Title: Maintaining the positive effects of physical exercise programs for elderly several months after its completion. Aims: The main aim of this thesis is to detect, if the level of physical activity of seniors remain in existence even when the organized exercise program within the study EXODYA ends. Another aim is to discover a benefit of two exercise programs within one year in several selected areas. The last aim is to find out, whether the three months long exercise program will have a positive impact on physical and mental state of seniors. Methods: This is an empiric-theoretical research thesis. Three ensembles took part in a mixed qualitative-quantitative research. The muscle strength, flexibility, level of depressive signs and the state of short-term memory was tested with the ensemble I. (N=7) before and after an organized three months long exercise program. The testing of the ensemble II. (N=4) was held during the whole year (2018) within two exercise programs. The measuring of aerobic fitness and physical weight were added. The ensemble III. (N=31) were the alumni of the study EXODYA and they participated in the self-designed survey, where they were asking about the recent level of physical activity. Results: Positive effects were noticed during the three months long exercise program....

Title: Perceived professional competencies for inclusive physical education from the view of elementary school teachers in Prague Objectives: The main aim of the thesis is to describe perceived competences of teachers in the professional fulfilment of the very essence of physical education (PE) in inclusive classes. The challenge is also to point out the barriers they face that prevent the safe and high-quality routing of PE in inclusive classes. At the same time, the intention is to outline the possibilities for systemic improvements. Methodology: 12 teachers (women, mean age = 45 years) from 6 primary schools involved in the Movement for Inclusion project participated in the study. The research used a qualitative methodology in the form of a structured interview, which had an hourly subsidy and was conducted directly at the primary school. Results: None of the respondents had a specialized course on the issue of inclusive PE until the beginning of the project. Most of them would be interested in such further education. Educators draw the most information from books and websites. Their opinion on inclusion is of interest - 67% consider school inclusion to be appropriate, a quarter of teachers disagree with inclusion and 8% have not expressed an opinion. The interview showed that teachers perceive...

Title: Exercise testing of paralympic athletes with physical disabilities Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out if paralympic athletes undergo exercise testing regularly, what is involved in this testing and whether the result are being followed or eventually consulted with the coach. Methods: The work is based on qualitative research. The information is obtained using the query method. As a method of data collection, the questionnaire of own construction and informal interview were used. The questionnaire was handed out to ten paralympic athletes. Six of them suffer from inborn malformations in the form of cerebral palsy, four of them have trauma caused by an accident. Two of them have limb amputation, two of them have spinal lesion and the last one has multiple sclerosis. The interview was conducted with a representative coach, sports physician and two elite athletes with physical disabilities. Results: Based on the questionnaire and an informal interview, I have found out that only 2 out of 10 paralympic athletes regularly perform stress tests and sports evaluation. The remaining 8 athletes undergo evaluation irregularly. 80 % of respondents follow the advice and recommendation of a physician, and 20 % of them do not. Based on the interview, we can say that in current paralympic...

Vajdíková, Markéta ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Daďová, Klára (referee)
Title: The influence of loneliness on hypertension in the elderly Objectives: The main aim was to estimate the influence of loneliness on hypertension in people over 50 years old. Methods: This Bachelor thesis was constructed as a cross-sectional study. Data were obtained from the 6th wave of the international project Survey of Health Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). Generalized linear models for binominal variables were used to estimate the influence of loneliness on hypertension. Results: Data from 32,431 women and 26,245 men were included in the analyses. The average age was 67.3 ± 9.6. Almost all the regression models showed statistically significant (p˂0.05) influence of loneliness on hypertension, except in males after adjusting for age and the other covariates. The highest influence of loneliness on hypertension was found in females where OR = 1,649 (p ˂0.001). Conclusions: The results of this study showed that loneliness could have a statistically significant influence on hypertension in females over 50 years old. Keywords: hypertension, loneliness feeling, SHARE

Poulová, Barbora ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Influence of the three month programme called Spiral vertebrae stabilization - SM system on function of the spiral muscle chains of seniors Objectives: Main objective of the thesis is to prove positive influence of group exercise by methodology of spiral vertebrae stabilization - SM system by MUDr. Richard Smisek on functions of movement system of seniors. Methods: Theses is empirically-theoretically based with using of kvaziexperiment research. There was one group of 12 participants, where 7 of them (6 women and 1 man in- between 65-75 years), were involved in three month exercise period. Participants were tested by 5 function tests by Smisek (2015), which they are evaluating function of spiral chains, with use of tailor meter and the protractor. Results: There were no substantial results during the three month intervention in the monitored parameters. The main cause was insufficient attendance, which was for more obvious results very important. It would be more relevant if we were use longer period of exercise - at least half a year. We can establish positive influence only with three participants, which they had at least fifty percent attendance. We came to the conclusion, that other physical activities of our participants also have high influence on our positive results. Keywords: SM...

Vlasáková, Jana ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Malá, Michaela (referee)
Name: Assessment of the "New speaking" method in the treatment of stuttering Objectives: Stuttering is a serious speech disorder where the consequences can significantly handicap individuals. Except the common logopedic care, there are also different alternative methods, including group therapy with the name "New speaking". The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the effect of this method from the perspective of two graduates. Methods: The main used method was exploratory (interview). Two subjects (female - 26 years old and male - 19 years old) participated in the case study. The interview consisted of fourteen questions. Results: Based on the analysis of the interviews it is possible to state that the "New Speech" method is working when the rules are followed. Absolvents perceive a subjectively significant improvement of speech with social and psychological consequences. Improvement in the social area can be supported by the fact that subjects are able to speak under all conditions and also that they perceive increase of job possibilities. The psychological improvement was less visible. It is suggested to work on their self-confidence and hardiness. Key words: speech disorder, stuttering, group therapy

Bytelová, Sophie ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Title: Mountain tourism for diabetics with an insulin pump Objectives: The aim of this study is to find out whether it is suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus treated with an insulin pump to undergo physical activity in the form of mountain tourism, as the more intense physical aktivity affects blood glucose levels and whether patients are able to work with advanced insulin pump functions. Methods: The work is conceived as an observational study of the Medtronic educational project. One day mountain hike trip of a distance about 30 km was attended by 40 patients (men and women) with diabetes aged 15-25 years. Non-invasive methods were used. The data was obtained by monitoring insulin pump probes, glucometers and continuous monitoring, which were further evaluated using the CareLink Pro software. Results: Physical activity in the form of mountain tourism is suitable for patients with DM1 treated on an insulin pump. 80% of the probands did not have a risk status of hypoglycaemia, and even though the determined normoglycemia for research was performed by a larger number of adults as opposed to children, this FA has a demonstrable effect on blood glucose levels. It also brings positive benefits for patients because they learn how to work better with advanced insulin pump functions....
