Path Finding in the Vector Data in OpenStreetMap Project
Adamček, Adam ; Procházka, Boris (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
Pathfinding services are nowadays often used by people to plan a route through an unknown area. This bachelor's thesis deals with designing and implementation of an application which is able to search in free map data provided by the OpenStreetMap project and visualize resulting paths. During the search, not only the way types, but the selected transport type and the attributes of the eventual route will be taken into account as well. The work also contains an analysis of the OSM format and the proposal of a custom, more compact format useful for storing the preprocessed data. Eventually, the implemented application's performance is tested and its output is compared with other commonly used routing solutions.
HTML5 Application for Smartphone and Tablet Allowing Marking Places on a Map
Kasper, Valter ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
The development of web technologies headed by the HTML5 standard, has allowed creating of advanced mobile applications using only HTML, CSS and Javascript. In many cases, this approach is better, than creating native mobile application separately for each mobile platform. We will show you a possible approach to develop real applications in this way. The application will access peripheral devices only with the help HTML5.
Car Licence Plate Detection and Recognition
Kovaříček, Roman ; Procházka, Boris (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with finding the license plates in the image and pattern recognition. Work describes short history of the state license plates. It deals with also the current state license plates and their problems. It analyzes the process of image segmentation and follow evaluation of selected areas. A part of the work is design and implementation of algorithms that solve candidate search areas or characters. The final step is the recognition of individual characters and display the user with details of the result.
Exploits of Programs Written in C Language
Buček, Hynek ; Kněžík, Jan (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis deals with exploiting techniques, using programming errors of C language programs. Work is mainly focused on problems such as: buffer overflow, stack overflow, heap overflow, BSS overflow, format string overflow and integer overflow. Document also describes some of the current counter-measures prevent misuse of these errors. To help understand this topic in the first introductory part is a short chapter focusing on a theoretical basis. The following chapters principles described in detail the various types of attacks. On the end of work we find chapter about security.
Linux Keylogger
Pivarník, Jozef ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis collaborates on methods of logging key strokes in linux kernel in order to reveal secret passwords. Two methods are presented, both of which are useful for specific purpose. While the first one is effective in catching passwords typed in linux terminal environment, the other one intercepts every key stroke, even in a graphical user interface, and is designed to be working on the lowest level.
Windows Phone 7 Application for Traffic Sign Recognition
Dvořák, Marek ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
Purpose of this thesis is to create an application that detects and recognizes traffic signs for mobile phones running Windows Phone 7 operating system. Theoretical part contains information about history and characteristics of Windows Phone 7 system, traffic signs in Czech Republic and various methods of image processing. Practical part of this thesis describes particular implementation of recognizing of traffic signs in photographs taken with mobile phone built-in camera. In last part this app is tested in real-life conditions and results of these tests are evaluated.
Code Analyzer for C Language
Ovšonka, Daniel ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis deals with the principles of program exploitation and detection of potential vulnerabilities in the programs. This detection system offers to create safer program structures. At the beginning of the work the reader is familiarized with the basics of C programming language, assembly language and the GCC compiler. He is also introduced into the matter of exploitation techniques such as buffer overflow, heap overflow, BSS overflow, format string exploits and integer overflow. This work also describes the concept, implementation and results generated by application.
Parcel Number Recognition in Cadastral Maps
Svoboda, Jiří ; Lodrová, Dana (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
Content of this thesis is to create an application, which displays cadastral maps of Czech Republic, after parcel of land is marked by user, application automatically recognizes land parcel number, on which basis are the information from cadastre of real estates shown.
The Hidden Resources Detector for GNU/Linux
Nečas, Radek ; Rogalewicz, Adam (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis was to detect hide resources in GNU/Linux operating systems and analyse tools so called rootkits, which are used to hide system resources. This thesis is devided into two parts, theoretical and practical one. Theoretic part focusses on resource managment, representation, privilege levels and system calls. Practical part covers design and implementation of an abstract detector. Each new detection method is implemented as a plugin. Some of those methods are realized as linux kernel modules. The usability of the detector is compared against real rootkits.
iPhone Application for Number Plate Recognition
Sládeček, Roman ; Dvořák, Radim (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis talks about theoretical and practical side of development of application for Apple iPhone mobile cell phone and for its operating system called iOS. In theoretical part are contained informations about history of this device, about tools for creating application for this mobile platform and there is shortly sketched procedure and process how the application is deployed into the phone. Next part deals with the licence number plates, their signification and integrity restrictions. Main core of whole thesis is a practical part about creation and implementation mobile application for recognition of that number plates with supporting of built-in camera and its consecutive text representation or manipulation with that data. In the final part there is a review of results which this application brings after testing and experimenting in different conditions.
