Comparison of Family and Kindergarten's Cooperation in conception of main educational stream and of Step by Step
Pilpachová, Zdenka ; Rybárová, Eva (advisor) ; Poche Kargerová, Jana (referee)
The author compares approaches to co-operation with the family as applied in mainstream kindergartens and alternative kindergartens with the Step by Step programme. The thesis aims to determine the extent to which the forms and intensity of communication and co-operation between family and kindergarten differ depending on the kindergarten's educational programme, and identify the strengths and weaknesses of mutual communication. In the theoretical section, the author outlines the importance of co-operation between family and kindergarten for the development of preschool children, the possible forms of such co-operation and the rules laid down by applicable legal regulations and curricular documents, and describes how this co- operation is understood in the Step by Step programme. In the empirical section, the author uses a mixed research strategy combining quantitative and qualitative research to answer the research questions. Data for the research were collected through a questionnaire survey, where the respondents included teachers and parents of children attending selected Prague-based mainstream kindergartens and kindergartens with the Step by Step programme. The research has shown that, in terms of the forms of communication and co-operation between family and kindergarten, there are no significant...

Richterová, Kristýna ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Rybárová, Eva (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of work with illustration in kindergarten as support to understanding a text that is read aloud. The aim is to design and verify methods of working with illustrations in kindergarten that support the understanding of a text that is read aloud to preschool children. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I deal with illustration, visual literacy, method of working with a book, understanding a text (read aloud) and the characteristics of preschool children with regard to the topic of the thesis. Subsequently, I apply this knowledge in the practical implementations. In the practical part, I propose and verify methods of working with illustration in kindergarten which should support the understanding of a text that is read aloud to preschool children. The thesis is focused on qualitative research in which I compared differences between research and experimental group sample. First, I tested the level of skill of all twenty children when working with illustrations and understanding of a text read aloud (both research and experimental group samples). Then I put together seven preparations where I focused on the development of reading strategies and I supported the children in the understanding of the text read aloud on the basis of selected expected outcomes...

My research indicates, that my methods led to an increase in pre-literacy abilities of children which participated in testing. Difference between children that were educated with my newly developed methods and those who were not are...

Rybárová, Eva ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Kropáčková, Jana (referee)
The aim of the study was to demonstrate that the reading strategies can be applied even for the preschool children. These strategies help children to understand the text read out aloud. In the theoretical part I am devoted to define the concept of pre-reading literacy, its connection with critical thinking and introducing the program Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking. I also clarified the relationship between reading skills and reading strategies, approached selected reading strategies and possible methods for their development. In conclusion of the theoretical part I outlined some of the strategies that might be suitable for working with preschool children. In the practical part I focused on the acquisition of individual strategies for preschool children, for the exact strategies: connecting (text to self, text to text, text to world), visualizing, predicting, reasoning, summarizing and questioning. Each of them I presented on concrete examples. I also proposed an integrated project involving work with these strategies, which I realized and then analysed. Based on the results of research, I have concluded that preschool children can work very well with these strategies, while indicating that these significantly contribute to the comprehension of the text of preschool children. Rybářová, Eva ; Fixa, Petr (advisor) ; Hájková, Božena (referee) ; Šauer, Karel (referee)
Development and history of nursing care in dialyzed patients This bachelor thesis is divided into two basic parts. The first part deals with the development and history of nursing care in dialyzed patients. The second part contains a questionnaire survey focused on finding the most common nursing problems in hemodialyzed and peritoneally dialyzed patients. It should follow from my study that the professional attitude of the nursing staff, complex, planned and individualized care for patients and friendly approach to them significantly influence not only the quality of nursing care but also the quality of life of a dialyzed patient.
