Czech prison system and its ability to meet the public interest

Diploma thesis "The Czech prison system and its ability to meet the public interest" deals with the public interest in the selected area from the perspective of key stakeholders, election programmes, policy statements of governments and (changes in) legislation between 2000-2013. For determination of what is the public interest has been used as a tool a scheme of four dimensions of definition of public interest. First, there is the public interest as defined by experts, which is determined on the basis of content analysis of the journal the České vězeňství published by Prison Service of the Czech Republic. Second, the public interest determined by the preferences of citizens, which are collected from content analysis of articles from Newton Media Search and from reproduced findings of public opinion polls. To analyze the third dimension of public interests, which are generated by functional needs of the community, content analysis of election programmes of the parliamentary parties of the period is used as well as policy statements of the government and also the study of changes in legislation. Interaction and communication within the medical team

This bachelor thesis "Interaction and communication within a medical team" examinates work relations of doctors and nurses, forms and quality of their communication and their overall satisfaction with these processes. Attention is paid not only to the nurse - doctor relationship, but also to communication and interaction among members of individual teams. This thesis has two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part describes forms of communication and their characteristics. Also it talks about social interactions in a workplace and a medical team in itself. The empirical part summarises information from a survey, that took place in several divisions at Fakultni nemocnice Motol and Masarykova nemocnice in Usti nad Labem. Both doctors and nurses from selected units participated in this anonymous questionnaire. The closing of the thesis evaluates the results of a personal research and compares them with studies realized before.

A study of HILIC mechanism on selected UHPLC stationary phases

PharmDr. Lucie Nováková, Ph.D. Title of Diploma thesis: A study of HILIC mechanism on selected UHPLC stationary phases This diploma thesis deals with a study of HILIC mechanism of Ascentis HILIC Express (2.1 x 100 mm, 2.7 µm, Sigma-Aldrich), ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC (2.1 x 100 mm, 1.7 µm, Waters) and ACQUITY UPLC BEH AMIDE (2.1 x 100 mm, 1.7 µm, Waters) stationary phases. Totally 15 analytes had been selected for testing of the characteristics of the stationary phases. The analytes were divided into groups of acidic, basic and neutral substances. The measurement was performed on UHPLC instrument by Waters with detection by a PDA detector at the wave-length of 254 nm. Isocratic elution was used for the measurement. The flow was set to 0.4 ml/min, injection volume was 1-2 µl. Mobile phase was composed of ultrapure water or buffer and acetonitrile. For an easier evaluation, tables and charts were constructed from measured data. Lin-lin, log-lin and log-log plots were constucted. Analysis of corporate cultures of Bata, Google and Toyota and comparison to attitudes of employees in CR in year 2011

Bachelor thesis "An Analysis of Corporate Cultures Bata, Google and Toyota and Comparison of Attitudes of Employees in CR in 2011" briefly discusses the corporate culture in general- possible definitions, formation and change. Closer is discussed Schein's concept of corporate culture, especially his three level model. The study is also focused on corporate culture of Bata, Google and Toyota corporations, which was analyzed based on the available literature. A comparison of the concept of corporate culture of selected companies emerged categories of attributes of corporate culture shared by all three companies. These categories of attributes became the subject of empirical survey that was aimed at determining the importance of different attributes and their impact on overall satisfaction of employees in the Czech Republic. The results of survey are a typology of employees and evaluation of attributes of employees from various companies in the Czech Republic in terms of their importance and in terms of how employees are satisfied with them. The influence of family background on the choice of secondary school

This Bachelor Thesis follows up the effect of family background on secondary school choice for students. The theoretical part describes family and its relationships, education, adolescence and circumstances affecting the secondary school choice. Practical part is based on quantitative and qualitative elements. The first part analyses non-standardized questionnaire which is supplemented by interviews with two first grade students from the different kinds of secondary schools in the second part. The aim of the research was to analyse what kind of family factors influence students when choosing their secondary school.

Project management of services company

The goal of this thesis was first to conduct a market research in the small business area in the South-Bohemian region, to identify the situation there during the monitored period, the potential risks that influence economic activities of traders the most and to suggest alternative ways of optimizing their solutions, particularly in the sense of minimizing subjective hazards and to find an acceptable solution in case of a risk for a given subject. Furthermore to suggest project management activities to ensure services for customers and at the same time to create conditions for continuity and prosperity of business in a specific company. Based on gained information and with consideration of extents and types of risk, the probabilities of their threats, the estimates of their impacts and the biggest causes of their origin were determined using the financial analysis.

The goal of this thesis was to survey the area of retail business in the South Bohemian Region. To identify possible risks which affect the businessmen{\crq}s economical activities the most. To suggest the best ways how to prevent them or to minimize them primarily focused on subjective risks and to find the best solutions for a situation where the risks already affect a subject. Based on gained information, types and significances of risks there were determined probabilities of their threats, assessments of their impacts and the biggest causes of their origins.
