Effects of Population Ageing on the Pension Systems in EU
Králová, Adéla ; Kalabiška, Roman (advisor) ; Palanský, Miroslav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis comprehensively analyses the demographic and economic challenges of selected European countries due to an ageing population. The study involves a demographic projection for the period up to the year 2150, highlighting the anticipated increase in the old-age dependency ratio, thereby imposing a growing burden on the working-age population. The significance of individual demographic variables on the old-age dependency ratio is anal- ysed in the panel data regression, indicating that life expectancy has the most significant impact. The demographic projection is further utilised to construct generational accounts to calculate generation-specific pension payments and ex- penditures. Generational accounts show that increasing payments from younger generations will not be enough to cover future pension expenditures, indicating the long-term unsustainability of the PAYG system.
Problems of adaptation of two years old children in kindergarten
KRÁLOVÁ, Adéla
The topic of this bachelor thesis will be the issue of adaptation of two-year-olds into a children's group in kindergarten, their inclusion is currently under discussion. The theoretical part will describe the psychosocial development of the child from birth to preschool age, with an emphasis on the specifics of the toddler period and will confront the possibility of satisfying the needs of children of this age group in the family and kindergarten / children group. The aim of the practical part of the thesis will be to find out what experience teachers have in relation to this age group, how they feel ready to work with these children and how they evaluate the inclusion and adaptation of these children. The investigation will be directed to kindergarten teachers, where these children are located.
Impact of new FLT3 inhibitors on daunorubicin accumulation in ABCB1-expressing leukemic cells
Králová, Adéla ; Čečková, Martina (advisor) ; Jirkovský, Eduard (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Adéla Králová Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Martina Čečková, Ph.D. Consultant: Mgr. Simona Suchá Title of Diploma thesis: Impact of new FLT3 inhibitors on daunorubicin accumulation in ABCB1-expressing leukemic cells Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) inhibitors represent a new generation of drugs in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Standard therapeutic regimen of AML is initiated with induction therapy consisting of cytarabine and anthracyclines. The disadvantage of this combination is emerging resistance often caused by the ABCB1-mediated efflux. Therefore, simultaneous inhibition of FLT3 and ABCB1, which is inhibited by FLT3 inhibitors used in clinical practice, appears to be a beneficial approach to therapy. However, their effectiveness is declining hence the effort to develop new FLT3-inhibiting molecules. The aim of our work was to evaluate whether our two promising new FLT3-inhibiting compounds would inhibit ABCB1 as well. Promyelocyte cells overexpressing ABCB1 (HL60-ABCB1) and parent HL60-par were used in this study alongside AML-derived cell lines (MOLM-13, THP-1, Kasumi-1). Employing accumulation studies on HL60-ABCB1, strong inhibitory effect towards ABCB1 was demonstrated...

Special educational intervention for individuals extremely talented
Králová, Adéla ; Felcmanová, Lenka (advisor) ; Hájková, Vanda (referee)
Key words: talent, education of extraordinarily talented children, patterns of education, teaching methods, organization forms of working This bachelor thesis surveys an special pedagogic approach to education of extraordinarily talented children, which includes entire modifications concerning bringing up and education these individuals , and compares it against common education systems of classic schools. Teoretic part includes important documents and legislation to this subject. Practical part of thesis is divided into two sections. Next is introduction of proved and effective teaching methods to educate extraordinarily talented individuals. That all comes from observing, questioning and results of two didactics tests.
Child adaptation in an international school
Králová, Adéla ; Burešová, Karolína (advisor) ; Kasíková, Hana (referee)
The goal of this work is to map an adaptation process, which children have to go through when coming to a foreign school in terms of different instructional language, curriculum and particularly sociocultural enviroment. The work is focused on a group of factors which influence the adaptation, e.g. child age, family role, community role, cultural differencies and support techniques used by schools to make the transition process for children smoother. The work also describes the cases when children have to face the adaptation process multiple times because of repeated moving to new countries and therefore repeated school changing. This trend is caused by migration and globalization and and is connected especially with international schools, which consider the successful adaptation process of its students as a key assumption for students' future success. The work also shows situation of bilingual children in terms of adaptation to a new school enviroment and specific problems of children who have never lived in their own culture or culture of their parents ("Third Culture Kid Theory"). One part of this work is a research held in American International School of Budapest which consists of 3 case studies of foreign students.
