Lochařová, Linda ; Šnýdrová, Ivana (advisor) ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee)
The economic depression ongoing last two years has influenced the significant growth of unemployment. Many people involuntarily lost their jobs and the perspective of future job opportunities at labour market have minimized due to continuing economic recession. Consequences of job loss have affected not only those who lost their jobs but also their families and loved ones. Job loss and unemployment have become a problem of all of us. This work is dedicated to psychological aspects of the job loss and subsequent unemployment. Psychological problems associated with enforced leaving of the job are reflected in the context of present reality. Also economic and social factors are partly covered as they are closely connected to the job loss and unemployment. Alternating cycles of the free market economy are commonly accompanied by considerable fluctuations in labour demand and supply. The adequate management of those fluctuations is connected with deeper insight, knowledge and understanding of the situation of those who lost their jobs; flexible training for possible unemployment as well as the efficient state labour and social policy.

Nakládalová, Petra ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee)
This diploma summarizes to readers the essential causes of orgin of economic recession in these days (2007 - 2009), its form and run in the Czech Republic and its impacts in business area. The main part of my thesis deals with the impact of the economic recession (crisis) on human resources management and development of human capital. I pursue mainly the topic of change of personnel activities in companies, change of the role of human resources managers, associates and leading managers, which are the substantial part of HR management and development of the people. This work describes the topic of economic recession from the unique view of HR department or leading managers. Economic issues of the company present problems even for all activities within human resources management. The shortage of money restrains dramatically all possibilities of the firm in this area. In times of economic crisis the companies make decisions about layoffs, cutting of many personnel activities regarding employee's care and services, cutting of the benefits and about the change of rewarding system ect.. This situation is usually followed by strong emotions, stress, frustration and no-confidence. Many employers could have tried to experience their new role in position of a crisis manager,an initiator and a manager of changes. The...
Recruitment and staff selection
Bláhová, Lucie ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee)
Recruitment and staff selection is a topic which deserves attention to be given in literature. Recruitment and staff selection are areas of personnel work that are crucial for any organization because they influence its efficiency. The fundamental part of successful selection process is job analysis which is followed by recruitment. Every organization should consider choosing recruiting from internal (inner) sources or recruiting from external (outer) sources, or its combination. Another issue that an organization should consider is the method or methods of recruitment. Staff selection is not less important than recruitment and there are more methods of staff selection as well. Regarding both methods of recruitment and methods of staff selection, organization usually chooses more than one method of recruitment and more methods of staff selection at the same time. In the practical part of my thesis I concentrated on AYS and its service portfolio. I focussed my attention on ways of recruitment and the process of selection. AYS uses well-established means of recruitment such as on-line recruitment, advertisements and its own database of applicants. The whole selection process is executed according to the company's procedure and its know-how. I also tried to point out both weaknesses and strengths of AYS. There...
Education and professional development of employees
Kuklíková, Lucie ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee)
Human resources strategy management is currently being considered one of the most important parts of each company strategy. This is mainly due to the fact that main aim is to work with people as with the most valuable company asset. During the last couple of years HR management experienced much of an improvement. In many companies HR management doesn't represent sole "hiring and firing" people but all is related now to longterm strategie aims. Many companies do become learning organizations where people are being taught new skills and knowledge in direct interaction with their work and other organization members. Culture and possibilities of a given com pany do play a significant role here in terms of personal employee growth and available education and courses are related to company own investment into its own fate.
Prezent and future of human resources management
Vraná, Marcela ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee) ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor)
The main focus of my thesis is the evolution of personnel work, development of management and corporate culture, current trends and difficulties in the human resources work, the future of human resources management and motivation of employees. The first place is occupied on purpose by the evolution of personnel work, since the thesis is primarily about the human resources management. The development of management gives the chapter a final touch and makes it possible for the reader to find a parallel between different directions in management in the context of a human resources work development. The human resources management as a development stage of the personnel work significantly touches the activities of every organisation; it forms an important part of them. In the environment of many organisations, however, its mission is largely underestimated; the personnel department is perceived as being only an administrative one; often the education and training is chaotic, if any. The attention dedicated to the recruitment of employees and line managers is insufficient. The personnel professionals are to a certain extent disadvantaged within their organisations; their activity is considered auxiliary serving especially for supporting the line management. There occurs a conflict of roles and competencies. In my...

Hájková, Dina ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis I deal with the issue of equal opportunities, because I take it that the current period is a kind of milestone in the understanding of a democratic society. The aim of this bachelor work is to highlight the shortcomings of Czech society and it is also to offer the possibility of leading to equal opportunities as a basic building article democratic society in the form of various types of condensed time jobs or new management trends such as age management and diversity management.
