Occupational Stress

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. Career management

The thesis deals with the career management from the perspective of the organization. The theoretical part concerns the definition and explication of the terminology (basic terms), approaches and methods in the process of the career management. The separate chapter is dedicated to the current issue of talent management and also to the interpretation of the research of career counseling in the workplace, which compares the approaches of employers to the career management of their employees in 25 states of the European Union. The incorporation of the domain of career management to the set of other HR activities in the organization makes also part of this thesis. The practical part of thesis describes the concrete example of work with prospective employees of the organization, i.e. the presentation of implementation of the development program for talented and key employees. The conclusion of the thesis comprises the evaluation of the effectiveness of the program, including the recommendations for its potential continuation in the future.
Systems of Personnel Management in different Types of Organizations

This Master Thesis is concerned with the general approach towards systems of human resources management in organizations. In this approach it strives to comprehend not only its theoretical matter, but also to give a thorough description of its practical function. This Thesis copes on a tangible level with four selected HR activities, which are measured from the perspective of their usage in different organizations. Another level of the Thesis is a change of approach towards some HR activities which was caused by the arrival of economic crisis on the Czech market during the years 2008-2010. All levels are in this Thesis defined first from the theoretical point of view and consecutively confronted by the real practice gained from its own inquiry. This thesis purveys therefore theoretical groundwork of personnel management, but also a current analysis of the whole situation in HR which was changed due to the economical crisis. It centrally offers statements of many HR employees, who are sharing their experience from the environment of their own organizations.
Work Life Balance

This Master's Thesis focuses on topic of harmonization of work and personal life, as the essential condition for work and life satisfaction of employees. The attention is paid to the facts and factors that influence the perception of harmonization of these two major spheres of influence. Examples include recent changes in paid work in the form of increased demands on work performance, flexibility and resistance to stress. These changes are mainly caused by the development of modern information technologies that make it difficult to determine fixed boundaries between work and leisure, but they also represent an opportunity for new ways of organizing working hours. In this respect, there are also mentioned possible ways of arranging work in the form of alternative work loads, which may become a useful tool for reconciling work and family life for parents on maternity or parental leave, who are most concerned with the harmonization of professional and personal life, as well as the whole family life. Education and Professional Development of Employees in a Control of Career

The thesis analyzes the issue of training and development of employees in career management, which is an integral part of effective personnel management. The text focuses on a career orientation in terms of individual's personality, attention is paid to career personality type, career movement and individual's career development. An important and often essential aspect of every career is a continuous education and human development, which this thesis deal with in detail. This thesis describes educational and development activities, trends in a company education, career management scheme, its context and planning of employees training. A part of this thesis is empirical research connecting topics such as career, employees education and career development.
The Influence of the Internet on Education

This work concentrates on the changes that the Internet has caused in education since its invention to the present day and predicts possible future development of the Internet use in education. It focuses on the learning needs of people in the information society and the role of adult educators in bridging the digital divide. The work further deals with changes in several cognitive functions, which are directly related to education. Special attention is given to a new theory of networked learning, connectivism, and specific ways of learning on the internet. Personal learning environments, massive open online courses, open educational resources and the concept of school 2.0 are critically viewed. The well-known web applications and tools suitable for use in teaching are briefly introduced.
Recruitment methods

This bachelor thesis deals with recruitment which is a part of human resource management and has an impact on quality of workers in an organization. The thesis focuses on three main areas, namely the recruitment process, methods of external recruitment and personnel marketing. Each area is theoretically introduced by summarizing findings in literature and research articles and in addition to the theoretical framework results of my qualitative survey dealing with the recruitment in seven large organizations are presented for comparison. Emphasis is put on the question of importance of the internet as a recruitment method particularly on career websites, job boards and social networks, which are mostly a neglected topic in literature. Further attention is paid to personnel marketing tools and its target groups.
Trends in working conditions

3 The bachelor thesis Trends in working conditions is focused on current tendencies in the area of working conditions, especially on the trend of democratization in organizations. The thesis analyzes this phenomenon, because it has not been described in association with working conditions enough. The main goal is to ascertain the reasons of growth of this phenomenon, its essence and the way it is realized. The reasons and the context of the formation and the growth are desribed according to surveys in a field of working satisfaction and can be also found in theories of working motivation. The essence is explained according to the authorities in this field. The emphasis is on the relationship between democratization in organizations and the working conditions. Every aspect of working conditions is described in detail, especially focused on the trends of democratization. The analysis is based on the examples of realization in real organizations. These examples can be found in whole thesis, related to the currently discussed topics. In general, the thesis strives for widening of existing knowledge with complex analysis of relationship between democratization in organizations and the working conditions. 1 Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to analyse a situation in the field of Interim Management in the Czech Republic and to compare and contrast this with the Global Market. Interim Management is a temporary provision of management skills. The project involves comparing foreign literature and studies about interim management to the experience of the people working in the field of Interim Management in the Czech Republic. This thesis describes the moment, when Interim Management was recognised as a useful addition to the human resources in companies. It also provides information about the benefits, interim management can offer. The project involves analysis of a Czech law regarding to the Interim Management topic. This thesis also describes the conditions required to make a good interim manager. This will allow a better orientation within the Czech Interim Management situation and may direct future research on Interim Management in the Czech Republic. 4 Abstract Employee appraisal is one of the human resource management activities, meant to be effective means of control, regulation, and employee motivation. Appraisal of security forces officers is linked to differences between state service, and employment. This bachelor's thesis presents compact overview of appraisal of Czech police officers and Czech fire brigade officers. By comparison of appraisal systems these two law-enforcement agencies, there can be determined fundamental similarities and differences.
