This thesis deals with the issue of gifted pre-school children. The aim of this work is to identify and describe the socio-emotional characteristics of gifted preschoolers. The theoretical part focuses on general definitions of giftedness and talent, general characteristics of gifted preschoolers and their identifying. It also focuses on the characteristics reported in the literature with a particular emphasis on socio-emotional area. In the empirical part, which uses qualitative methodology, six preschoolers, who were labeled as gifted by their teachers were observed. The main methods included naturalistic observation and structured interviews with teachers of gifted children. Based on my observation I found that some socio-emotional symptoms occured more widely in the observed gifted children. Firstly almost all the observed children held the positions of group leader. They often communicated with authorities more often confidently and without shyness. Most of them had a strong need to inform the teacher about something or to boast about something. Škvařil, Václav ; High, Radka (advisor) ; Pavelková, Isabella (referee)
This Bachelor thesis focuses on time perspective in grammar school students and the possibilities of its diagnostics. The text is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The emphasis is given on the practical part. The theoretical part describes basic psychological findings about a time factor with the emphasis on its regulatory function. Different theories and approaches, that occured throughout history, are presented. The greatest attention is given to the Nuttin's personality- motivational concept of time perspective, Pavelková's theory of the perspective orientation, Zimbardo's time perspective theory and description of the diagnostic methods. The empirical part presents the research that was realized in the period from May to June 2015 in grammar school students of three classes in Prague. The major objective of this study was to map the time perspective of these students and to compare the diagnostic methods. As a main instrument was used the Motivational Induction Method, which finds out information about objects of time perspective and their position in time. To collect data we also used Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (ZTPI), The Perspective Orientation Questionnaire and The Inventory of Motivational Categories. The Inventory of Motivational Categories was applied in order...
Interpretative phenomenological analysis of the experience of trafficked people
Bittnerová, Soňa ; Pavlas Martanová, Veronika (advisor) ; High, Radka (referee)
This thesis focuses on the topic of human trafficking and exploitation from the perspective of the trafficked persons themselves. Using the interpretative phenomenological analysis seeks to determine the lived experience of these people. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with 4 respondents who are clients of the organization La Strada ČR. These interviews were recorded and they were subsequently analyzed according to IPA. Trafficking and exploitation had a significant impact on the lives and experiences of these people. Interpersonal relationships are affected the most, especially the ability to establish contacts with strangers. Also relationships with families are disturbed because of fear of rejection and misunderstanding of what you went through. People live in fear for their safety and future. Interpersonal relationships are on the other side one of the elements helping to manage the traumatic event and their absence deepens negative experiences. KEY WORDS Trafficking in human beings and exploitation, interpretative phenomenological analysis, experience of trafficked people, psychological trauma
