My thesis deals with the history, incorporating urbanism and links to the organism of Prague. In addition, the work its examines the architectural and construction principles implemented within the building. Šárka Komedová 2009 Resumé Homestead Cibulka in Košíře during ownership of count Lepold Linhart Thun My bachelor thesis deal with cultural monument of Prague 5 - homestead Cibulka in Košíře. Its history is very prosperous and its origins is in the era of Charles IV. when vineyards were founded in the area of present-day urban neighbourhood Košíře. This farmyard was in possession of family Cibulkovský of Veleslavín in the 15th century. From name of this family derived homestaed its present-day name. There were realized rebuilding and enlargement in the era of barock when owner of homestead was professor of Charles University Johann Georg von Funcke. The buildings were also rearranged in the 18th century and the stable with barrel vault with groin was extant up to this day. Fundamental event for homestead Cibulka was its purchase by former Bishop of Passau Leopold Linhart count Thun-Hohenstein in 1817. Soon after purchase he had the homestead rebuilded on rigorous Empire chateau. Easter annex was supplied by turret with bulbous roof and lantern which is characteristic for Cibulka. Main building is surrounded by bishop′s private gardens where sculptural decoration and detailed garden architecture was placed. Folklorism in Czech architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th Century The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of folklore on architecture in the Czech Republic at the turn of 19th and 20th century. It describes the situation in Czech architecture at the end of the 19th century, when the new style Art Noveau appeared. The folkloric movement comes from Art Noveau but it has many other sources, such as the influence of Arts & Crafts or the process of national awareness in Bohemia. The thesis follows different approaches of Czech architects to this phenomenon. It also regards the reception of folkloric movement in the regional building. The thesis focuses on the area of Moravia, where we can see very strong relation to the folk culture. Moravia has also become the background for the formation of different artist associations. In my thesis I point out work of Dušan Jurkovič and Joža Uprka, who represented this phenomenon in painting. It will be explained, that Kotěra was mostly inspired by english modern domestic architecture. These influnces will be described on representative Kotěra's realizations - his early vilas, which will be compared with similar work in England. Czech glass in sacral architecture in the 2nd half of the 20th century This bachelor thesis introduces Czech glass in sacral architecture in the 2nd half of the 20th century that was influenced by the totalitarian regime in the Czechoslovakia and reflects changes after the Second Vatican Council. I focused on the best-known glass designers Stanislav Libenský/ Jaroslava Brychtová, Bohumila Eliáš, Jan Exnar and stained glass designers Ludvík Kolek, Jan Jemelka and Karel Rechlík. I highlighted several of their realizations. After the velvet revolution in 1989, sacral architecture is different especially in the number of executions. Sacral architecture is more variable, more relaxed and can express a deeper iconographic message.

ANGLICKÁ ANOTACE A theme of the bachelor thesis is a live and work of art a Czech artist Olga Karlíková (1923-2004). Her work have not been lined up theoretically, and treating of her comprehensive monograph and listing her art-works in municipal and private hands is an incentive issue and deal for a renowned historian of art. The aim of my work is to partially contribute to exposure her work. A list of her works in municipal institutions hands is a part of the thesis. Olga Karlíková born in 1923 in Prague and there she live through her childhood. In 1948 she graduated at Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where she studied at Prof. Antonín Kybal (1901-1971), and she gained a stance on tapestry because of him. She worked in Ústav bytové a oděvní kultury - ÚBOK (Institute of Quarter and Dress Culture), where she used to design a quarter textile. She dedicated herself to tapestry the most. There used to be an open and creative atmosphere, and Jinrřich Chalupecký spent there a short episode, for example. Jiří and Daisy Mrázkovy were her long-time and close co-workers. Karlíková was a solitaire artist above all. She created without a support of collective programmes. ECOLOGICAL ARCHITECTURE AND HOUSING This thesis deals with ecological architecture and housing. Work aims to clarify the principles and ecological construction. There is Indicated, Chat must respected, so that people can talk about ecological building. Furthermore, there is a development of ecological building, which illuminates the world situation and particular attention to the Czech environment. The historical part covers the period from the late 19th century to the prezent. In fact, since the late 19th century in the field of architecture emerging environmental trends unconsciously. Labour also stresses the first conscious ecological approaches in architecture, such as approaches for Buckminster Fuller and Paolo Soleri. Transformations of Action Art in Bohemia from Nineties of 20th Century until Now

The year 1989 means for art in our country the possibility of free creativity and confrontation with progress in the other world. For the action art, which was formed only within the unofficial scene,the occasion to examinate and demostrate its principles in public space was opened. This change was the reason for organising of many meetings and festivals and creating inventive atmosphere, where new themes and media of expression were found. We can identify there continual tendency to draw the inspiration from the place of action. These tendencies lead to gradual severance of phenomenon called site specific. Its origin relates to the expansion of experimental theatre to the unconventional spaces. This unrepeatable and unique projects with straight relation to the place are products of connection of the action art and theatre performance. Because of limited possibilities of progress and nonavailability of new technologies the developement of new art media was impossible. Restored freedom of individual expression made possible the return of artists from emigration. These artists eminently contributed to gain knowledge in media art. Bakalářská práce mapuje obrazové informace v geografických časopisech vycházejících v 1. pol. 20. století. V první kapitole jsou popsány vývoj a percepce obrazových informací. Dále je popsáno jaký význam mohou pro člověka mít s ohledem na sociokulturní prostředí. Další kapitola se věnuje odborným časopisům, jejich klasifikaci a specifikaci. Jak je možné je rozdělit a jaká jsou jejich specifika. Věnuje se i elektronických a tištěným časopisům, jaké mají výhody a nevýhody. V třetí kapitole jsou detailněji popsány geografické tituly vycházející v 1. pol. 20. století. Kapitola je zaměřena převážně na evropské tituly. V dalších částech práce jsou analyzovány vybrané časopisy. Jaké typy obrazových informací se v nich vyskytují, jejich množství a jaký mají pro vědu a geografii přínos. V poslední části bakalářské práce jsou vyvozeny závěry. Práce je doplněna textovými, tabulkovými a fotografickými přílohami.
