Internet, new media and information policy in Uzbekistan

The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the Information Policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, focused primarily on the mid. 90s up to nowadays. The focus is mainly given on to the ICT development and its support by the Republic of Uzbekistan. It covers the analysis and descriptions on access to information, restriction problems of the press and censorship. Theoretical knowledge has been supported with practical analysis gained during the study tour to Uzbekistan. During the study tour has been accomplished a small exploratory study conduct a survey of how the Internet and the mass media is accepted and used by the population of Uzbekistan. The case study, at the end of the thesis, tries to approach the use of the Internet and particularly the so-called new media by independent journalists from Radio Ozodlik, an Uzbek department of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

Práce na základě analýzy hodnotí významné prvky současné informační politiky ČR v oblasti veřejné správy především ve smyslu komunikace s občany. Obecně definuje informační politiku a informační společnost jako výslednici působení současné informační politiky. Podává stručný historický přehled realizace informační politiky ve veřejné správě v ČR. Analyzuje důležité dokumenty, standardy a institucionální a legislativní zabezpečení informační politiky. Podrobně se zabývá konkrétními oblastmi realizace informační politiky ve smyslu elektronizace veřejné správy. E-participation Tools Analysis in Municipalities with Extended Powers of the Region of South Bohemia

The thesis analyses and evaluates the tools of e-participation in the municipalities with extended powers of the Region of South Bohemia. The thesis is divided into three main chapters and it contains the theoretical as well as the practical part. The theoretic part consists of two chapters, introducing the problematics of e-government and e-participation. E-government topic is introduced from the national as well as international level and the specific examples of the implementation in the Czech Republic are described. The results of the survey of the ICT usage in the public sector of the Czech Republic are also analysed. The topic of e-participation is analysed in the second chaprter. The practical part of the thesis includes the analysis of the e-participation tools in the municipalities with extended powers of the Region of South Bohemia, which is based on the criterions set in the several blocks of the pattern. The results of the analyses are presented through tables, graphs and comments.
The pricing environment of the media market of OOH advertising in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the analysis of the pricing environment of the OOH advertising media market in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part introduces the concept of marketing communication, but also touches upon advertising as such, including a description of different types of traditional mass media and their role in society. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on a specific communication channel - outdoor advertising. It presents its history, development, planning process and trends. The thesis describes the different types of formats offered on the Czech market, including innovative and alternative ones, but also presents the current problems and limitations associated with this media type. Nevertheless, advertisers are currently investing significant sums in standard OOH advertising formats and suppliers are trying to collect increasingly accurate data to increase the effectiveness of this communication channel. The supply of outdoor advertising operators in the Czech market is concentrated in a few large players. The specific demand and offer of OOH advertising suppliers is presented in the practical part of the thesis in parallel with the offer of the contacted media agencies. Analysis of the integrated traffic information system of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis describes in detail the Integrated traffic information system of the Czech republic, analyzes the individual components and their functions. Author presents the history of the system and the legislative basis and introduces the scheme of the system. It deals with the ways in which data are collected by agenda systems, telematics systems and drivers, how are evaluated as traffic incidents and how are transmitted to the National traffic information and control center, where they are processed. After processing traffic information is distributed to customers - public administrative, Internet portals, proffesionals or using modern technology directly to drivers. Reader gets familiar with modern telematics systems which currently helps manage traffic on roads and highways almost in real time.
Information Policy of Republic of Finland

This diploma thesis called Information policy of Republic of Finland is describing finnish e-government in present time. The text talking about Finnish Regulatory Authority - FICORA. This authority is subordinated to Ministry of transport and communications and it's main mission is making available information, protecting them, but also secure data transmission. With data protection organization helping the National Security Authority or the NSA. The text also describes finnish information policy, it's beggining, the present and the future strategy. It reveals the structure and organization of the whole information system, points out the obstacles it had to Finnish government in implementing e-government deal and what recommendations were given to the State by the OECD. Furthermore, this work demonstrates the most important portals, strategic plans and projects of the Ministry of Finance that the project e-government shielded.
