Use of thermographic methods for diagnostics of concrete bridges
Janků, Michal ; Hobst, Leonard (referee) ; Matula, Radek (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This dissertation is focused on the research of the applicability of the thermographic method in the diagnosis of concrete bridges in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part characterizes selected defects of concrete structures and the principle of their detection. The practical part describes the measurements made in the laboratory on the test specimen and the field on the concrete bridge. Most attention is paid to infrared thermography, ground-penetrating radar and ultrasonic pulse-echo method. Based on the results of the dissertation, recommendations for the use of the thermographic test method in practice were developed.
Implementation and Visualization of Classic Genetic Algorithm Using Metropolis Algorithm
Matula, Radek ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis contains description of utilisation genetic and Metropolis algorithm to solution the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). Thesis describes process of development aplication POC and explains problems with adjusting parameters of algorithm.
Graphics Graph Representation
Matula, Radek ; Goldefus, Filip (referee) ; Masopust, Tomáš (advisor)
This Master Thesis deals with the drawing algorithms of graphs known from the mathematical theory. These algorithms deals with an appropriate distribution of the graph vertices in order to obtain the most clear and readable graphs for human readers. The main objective of this work was also to implement the drawing algorithm in the application that would allow to edit the graph. This work deals also with graphs representation in computers.
Application of new and progressive diagnostic methods on transport infrastructure objects - implementation process
Styk, Josef ; Březina, Ilja ; Matula, Radek ; Janků, Michal ; Grošek, Jiří
In order to maintain the proper condition of buildings, bridges, roads and other structures, their regular maintenance is essential. Often, if the distress is detected at the beginning of the disorder, the cost of removing it is far lower than after months of uncontrolled degradation. Locating a distress in time, often means detecting it before it is visible to the naked eye. A key means of detecting hidden distresses is non-destructive diagnostic methods (NDT). The purpose of the proposed methodology is to clarify the procedure for introducing new non-destructive diagnostic methods into practice in order to exploit their potential and to replace them or to suitably complement the existing methods. There are presented selected NDT methods and possibilities of their application on selected transport infrastructure objects, including the contribution of comparative measurements (round robin tests) and the creation of illustrative cases of the application of new NDT methods. The presented methodology was prepared within project TE01020168 - Centre for Effective and Sustainable Transport Infrastructure (CESTI), with financial support of the Czech Technology Agency within the Centre of Competence Program. This methodology is intended primarily for the state authorities, the transport infrastructure administrators and companies dealing with diagnostic surveys.

Evaluation of pavement condition by combination of FWD device and ground penetrating radar
Stryk, Josef ; Březina, Ilja ; Matula, Radek ; Grošek, Jiří ; Janků, Michal
The combination of two non-destructive diagnostic devices – the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) used to assess the bearing capacity of pavements and the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) used to determine the thickness of structural layers, to identify inhomogeneities, hidden defects and failures are increasingly being used in pavement diagnostics. The purpose of the methodology is to specify the procedure for performing measurements of combinations of these two devices, in the context of conducting a diagnostic survey of pavements. It draws attention to the benefits of processing data measured by both devices and their use in creating homogeneous sections, which serve as a basis for planning of maintenance, repair and reconstruction of roads. The presented methodology was prepared within project TE01020168 – Centre for Effective and Sustainable Transport Infrastructure (CESTI), with state support of the Czech Technology Agency within the Centre of Competence Program. This methodology is intended primarily for companies dealing with pavement diagnostic surveys

Flexibilisation of work
Matula, Radek ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee) ; Buriánek, Jiří (advisor)
This work discusses the subject of work flexibilisation, its different forms and its main impacts on the labour markets nature. From a theoretical point of view I try to examined technological and institutional changes, which facilitate development of atypical forms of labour contracts such as part- time, temporary and irregular work. In the following section of this work the main structural changes of economy, especially in their impact on labour, are tracked. Not only the subject of globalisation or transition to postindustrial economy are being paid atttention to in this work, but also institutional changes of post-communist countries, especially the Czech republic, and their institutional "path dependency" are presented here. Using data of ISSP project I have evaluated the current range of different forms of work flexibility. The main conclusion from this analysis refers to previous idea of low level of work flexibility in the Czech republic. This fact can be explained by prevailling concept of standard, full time work in this country and weak pressures leading to flexibilisation of labour market. Even if the range of work flexibility is negligable in the Czech republic, last section of the work is dedicated to evaluation of particular european model of work flexibility called flexicurity and its...
