What forms the image of nursery school in the eyes of parents

The choice of a nursery school is a first life step into the world. A daily schedule, age composition of educationalists, size of the facility or reachability from home are some of many criteria influencing parent's choice of the nursery school for their child. The diploma thesis "What forms the image of nursery school in the eyes of parents" is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes and characterizes individual elements of image in connection with the preschool institution during particular time period and shows first moments before entering nursery school. The practical part describes the realization of the research focused on nursery school choice criteria, parental expectations about the nursery schools and their view of the preschool education but also educationalists' opinion about the image. The chapters in the practical part are also focused on individual nursery school characteristics, detailed data analysis as well as data summary and evaluation of three distinct questionnaires. The thesis conclusion contains overall summary of all gained data and knowledge and final suggestions for creation of nursery school image.
Family Centre as a child` s preparation for attending the kindergarten

The main topic of the thesis is the activity of the family center and its activities. These activities help families with children in gradual adaptation and socialization into the collective. On the basis of these activities, the family center solves problems of modern families and helps in coordinating work and family life and thus helps children in entering the kindergarten. The first chapter is focusing on family and its characteristics. It also depicts the family politics specifically the possibilities of coordinating family and work life based upon the interests and needs of the families and support within the framework of services regarding the childcare. Second chapter focuses on the child, its development at two years of age and its needs. With regards to the methodological part of the thesis, it also focuses on adaptation and socialization into the collective and games as a spontanneous and natural child activity. The last chapter looks at the family center, its mission and goals. The methodological part of the thesis is realised as a case study in the specific family center. The research focuses on analysis of current services of the family center with regards to childcase and looks at how the center prepared a child for entering the kindergarten by using case studies as an example....
Concept of parenthood by university students

The bachelor thesis tries to map opinions, attitudes and values of current University students. The main purpose of this work is to find out how University students understand the topic of parenthood. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with research and knowledge about current family and it's transformations after the year 1989. Also covers how far is family accepted and supported by contemporary society; also examine how is family affected by economic changes, how the interpersonal relations changed and what value has the child for today's family. The next section of the theoretical part deals with the topic parenthood. Parenthood is debated from the point of view of the parents as well from point of view of the child. Parenthood is also viewed in a historical context, whereby change must always be taken into consideration. There is mentioned arrival of contraception and thanks to it also the arrival of possibility to separate sexual and reproductive life which have changed the relationship to parenthood significantly. Finally the last chapter focuses on the University students. What are they studying and the duration. Development of the Czech nursery school in 1980 - 2010 in Ostrava

The aim of this theses is to summarize the development of the Czech nursery school in the years 1980-2010 in Ostrava. The development is divided into chapters by decades. Each chapter describes the current educational legislation which has been related to nursery schools in the given period. The focus is on target and the concept of education in the nursery school in the given decade. Detail is devoted to important documents determined to the nursery school. It deals with the changes in the planning and evaluation of the educational work. The practical part is processing historical documents, such as school records, chronicles and inspection reports from nursery schools in Ostrava. The method of the questionnaire survey finds opinions nursery school's teachers on the transformation of the Czech nursery school. The questionnaire survey maps the views of parents to the current nursery school. In conclusion my thesis compares the Czech nursery school in each decade according to the monitored items. Finally, theses summarizes the development of the Czech nursery school in the years from 1980 to 2010.
Maturity to kindergarten entrance

The purpose of this study is to analyse the level of maturity of children older than two years in the context of their potential integration in the public preschool education system before they reach the age of three years. The first chapter discusses the opinion of the EU Council of the preschool education, its ambition to promote the institutional care in line with the equal opportunities for men and women policy, and the situation in EU member states as regards meeting the 2002 Barcelona goals. The second chapter describes the current legislative and institutional framework in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the applicable legislation, namely the Parental Subsidy Act as amended, and the existing framework of the institutional care in question. The key focus of the third chapter is on children and their needs. The third chapter elaborates on various factors influencing their development such as family situation, age and other individual particularities. The last chapter of the theoretical part is on maturity of a child younger than three years from the point of view of the developmental psychology. Relationships between children

The Thesis is focused on development of social relationships' need of a preschool-age child. The Thesis deals with theoretical information about relationships to a family and adults, siblings, children of the same age and differences among them. It deals with issues of relationships and opinions on a favourite child, inappropriate friendships, behaviour and a child without friends. It declares characteristic relationships resulting from games, when emotionality and bonds among children of the same age show spontaneously. These bonds arise in cooperative games. It deals with a group of children, positive and negative features of age-heterogeneous and age-homogeneous group and development of subgroups.In a final part it introduces preschool framework educational programme and the part "Child and the other" concentrates on mutual relationships among children. An action research in the practical part of the Thesis finds out what relationships among children prevail, what they like and dislike in a nursery school, how they accept, whether positive or negative relationships prevail, whether the negative ones are adopted by a children's group in the long term. TITLE: Přemysl Pitter's humanism and his contribution to the education of values at the primary school ABSTRACT: The aim of the thesis is to provide basic information about Přemysl Pitter's ideas, thoughts and activities. The theoretical part depicts mainly historical and biographical events to enable the understanding of the life values of Přemysl Pitter and the main context of his life. The practical part is based on a project that enables 5th grade elementary school students to penetrate into Pitter's life and to understand his life approach and values through their own experiences. We conclude with reflections from the project that students made sense of Přemysl Pitter's values and the historical events connected with his life, as well as Pitter's uniqueness and courage. On their own the pupils put the information together into a book, which is the output of their project. The aim of the thesis and the project has been accomplished. Children plays initiated by the teacher as a support of the General educational plan for preschool education

The main focus of this thesis is the application of teacher-initiated play as a method for education of children aged three to six, according to RVP for preschool education (2004). The theoretical section discusses different types of play, their development and the role of the teacher in every one. The play is studied based on the RVP (2004), section Child and psychology. This section also presents the education plan used in the kindergarten, where the research is conducted. The practical section presents the actual research. A special development program was designed that allowed the teachers to evaluate the influence of a teacher-initiated play on the development of speech and pronunciation in a group of children (aged three to four). Comparison of contemporary Czech and Spanish kindergarten

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of contemporary Czech and Spanish kindergarten, specifically their educational aims, curricula, and other particularities. Thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains methods used in the thesis and describes legislative of preschool education in Czech Republic and in the Kingdom of Spain. Furthermore, it is focused on the levels of education systems, the schedules of the day and the teaching stuff in kindergartens. Practical part contains direct comparison of curricular documents and particularities of Czech and Spanish kindergartens, which were found based on the questionnaire responses of Spanish kindergarten teachers. Finally, according to this comparison, the differences in the conception of a child are also presented. The thesis includes translation of the curricular document, according to which each autonomous community of Spain creates its own specific curriculum.
