The use of Boron Doped Diamond Electrode for Determination of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic Acid
Hrdlička, Vojtěch ; Navrátil, Tomáš
A new method for voltammetric determination of clinical biomarker 5-hydroxyindoleacetic\nacid (HIAA) at the boron-doped diamond electrode (BDDE) was developed. Anodically and\ncathodically pretreated BDDEs were tested in the pH ranges from 1 to 12, pre-treatment at\n+2.0V/60 s, and pH 3 was found to be the optimum.\nThe optimum square wave voltammetry (SWV) parameters were: f = 12 Hz, amplitude 60\nmV, and potential step 4 mV. SWV concentration dependency was constructed in the range\nfrom 0.1 to 100 μmol L−1, limits of determination and detection were 0.3 and 0.1 μmol L−1,\nrespectively. HIAA oxidation electrode process at BDDE was diffusion-controlled, as\nuncovered by cyclic voltammetry. Interestingly, HIAA peak potential was constant in various\nranges of pH, indicating a non-Nernstian behavior at the BDDE, in contrast to a previously\npublished electrooxidation mechanism consisting of a coupled H+/e− transfer.
3D printed materials for the electrochemical determination of biologically active compounds
Choińska, Marta Katarzyna ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Hrdlička, Vojtěch
3D printing materials are relatively novel materials in electrochemistry,\nused for manufacturing of electrochemical cells, electrodes\netc. They have been widely used mainly for tailored, fast, inexpensive,\nand easy preparation of various equipment for analyses of\nbiologically active compounds. Various medicinal products and illicit\ndrugs belong to this broad group of analytes which need to be\nmonitored because of the possibility of (un)intentional overdose or\nrecreational consumption, which can cause serious side effects or\neven death. Due to this risk, we decided to focus our research on the\ndevelopment of new, sensitive, selective, and easily customizable 3D\nprinted sensors for the determination of some commonly used\nantidepressants, analgesics, and illicit drugs.
Design of the production concept of the part "Rear wheelhouse outside left of the AU40x" at the AUDI Neckarsulm plant
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Málek, Ondřej (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is the design and description of the operation of an automated line producing the outer wheelhouse for the left side of the rear part of an Audi AU40x car. Furthermore, a virtual commissioning of 3D model of a cell with a welding station, which is the first part of the line. Siemens Process Simulate is used for this.
Electrochemical sensor with electrode modified by phthalocyanine derivative used for determination of sulfur compounds
Zlámalová, Magda ; Nesměrák, Karel (advisor) ; Navrátil, Tomáš (referee)
The diploma thesis presents the results of the studies of thin layer film composed of N,N',N'',N'''-tetramethyl-tetra-3,4-pyridinoporphyrazinocobalt. This film is deposited on the surface of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite. The modified electrode displayed electrocatalytic activity to oxidation of sulphide anions and cysteine. It has been studied the possibility of enhancement of stability of the immobilized film by the nafion. This electrode was used for the analytical determination of sulphide anions and cysteine. Keywords: highly oriented pyrolytic graphite, porphyrazines, hydrogen sulphide, cysteine, nafion, cyclic voltammetry, atomic force microscopy
Voltammetric Determination of Genotoxic Nitrobiphenyls
Horáková, Eva ; Vyskočil, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Navrátil, Tomáš (referee)
The presented diploma thesis is devoted to study of determination of 4-nitrobiphenyl (4-NBP) in model river water by DC voltammetry (DCV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at m-AgSAE (diploma thesis relates to bachelor thesis, in it DCV and DPV methods for determination of 4-NBP in deionized water were developed). Limit of determination (LOD) is 2·10-7 mol·l-1 by DCV and 4·10-7 mol·l-1 by DPV. The adsorptive stripping DPV (AdSDPV) technique was tested to archive lower LOD the AdSDPV, optimal conditions were not found. Electrochemical behavior of 2-nitrobiphenyl (2-NBP) at m-AgSAE was studied. Optimal conditions for its determination by both techniques DCV and DPV were found in methanol-0,01 mol·l-1 LiOH (1:9) and in this medium peak current dependence in 1·10-7 mol·l-1 to 1·10-4 mol·l-1 2-NBP (LOD ≈ 2·10-7 mol·l-1 by DCV and 1·10-7 mol·l-1 by DPV) concentration range was measured. Developed methods were successfully tested for determination of 2-NBP in drinking and river water samples. For both mediums obtained LODs were 2·10-7 mol·l-1 by DCV and 1·10-7 mol·l-1 by DPV. AdSDPV technique was unsuccessfully tested to achieve lower LOD. Optimal conditions for simultaneous determination of 4-NBP and 2-NBP by DPV technique at m-AgSAE were found: methanol-0,25 mol·l-1 acetate buffer (pH = 6,0) 3:7....
