Coaching and typology of personality
Riethof, Norbert ; Riegel, Karel (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
This work describes theoretical background of coaching and it compares coaching with other methods in human resources development areas. The main context is the usage of coaching in corporate organizations. This work also combines coaching methodology with personality type approaches, in this case through the lenses of MB TI. Description of a developmental project implementation for an IT organization in the Czech Republic provides a framework in which coaching is shown as a main component of such a developmental project. It also explores the relationship between theoretically derived developmental needs of individuals and those of empirical origin. In a closing section it provides a view on status of coaching both nowadays and in the future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Specifics of managerial communication in an intercultural environment
Srncová, Jaroslava ; Janoušek, Jaromír (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee) ; Kostroň, Lubomír (referee)
We have decided to get involved into the research project "managerial communication specifics within multicultural environment" due to two reasons. Firstly, this topic has been widely discussed since the 90s boom of foreign investments in the Czech republic, secondly, multicultural compames deal more and more with the issue of communication misunderstandings due to different styles in leading and motivating people. Czech and German cultures have become particularly attractive, though. There are many historical links, we live next to each other and there is a lively business cooperation. Corporate culture represents a large range of individua! aspects that are to be taken into consideration: national culture, communication pattems, manners and cultural habits, history, intercultural relations and key persona! characterics and skills of mangers. We appreciate a kind and open contribution of top managers working within Czech and German companies that were involved into the project. Our research involves three stages: I. 74 managers on middle and top positions from different companies were asked about the most frequent critical situations in intercultural communication. Their resposes were transfered into final questionnaires and cartoon situations and that is why represented key criteria for the next research....
The development of television advertising in terms of its influence on the formation of gender roles - comparative analysis
Sprostredkúvajú nám ich spočiatku naši rodičia, neskor vstupujeme do čoraz širších spoločenských vzťahov. Učia nás, čo je správne, čo je...

Moravcová, Michaela ; Rymeš, Milan (referee) ; Hermochová, Soňa (advisor)
In the last twenty years, acculturation has been one of the most extensively researched topics in cross-culture psychology. In this diploma thesis, attention 1s drawn to acculturation of foreign managers assigned to the Czech Republic. First, relevant terms such as culture ( corporate and national), cross-culture psychology, expatriate and acculturation are defined. In the second part of the paper, the pre-research is described. The aim of the pilot study is to identify the possibilities of further research in the field of acculturation of foreign managers working in the Czech Republic and also to recognize conditions that play a possible role in their acculturation process.
