Development of endurance capacity of the applicants for the physical education study program at the College of Education at the Charles University

TITLE: The Development of endurance capacity of the applicants for the physical education study program at the College of Education at the Charles University SUMMARY: The aim of my thesis is to summarize the development of endurance capacity of all applicants for the physical education program at the College of Education at the Charles University from 1991 to 2009. The endurance capacity testing took place on a track and consisted of running the 800 m for women and 1500 m for men respectively during the entrance examination for the physical education program. Using statistical methods (arithmetic average, standard deviation, variation coefficient, modus and median) I will compare each year's performances, differences in performances by applicants' study concentration, and differences among men's and women's performances. Besides examining the endurance capacity of the applicants I will also examine the number of applicants each year. Premature Termination of Swimmers' Race Activity in Various Training Phases

The paper deals with career termination of competitive swimmers in relation to the maximum performance age. The theoretical part analyses the concepts related to the above mentioned topic and gives information about mutual implication of this sport and physical education in schools. The practical part further analyses the published data on premature career termination of competitive swimmers. Investigation is made to find out on which stage of sport practice and why the swimmers terminate their competitive activity. Data concerning further sport activities later in life are also evaluated. An attempt is made to find a relevant circumstance bound to the career termination. The usage of training potential of former competitive swimmers is proposed.

The open-air ice skating at basic school' s PT(pfysical training)

Hlavním cílem je zjistit, zda v regionu Praha - západ existuje dostatečné množství přírodních ledových ploch, které umožňují výuku bruslení, a zda školy, které se nachází v jejich blízkosti, mají o výuku bruslení zájem. Dalším cílem je zjistit, jak se výuka bruslení na přírodních ledových plochách liší od výuky bruslení na umělém ledu, a ověřit poznatky v praxi. Posledním z cílů je zjistit, zda učitelé znají pravidla první pomoci a zda ji jsou vůbec schopni v krizových situacích poskytnout.

History and Present Status of Fire Sport in the Czech Republic and Czechoslevakia

The aim of this study was to summarize and describe historical and actual affairs in the field of Fire Sport in the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia. The first chapters specify the definition of Fire Sport and briefly introduce Fire Sport events. Furthermore, causes of the origin as well as the history of Fire Sport in the world have been investigated. The main part of this study deals with the evolution of Fire Sport, its origins, particular development stages and the beginnings of the traditional Fire Sport in the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia.

Hiking Activities for Children of a Young School Age

Dnešní doba nabízí nepřeberné množství služeb, které mají za cíl spokojeného klienta. Volný čas lze trávit tolika způsoby, kolik je jen oblastí lidského zájmu. V mnoha případech se z člověka stává holý konzument, který si neodnáší žádné prožitky. Aktivity v přírodě jsou jednou z alternativ využití volného času. Mezi aktivity v přírodě patří turistika, sporty v přírodě a jiné aktivity, které jsou spjaty s uvědomělým a šetrným využíváním přírodního prostředí. Turistika je cesta, na které se člověk navrací ke své původní hlubší propojenosti s přírodou, a která ho učí nepřestávat vnímat. Turistika je určitý řád hodnot a pocit svobody. Dětská bytost se utváří na základě mnoha podnětů. To co do dítěte vložíme, v něm zůstává celý život. Turistika dětí je jednou z možností výchovy a formování dětské osobnosti a příležitostí, jak vytvořit pro dítě základní představu podoby kvalitně prožitého času. Práce má za cíl podat čtenáři základní přehled o turistice dětí v České republice. Seznamuje čtenáře stručně s historií turistiky na našem území. Přináší současný pohled na organizovanou a neorganizovanou podobu turistiky a rozčleňuje turistiku na jednotlivá turistická odvětví, která rozvádí zpravidla s ohledem na dětského turistu.
