it. The paper is divided into five chapters. In the first part is review of selected concepts of migration and concepts of home. The second part describes the methodology and also are there introduced research participants. The third part describes how the Vietnamese came to the Czech Republic and how many are currently living in the Czech Republic. The last part contents the analysis of the interviews. The analysis showed that the family is, in host society, able to create a home through maintenance of religious customs, customs of eating and through material artifacts. Upper Turonian and lower Coniacian calcareous nannoplankton stratigraphy in the borehole V 800 Střeleč, Bohemian Cretaceous Basin

Upper Turonian and Lower Coniacian calcareous nannoplankton stratigraphy in the borehole V 800 Střeleč, Bohemian Cretaceous Basin Number of biostratigraphic studies has been performed within the Upper Cretaceous platform sediments of the NW Europe, however, the problem of Turonian-Coniacan boundary has not yet been satisfactorily resolved using available methods in the field of micropaleontology. The proposed thesis has described the species composition of calcareous nannoplankton assemblages in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, across the Upper Turonian- Lower Coniacian interval, focusing on the stratigraphically and paleoecologically important species. Seventy-three taxa of calcareous nannofossils in the studied material have been determined and signifiant species have been discussed (Marthasterites furcatus, Kamptnerius magnificus, Lucianorhabdus sp., Braarudosphaera sp., Nannoconus sp., Watznaueria barnesae, Uniplanarius gothicus, Quadrum gartneri, Thoracosphaera operculata). For purposes of this thesis, a suitable material from the V 800 Střeleč borehole, one of the key cretaceous profil in the Český ráj area, was obtained.

Theoretical questions of edition of Old Czech Prokopian legend: with a proposition of edition of "Život sv. Prokopa"

Thesis deals with the textological-editorial issue of Old Czech texts, to be resolved at The Old Czech Passional material, focusing on the legend of St. Procopius of Sazava. The theoretical part deals with basic textological questions: the choice of the original text of the edition, the choice of type and form of the edition etc. Part of theoretical training is also to evaluate the past editions of the Old Czech prosaic Prokopian legend and to set them in the context of development over the publication of works of Old Czech literature. The practical part applies the theoretical findings in the preparation of critical edition of Prokopian legend, taking into account the specific issues of The Old Czech Passional. Part of the proposed edition is a detailed editorial report containing description of the graphic and language of existing text sources (manuscripts and prints), principles of transcription, a list of corrections of the original text, a list of linguistic and factual explanatory notes and a list of different text version of variant text sources. Thesis is given a literary-historical performance Prokopian hagiography issue and is accompanied by a list of sources and editions of Prokopian legends and numerous secondary literature.

The depiction of the gentry in the novels of Zsigmond Móricz

In my dissertation I focus on the novels of Zsigmond Móricz that depict a certain social phenomenon known as the gentry. I concentrate on how Zsigmond Móricz portrays the gentry and the members of that class, the heroes of his novels, in the period of crisis of the Dual Monarchy and in the years between the two world wars. I was interested in discovering the view the author takes of the historical context and the reasons for the demise of this social class and associated phenomena, and his view of the gentry's potential for transformation. To obtain an understanding of the topic and the question I am looking at, I first focus on explaining the concept of the gentry and then go on to outline the historical and social context of the period under analysis and the literary context in which Móricz's novels on the gentry emerged. The central part of the study comprises analyses of four of his novels: Kivilágos kivirradtig (Until the Morning Light), Úri muri (The Pleasures of the Gentry), Forró mezők (Incandescent Fields) and Rokonok (Relatives). All four novels were written in the interwar years (1924-1932), the period on which I have chosen to focus in my dissertation. Andrea Svobodová Komplexní studium Rukopisu dzikovského se zam ením na grafickou, jazykovou a textovou analýzu eské sbírky kázání A Comprehensive Study of The Dzikowian Manuscript Focusing on a Graphic, Language and Textual Analysis of the Czech Postil Abstract The thesis submits a comprehensive philological analysis of the Dzikowian Manuscript, an insufficiently explored late medieval manuscript containing two postils, de tempore in Latin and de sanctis in Old Czech. The thesis aims to specify the place of this work in the context of medieval preaching, to critically review the previous research and to find new paths of research in evaluating this work. It is divided into three chapters, their common topic being attribution of both the postils on the grounds of codicological, content, and especially language features. Special emphasis is put on description of non-standard language phenomena, their interpretation being a key factor for transcription rules (one of the main results achieved apart from precising probable dating and localisation is a complete transcription of the Old Czech postil). Technology in potato cultivation aimed at efficient use of nitrogen

Environmental-friendly technology of potato growing was studied in field trial plots on Valečov Research Station belonging to Potato Research Institute Havlíčkův Brod between 2010 and 2014. The first part was focused on the effect of local application of mineral fertilizers on production yield and quality. The second part studied the effect of nitrogen fertilizer containing urease inhibitor (UREAstabil) compared to urea in increasing rates on yield and selected parameters of potato quality. In the first part of trials with liquid DAM 390, ammonium sulphate and urea the obtained results show that yield differences among selected fertilization variants were insignificant with certain tendency in favour of the variant with split nitrogen rate using DAM 390. For evaluated quality parameters no statistically significant differences among tested fertilization variants were recorded. In the second part of trials evaluating UREAstabil and urea applied at various rates during soil preparation prior to planting, applied rate had a higher effect on potato yields than nitrogen form. The results show that mutual comparison of urea and UREAstabil did not indicate any statistically significant yield differences.

In the theoretical part, I explain the concepts of which will be based in the practical part of this work. Then i will describe the company that I chose for this work. In the practical part is made the marketing strategy, that will help company to have a better market position.

Financial Analysis of the Selected Firm

This dissertation is focused on an evaluation of the financial situation of ENERG-SERVIS a. s. for the period 2006 - 2008. Elementary methods of technical analysis were used for the purpose of the evaluation. Data used for the processing of this analysis were gained from the business accounting documentation regarding the balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and the overview of financial flows. First section of this dissertation will explain the theoretical underpinnings of this project and the second section will present the financial analysis of the company, its evaluation and possible recommendations related to the improvement of the company's financial situation.
