The assortment of OTC drugs and dietary supplements is still being spread in the Czech Republic. It carries benefits and risks. Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate current opinions, attitudes and knowledge of patients from the Czech Republic about OTC drugs. Methods: The data were collected at the hospital in Svitavy and at the Department of occupational medicine in Svitavy. The interviews were performed in April and July 2013. The data were analysed and described by means of the frequency analysis in Microsoft Excel 2007. Results: The answers were obtained from 169 respondents (44,0 % women and 56,0 % men). The average age of the patients was 50 years. 54,0 % of the patients preferred self-medication before the visit of the doctor. 85,0 % of the patients used at least one OTC drug in the last year. 77,0 % of the patients agreed with the statement that the self-medication could have some risks. Aim of study: The main aim of this study is the evaluation of hospital drug formulary in faculty hospital in Motol and revise selected groups of drugs. Methods: The information about the consumption of drugs and the hospital drug formulary was taken in the Motol's hospital pharmacy. Using Microsoft Excel the retrospective evaluation of drug consumption was taken for a period of time from July 2011 till December 2011. The method DU 90% was used to define the quantitative evaluation. For model revise groups of drugs was assessed effectiveness in accordance with evidence-based medicine, costs, compliance, safety and consumption of drugs. Results: The hospital drug formulary amounted to 1 673 of medicinal products. In total 2160 of medicinal products was taken from the pharmacy, 1 540 of them was used for the evaluation process. Ibuprofen was developed by pharmacologist Dr. Stewart Adams and chemist John Nicolson. Ibuprofen has had forty years of history and nowadays, it is still the most popular product among professional and laic public. Aim of study: To do recherché concerning self-treatment by painkillers focused on ibuprofen to find out knowledge and experiences with self-treatment by painkillers; to find out the sources of information and their preferences. Methods: I made observable cross - sectional study in Liberecký and Středočeský regions. In the first step, I tested questionnaire in pre-research. Coumarin is the basic compound, called also 1,2-benzopyrone. Cardiovascular diseases are still the major cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. That is the reason why a research aimed at substances which could have positive effect on these diseases is very beneficial. It appears that coumarins seem to be promising medicaments for certain cardiovascular diseases. Besides the well-known anticoagulant effect of warfarin and its related substances have some coumarins antiplatelet, antioxidant, antihypertensive, antiedematogenic, hypolipidaemic and anitarrhythmic effects. Antiplatelet effect of coumarin is mediated by inhibition of cAMP-phosphodiesterase, lowering of intracellular Ca2+ or by inhibition of thromboxane synthesis. Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic Introduction: Medication errors have a negative impact on the quality of healthcare. A wide range of these situations can be suitably prevented. Aim of study: Identify and evaluate signs of medication errors in the providing of pharmaceutical care. Analyze the factors that may affect the occurrence of these medication errors. Methodology: Questionary with prospective screening of medication errors over the period of 20 days in 7 public pharmacies from Karlovy Vary region. Following questionary focused on the pharmacists' opinions (from same region) on the factors, which contribute to possible mismatch in the drugs dispensation. Data evaluated by descriptive statistics. Results: 20 potentially serious medication errors that could endanger the health of the patient were detected (1 error per 1000 dispensed prescriptions). Internet marketing is nowadays a full-value part of each company's marketing. For a lot of companies it is even much the strongest marketing activity. It is mainly because the internet marketing comprises in principle everything a company is on the internet presented with. As from web sites, banners, PR articles, sites optimalization, key words selection and choice of domain up to pay per click links. This diploma thesis is concerned with an analysis of the particular internet marketing tools and the demonstration of its usage in practice, for today it is not enough to have an average web or an isolated, from the rest of internet detached e-shop. Every company has to make a considerable effort to be successfull on the internet. And just the internet marketing shapes the combination of techniques and technologies that aim to fulfill the internet business intentions.

Analisis information during extraordinary occurrences

The aim of this graduation thesis is to introduce the effective information processing during extraordinary occurrences. Initially, it processes the information generally, presents it's life cycle and types of communication. It also explains models of communication. The second part depicts extraordinary occurrences. It defines particular sorts of extraordinary occurrences and possible critical countermeasures. It targets the legal regulation, which defines these situations. In the last part, the author explains hers performed survey of public opinion on extraordinary occurrences, which she interprets both graphically and in writing. In conclusion, this graduation thesis evaluates the policy of the Czech Republic during extraordinary occurrences.

Srovnávací studie pojetí informatiky na univerzitách

Předmětem zájmu předkládané bakalářské práce je analýza a srovnání pojetí informatiky na univerzitách. Její součástí je stručný popis vývoje výuky a dále krátké představení informačních technologií. Stěžejní částí je samotné hodnocení a srovnání výuky informatiky. Na základě metodiky hodnocení studijních programů navržené Centrem pro studium vysokého školství byla zformulována metodologie vhodná k analýze vybraných univerzit a jejich studijních programů. Skládá se z deseti kritérií, na jejichž základě bylo provedeno zhodnocení každého ze čtyř vybraných programů. Součástí analýzy je vyhodnocení, komentář k výsledkům a zhodnocení silných a slabých míst.
