Residential Housing: Zirovnice Apartment Block
Houška, Petr ; Rychnovský, Václav (referee) ; Králová, Zuzana (advisor)
The diploma thesis is a project of an apartment block with a total number of 10 apartments. The building is located in the cadastral areas of Žirovnice 797154 on the numbers of parcels 653/1, 634/1, 634/2. The building is a five-storey building with four floors above the ground and one underground floor. Floors are designed as a brick system with the contact insulation. Underground floor consists of a reinforced concrete wall monolith which is based on the footings. Horizontal structures are made up of prefabricated ceramic system Miako and a reinforced concrete monolithic slab. The roof is flat and single-layer. The floors are connected by monolithic reinforced concrete staircase and an elevator which is located in the shaft.
Deep-learning architectures for analysing population neural data
Houška, Petr ; Antolík, Ján (advisor) ; Pilát, Martin (referee)
Accurate models of visual system are key for understanding how our brains process visual information. In recent years, deep neural networks (DNN) have been rapidly gaining traction in this domain. However, only few studies attempted to incorporate known anatomical properties of visual system into standard DNN architectures adapted from the general machine learning field, to improve their interpretability and performance on visual data. In this thesis, we optimize a recent biologically inspired deep learning architecture designed for analysis of population data recorded from mammalian primary visual cortex when presented with natural images as stimuli. We reimplement this prior modeling in existing neuroscience focused deep learning framework NDN3 and assess it in terms of stability and sensitivity to hyperparameters and architecture fine-tuning. We proceed to extend the model with components of various DNN models, analysing novel combinations and techniques from classical computer vision deep learning, comparing their effectiveness against the bio-inspired components. We were able to identify modifications that greatly increase the stability of the model while securing moderate improvement in overall performance. Furthermore, we document the importance of small hyperparameters adjustments versus...
Kompilace generátorů dynamického jazyka PHP do MSIL
Houška, Petr ; Míšek, Jakub (advisor) ; Ježek, Pavel (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement the support for generators within the Peachpie framework, a PHP to CIL compiler. Generators are the simplest form of methods that resume from the same state in which they returned earlier when called repeatedly. The reference PHP interpreter Zend engine supports generators natively. Due to that fact that generators in PHP support a number of features that are not common in other languages. CIL, on the other hand, does not have a native support for generators. Therefore, languages built on top of CIL (e.g. C#, F#) have to implement them by other means, such as by rewriting the original generator methods into state machines. In this thesis, we will design and implement the support for generators through semantic tree transformations. All this is handled with the intention of keeping the maximum possible compatibility with reference PHP generators. We will also make a comparison to generators in C#, whose main implementation also uses CIL as a backend. 1

Economy of Healthcare: Grossman's Model of Demand for Healthcare
Houska, Petr ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Votava, Libor (referee)
Grossman's model of demand for healthcare has been developed by separating health capital from theory of human capital. According to this model, everybody is an active producer of his or her own health (capital) using purchased healthcare and his/her own time as inputs. People with higher income demand greater amount of health capital to reduce number of sick days. Therefore they invest in healthcare more. On the contrary, people with higher education need to invest less in healthcare, because they are more effective producers of health capital. Data obtained from CZSO (Czech Statistic Office) confirm the validity of Grossman conclusions also in the Czech Republic, although it is a country with compulsory part of investments into health capital - health insurance. People with higher income do try to minimize the outage in income in such a way, that they spend less time on sick leave as people with lower income.

The Analysis of the Utilization of Funds from the European Union in the Chrudim Microregion
Dvořáková, Eva ; Petrů, Zdenka (advisor) ; Houška, Petr (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on questions of a development of microregions with the aid of the funds of the EU. Particularly this work is aimed to the Chrudim Microregion. The first chapter deals with the regional policy of the European Union, its development and its main goals in phase 2000 -- 2006 and in current phase 2007 -- 2013. Then particular Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund are presented. The first part contains also the information about Regional Operational Programme NUTS II Northeast, because it is often used by the Chrudim Microregion. The next two chapters are practical, the first is focused on the socio-economic analysis of the microregion in view and its potential of a development in the tourism industry. The last part contain particular examples of project, that were (of are going to be) realized in the Chrudim Microregion. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to show, how the money from the EU can help to develop a microregion and to raise its tourist attractiveness.
