Remote control of FPGA-based embedded system
Král, Jan ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor’s project looks into the development of a part of Digitizer embedded system. The design is focused on the usage of FPGA-based processor managing the remote control operations and on the achievement of the sufficient bitrate for transmitting data to the ethernet network. The project summarizes used solutions and evaluates their applicability in the developed system. Matching concepts of solved problems are designed properly; in most cases they associate positive properties of used solutions. The implementations of MicroBlaze processor system and chosen modules were performed into the target device and the desired characteristics were measured with successful outcome.
Engineering geological mapping in the Karlovy Vary and Pilsen regions
Chocholoušek, Matyáš ; Rout, Jiří (advisor) ; Král, Jan (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of engineering geological mapping on a scale of 1: 5,000 in the territory of the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions (formerly the area of the West Bohemian Region). The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, a search of professional literature was carried out describing the methodology of creating engineering geological maps, consisting of preparatory work, field work and the actual completion of the entire elaborations. It also discusses the gradual development of engineering geological survey and mapping in the cross-section of the 1940s to the 1990s. In the practical part, 23 final, accompanying and interim reports are processed together with map, laboratory and documentation outputs. Map outputs at a scale of 1:5 000 were digitized using the QGIS software with the georeferencing tool in raster graphics. An orthophoto map and a state map from the 1950s were used as a basis for the fitting points.
Identification of hereditary factors influencing the formation of a pancreatic carcinoma and other solid tumours
Král, Jan
Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has one of the worst prognoses out of all cancers worldwide. Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is the most common gynecological cancer. Genetic background of tumors is highly heterogenous and differs among populations. We have analyzed DNA of 226 PDAC patients and 527 EC patients using panel next- generation sequencing. Targeted genes were divided into main predisposition genes (11 for PDAC, 19 for EC) and other candidate genes. EC patients were categorized based on meeting the indication criteria for germline genetic testing. Two sets of population-matched controls were used (controls with negative cancer history, and general population controls). Germline pathogenic variants (PV) in main predisposition genes were identified in 18 (8.0%) PDAC patients. The most mutated gene was BRCA2 (50% of carriers). PDAC risk was significantly elevated in carriers of PV in BRCA1 (OR = 10.4, p = 0.04), BRCA2 (OR = 6.4, p = 0.0009), and CHEK2 (OR = 17.5, p = 0.003). Germline mutations in genes participating in homologous recombination processes were associated with improved overall survival of patients. Among EC patients there were 60 (11.4%) carriers of PV in main predisposition genes. Carriers of PV in Lynch syndrome (LS) genes had markedly elevated risk of developing EC (OR = 22.4, p...

Digital Predistorters with Low-Complexity Adaptation
Král, Jan ; Springer, Andreas (referee) ; Roblin, Patrick (referee) ; Götthans, Tomáš (advisor)
Moderní komunikační systémy často vyžadují digitální předzkreslovače (DPD), jednotky pokročilého zpracování signálu, ke splnění požadavků na linearitu a účinnost vysílačů. Nicméně DPD výrazně zvyšují hardwarovou a výpočetní složitost vysílačů, což vede ke zvýšení spotřeby a nákladů. Z toho důvodu představujeme metody k dosažení nižší hardwarové a výpočetní složitosti adaptace DPD. Metoda zpětnovazebních vzorků s reálnou hodnotou vyžaduje pouze jeden ze dvou původně potřebných zpětnovazebních analogově-digitálních převodníků (ADC), což vede ke snížení složitosti vysílače a spotřeby energie. Hardwarovou a výpočetní složitost lze více snížit, pokud je zpětnovazební signál pro adaptaci DPD podvzorkován a jsou vybrány pouze vhodné vzorky. Navrhované techniky vybírají vzorky dle histogramu a mohou snížit potřebný počet vzorků zpětné vazby na několik desítek. Provedené analýzy ukazují přibližně 400násobné snížení výpočetní náročnosti dosažené výběrem vzorků a 40násobné snížení spotřeby energie díky podvzorkování zpětné vazby DPD. Metody zpětné vazby s reálnými hodnotami, její podvzorkování a výběr vzorků tvoří základ navrhované adaptace DPD využívající ADC s detekcí jedné úrovně, který je realizován jednoduchým komparátorem. Nahrazení běžných zpětnovazebních ADC jednoduchým komparátorem výrazně snižuje složitost návrhu a spotřebu energie. Všechny navržené a popsané techniky jsou doprovozeny simulacemi, obvykle i měřením na reálném hardwaru a porovnány s dostupnými metodami. Závěrečný rozbor řeší použitelnost a omezení jednotlivých metod. Ukazuje se, že snížení složitosti nemusí být univerzálně dosažitelné a je třeba pečlivě posoudit všechna specifika daného návrhu.
Implementation of offensive standard situations in football at various performance levels
Král, Jan ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Krejča, Filip (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of offensive standard situations in football. Specifically in the competitions: division group B, third league group A and the highest competition, ie the first league. The analysis of the work is based on watching football matches from the record. The diploma thesis consists of two main sections, namely the theoretical and research section. The theoretical section is focused on theoretical concepts such as game systems, game combinations, game activities and standard situations. The research section contains the following research situations: how teams most often play offensive standard situations, from which place most offensive standard situations take place, which player most often plays offensive standard situations, from which area players most often end offensive standard situations, which player most often ends offensive standard situations, ending offensive standard situations on goal or out of goal in selected Czech football competitions, which I mentioned above. The information from the diploma thesis can be a support for coaches in the analysis of offensive standard situations of individual teams, and coaches will then be able to appropriately choose tactics in defending offensive standard situations. Keywords football, standard...
Groundwater aggression and the impact of geological environment
Štěpán, Jiří ; Král, Jan (advisor) ; Malát, Richard (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with groundwater aggressiveness on two sheets of detailed engineering geology maps of Prague 1:5000. The aim of this thesis is an effort to verify how much geological environment of inner Prague participates in chemical composition of groundwater. The chemical analysis were evaluated using limit values stated in valid norm ČSN EN 206 Concrete - Specification, performance, production and conformity. The chemical analysis that analyzed aggressive components (SO4 2- , CO2 a pH) and total dissolved solids discovered that the geological environment affect the chemical composition of groundwater very strongly. Groundwater in Ordovician shale commonly contains high amount of dissolved solids with a lot of sulphate. In geological environment containing quartzite, greywacke, quartz and greywacke sandstone the groundwater has small amount of dissolved solids and no aggressive component is dominant as well as too high compared to the shale.
