Title: RoboRally Author: Jiří Královec Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: RNDr. Tomáš Holan, Ph.D., Department of Software and Computer Science Education Abstract: This work deals with the implementation of computer version of the board game RoboRally. The computer program which was created enables game for one or more players on one computer. Computer driven players can also be added into a game. Because of creating the artificial intelligence for driving computer players, two different engines (computer players) were created. In addition another program was created for searching adequate setting of the parameters of the engines. The program conducts the search using the technique called genetic algorithms. Using created tools, good enough settings were found to make created engines equivalent opponents for human players. Keywords: RoboRally, board game, artificial intelligence, genetic algorithms
The EACH Charter as an instrument of bolstering and protection of ethical aspects of paediatric hospitalization
Královec, Jiří ; Fošum, Jan (advisor) ; Svoboda, David (referee)
The Charter of rights of children in hospital (the EACH Charter) is an international document authored by the European Association for Children in Hospital (EACH) in the eighties of the twentieth century. The Charter can be perceived as a response to the fact that a child's stay in hospital - and paediatric hospital as an institution - is strongly influenced and formed by economical, technological and administrative aspects prevailing over the ethical ones. The Charter highlights specific situations where the health care profession - by neglecting children's needs and ignoring and/or tolerating avoidable suffering - becomes unethical. The aim of my thesis is to scrutinize the ethical appeal of the EACH Charter and to explore the Charter's ethical implications for contemporary paediatric practice in the Czech Republic.
Punch Press Simulator
Královec, Jiří ; Bureš, Tomáš (advisor) ; Obdržálek, David (referee)
This work tries to remedy the practical part of teaching development of software for real-time systems. It does so by creation of a platform on which students can practically learn aspects of development of software for real-time systems. % (feedback control, low level programming). The resulting platform consists of a plant, a visualizer and a controller. The plant represents an industrial machine, the visualizer displays the current state of the plant. The controller drives the plant. Students learn by developing a program for the controller. The resulting platform is realized as a hardware-in-the-loop simulation -- the controller's processor and devices are real hardware, and the plant is a simulated device. The platform has a low cost, low space requirements and it is not easily breakable. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Recovery of a submountainous meadow after cessation of fertilizing
Královec, J. ; Prach, Karel
After fertilisation had stopped in 1989, the average number of species per 1 m2 increased four times in the most fertilised plots. However, the number of species also increased in the unfertilised controls, which we attribute to the observed recovery of the whole surrounding landscape. Species typical of mesic grasslands predominantly contributed to this increase. Spontaneous recovery of previously overfertilised mesic grassland may thus work in central European landscapes if seed sources are available nearby. In such cases, no expensive restoration measures are needed to reduce soil nutrients and/or to sow seeds of target species.
Evaluation of the effectiveness of chosen strains of entomopathogenic fungi in individual application and in application of more strain mixture
KRÁLOVEC, Jan
This diploma theses focuses on comparison of natural and intentionally inducated supressiveness of environment induced by application of entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Isaria fumosorosea a Lecanicillium muscarium. In tests were evaluated the in vitro parameters as well as the effectiveness in vivo biotests on insect host larva Tenebrio molitor. The species of entomopatoghenic fungi were applied in suspensions, single strains and also in combination of two strains. In the in vitro conditions the possibilities of objective evaluation of the supresivity level were tested by using the CFU test (Colony Forming Units) on three different nutrient media (PDA, PDA + A , PDA + D), as one of the basic evaluation parameters. Further the germination tests were evaluated according to GI (Germination Index), determination of radial growth (comparison of median cultures) and interaction of strain suspensions on nutrient media PDA. In the in vivo biotests were watched the epizooties from suspensions of these entomopathogenic fungi on insect larva Tenebrio molitor in competitive test of strains according to FDI (Fungl development index) evaluation scala. Chosen larva covered by fully sporulating mycelium from epizootie were further evaluated in CFU test. The result were dominant strain/s on the larva from applied suspensions.
Thermodynamic and transport properties of ordinary water substance
Mareš, R. ; Šifner, Oldřich ; Královec, J.
A brief review of the internatonal temperature scales and its mutual conversion aids are presented. Shortly is discussed the development of new standards for the transport properties. The introduction of the new internationally adopted industrial formulation IAPWS-IF97 in the nuclear engineering practice is emphasised. Available sources of the formulation are given. Mentioned are new backward equations and TTSE method. The state in the field of the thermophysical properties of heavy water is summarized.
