An Occupational Stress in Oncology Nurses and the Option of Support in their Workplace in the University Hospital of Hradec Králové

The thesis deals with occupational stress of oncology nurses and possibilities to support them in their workplace. In the theoretical part, the profession of an oncology nurse is characterized and then it focuses on the human resource management, particularly on motivation of the workers and team support. In the empirical part of the thesis there are details on the qualitative survey conducted in the Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy of the University Hospital in Hradec Králové. As the outcome of the survey there is proposed an optimalization of the professional support for the oncology nurses addressing their defined occupational stress and identified needs. Some of the proposal items should be feasible to implement, particularly the non-financial ones such as keeping the benefit of additional vacation days, restoring one-week stays at a health spa resort and regular counseling with a psychologist. The quality of life of patiens with cancer of glandula thyroidea

80 This bachelor's thesis discuss about the quality of life of patients with thyroid cancer. It describes the problems of quality of life, illness and pain, characterized types of thyroid cancer. It also includes nursing care for patients with thyroid cancer. The empirical part focuses on quantitative research examining the quality of life with cancer of the thyroid gland. Quality of life was studied in two groups of patients. One group consists of patients with thyroid cancer diagnosed undergoing surgical treatment - thyroidectomy. The second group consists of patients with an enlarged thyroid gland and glands of the conversion node, which also undergoing surgical treatment - thyroidectomy. The aim is to compare the quality of life for these two groups. Using a questionnaire we survey the impact of disease on their quality of life. Using a questionnaire EORTC QLQ-C30, we see the impact of disease on their quality of life. Research participated in the investigation of 84 patients after thyroid surgery. Of these, 42 patients operated on for thyroid cancer and 42 patients were operated on for benign thyroid disease (goiter nodoza). Retrospective view on the professional development of a nurse

Bachelor thesis is concerned with the retrosperctive view on professional development of a nurse. The theoretical part is focused on characteristics of nursing and its history. It introduces the profession, role and personality of the nurse. It charts phases of the professional development and describes the education of nurses. The core of the thesis consists of qualitative research which is concerned with the retrosperctive view of nurses on their professional development. Nurses studying in 1970's and 1980's were involved. By the method of interview the retrospective view of nurses on their motivation for nursing, studying period, professional start, stabilisation and post secondary - school education is investigated.
Education patient on oral anticoagulant therapy warfarin

Bachelor thesis focuses on the education of patients with oral anticoagulation therapy with Warfarin. In its theoretical part discusses the two main objectives. The aim of the first part of this work is to provide information on education, guidelines and terms of education, but also the specifics of education of patients treated with Warfarin in cardiology clinic. The second goal is to provide comprehensive information on anti-coagulant drugs - Warfarin. Focus of this work consists of empirical research based on quantitative survey with standardized questionnaire methods, mapping knowledge and information of patients treated with anticoagulant drug Warfarin. The sample of respondents consists of 50 81 patients followed up in cardiology clinic in Velke Mezirici. In the period from November 2009 to February 2010. The outcome of this work is based on observed results from the questionnaire design educational theory hours for patients initiating therapy with Warfarin and a proposal for an information brochure.

The issue of acces the nurses the dying and death

This thesis has dealt with the attitudes and the opinions of nurses towards dying and death. The theoretic part is considered on the definition of death and dying,physical symptoms and the personality of the nurse.The practical part has surveyed and compared the opinions of the nurses, who have been working in the medicial institutions of long-term diseased. These nurses have had a different work experience with bed sitting.This part has decribed, how nurses see their patients and the patients'families in time of dying and death. They mentioned their own apprehensions of dying and their wishes of where and how they would like to die. It has surveyed the access of nurses to dying people, nursing care with dying patients and the care of the dead body.
