Cardiac ischemic tolerance of hypertensive rats
Jelínek, Jan ; Neckář, Jan (advisor) ; Sotáková, Dita (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize current knowledge about the influence of the ischemic- reperfusion injury at the myocard of hypertensive subjects. First part of this thesis is focused on the description of ischemia, reperfusion and changes in the myocardial metabolism during these processes. These changes in the myocardial metabolism are for example necrosis or apoptosis of the myocardial cells. The second part describes the currently known cardioprotective phenomena. This part also compares their effects. The signalization of preconditioning, the second window of preconditioning and the postconditioning are described here in more details. Third part is focused on the description of the risk factors connected to the ICHS and hypertension. It describes also classes of hypertension, clinical and experimental methods of hypertension treatment, description of the laboratory breeds of hypertensive rats. In the last part of this thesis I describe the influence of hypertension on the I-R injury in current laboratory studies. In the most studies spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) were used. As a normotensive controls Wistar-Kyoto rats were mostly used. For some other experiments transgenic genetic rats (TGR) were used. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Accumulated physical activity support at German youth
Jelínek, Jan ; Hendl, Jan (advisor) ; Štědroň, Bohumír (referee)
Title: Accumulated physical activity support at German youth Objectives: The main goal of this task is a closer look at the content of the accumulated physical activity support applicated on German youth and its comparison with the current status of it in the Czech republic. Methods: In this work I provide a content analysis of publications, foreign tasks, specific studies, articles and documents pointed at accumulated physical activity support issue that I additionally deal with in the comparative analysis of the Czech republic and Germany. Results: There is a clear outcome of the comparison made that both countries are fighting with the significant and constantly increasing number of teenagers that live in a sedentary and unhealthy way. In both countries there are numerous quality intervention programmes pointed at youth but they are underestimated from the managerial perspective in the Czech republic. Just in Germany we can find an inspiration and right direction in the area of conception, organization and the overall provision of successful intervention programmes. A physical education and sport manager shoud be the one who controls skills needed for mentioned programmes realization and he should gain these skills during his university (pregraduate) specialization that is closely related to...
Effect of key factors on dynamics of a snow cover evolution in Šumava Mts. conditions
Fliegl, Ondřej ; Kocum, Jan (advisor) ; Jelínek, Jan (referee)
Master thesis is concerned with the subject of a snow cover dynamics (focused on snow melting) and of the detailed analysis of each physical-geographic factors effect on its character. Knowledges published in the domestic and foreign scientific literature are confronted with the data acquired within a number of expeditionary snow monitoring campaignes carried out during winter periods 2011/2012 a 2012/2013 in headwaters of rivers of Šumava (Šumava Mts., southwestern Czechia). Mobile field survey was done in a number of time horizons within the broadly conceived research in the upper Otava River basin concentrated on the assessment of the retention potential in headstream areas.
Road side verges in agricultural landscape and their biodiversity - epigeic beetles
JELÍNEK, Jan
The species diversity, aktivity, equitability and human impact were studied using epigeic beetle communities on transect whest field field trip and alfaalfa field. The materiál was collected by pitfall traps during the period Juni-September 20016 in cadastr of the town Písek in the Southern Bohemia. 38 species and 567 individuals were kept together. Activita of beetles differs in studied plots. The highest aktivity was found on fields and the lowest in field trip. Index of human impact was very similar on studied plots wheat 2,5, field trip 12, rape 0). I tis clear that alll studied are strongly impacted by human acticity. The frequency of relic species were (Dragons and Ground beetles) 20% only on all studied plots 80,00%. The adaptible species absent on field cultures and was found on field trip only. 6 species of adaptible (stenotopic) species were found on field trip only, but their aktivity were very low. The equitability of communities in filed plots was very low (2,331 2,474). The highest equitabilty was found on field trip (3,04). The ordination of commuties indicate the close similarity. The species diversaity is very similar in all communities on studied plots. We recommend the change of sowing management and the lower agrotechnic interference in studied locality. We recommend to enhance the plots of biocorridors and biocenters. The stuided field trip plays a role for the increse of the biodiversity of epigeic beetles, which are important for the reduction of pest organisms in agricultural landscape.
Exercises and problems in linear algebra ane geometry
JELÍNEK, Jan
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compile a collection of problems from linear algebra and geometry. The collection is intended to be used as a teaching tool at the high school and university. Some tasks are resolved in the collection. Sample images created in a suitable dynamical geometry program (GeoGebra) are used when entering and describing the solution.
Suitable methods of data prepration for mutistream compression
Jelínek, Jan ; Žemlička, Michal (advisor) ; Falt, Zbyněk (referee)
This work focuses on compression algorithm called multistream compression. We have tried to improve this algorithm to be competitive with other commonly used compression algorithms. We have also tried to combine it with well-known transformations like BWT or MTF to efficiently handle text files. Another part of the research was compose characters into bigger parts and transform the result by multistream compression. We have tried blocks of constant length like bigrams and blocks of variable length like syllables or words. Last experiments was with small changes of MSC algorithm and compare them with the original algorithm.
Comparative analysis of runoff in experimental basins of upper Otava River
Fialová, Petra ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Jelínek, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis summarizes knowledge and provides new analyses about the runoff regime of three experimental streams in headstream area Otava River. The main focus is concentrated on comparison between the experimental basins in physical-geographic conditions, climate environment and peak flow. This thesis is based on data acquired during more than four years field survey which was realized in this area by the Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology.
Determinants of housing prices in Central and Eastern Europe
Jelínek, Jan ; Hlaváček, Michal (advisor) ; Jakubík, Petr (referee)
Determinants of Housing Prices in Central and Eastern Europe Abstract House price developments have a large impact on the macroeconomic stability, an example of which is the recent global crisis, partially triggered by a house price boom and bust. This work attempts to explain the behavior of house prices in ten Central- and Eastern- European countries over the last decade using three main methods: graphical comparison of the characteristics of the housing markets, panel data analysis, and time series anal- ysis. First, a cross-country comparison shows that owner occupation rate or migration indeed play a role while other factors apparently do not. Second, the results of using the Pooled Mean Group estimator on a panel of all countries confirm that real income and unemployment are in general significant determinants of house prices. In the third part of the empirical analysis, VAR or VEC models are used on several individual countries to evaluate the role of national capitals as price leaders for the rest of the country. These models are finally employed again to test for significance of other fundamentals in several countries. The diversity of results leads to the conclusion that house price determinants differ widely across the analyzed countries, although this may be partially attributable to the unavoidable...
Identification of Terpenoid Resins in Artworks by Gas Chromatography
Jelínek, Jan ; Beneš, Pavel (referee) ; Hrdličková Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor)
Terpenoic varnishes are used in artworks since 11th century. Their task is to protect the artworks against the adverse effects of the environment and frequently they complete the artistic page. Although synthetic varnishes are currently widely used, especially in the case of modern art, the use of natural materials is still widespread and not only in the restoration of historical paintings and polychromy. In order to prepare terpenoic varnishes, rich supply of natural resins is used (damare, mastic, copals, colophony etc.). These resins differ in their composition and therefore they have various physical properties such as fragility, solubility, and not least the various darkening of varnish. For these reasons, it is necessary to know their composition, in order to be safely removed during restoration and subsequently replaced by a varnish of the same material composition. Gas chromatography is the most widely used analytical method for determination of natural resins, using a number of derivatizing reagents. The task of this thesis was to find the best separation conditions for the identification of resins by gas chromatography combined with flame ionization detector (GC-FID).
