The Mortgage market in the Czech Republic

The aim of this diploma paper is to describe the mortgage market in the Czech Republic. Firstly, I have analysed the general situation which is connected with the issue of providing the mortgage credit in the Czech Republic. The next point is the analysis of market of flats and support of the flat's market. One of this product is mortgage credit. I have analysed the main economic values such as mortgage credit, mortgage interest, classified mortgage credit, business cycle, etc. Especially I discussed the household sector because we can see the biggest growth there. Finally, I have compared the mortgage market in the Czech Republic, in the European Union and in the United States of America. The mortgage crisis in the USA is an ongoing economic problem and it caused a global financial crisis during 2007 -- 2008.

Svensson, Bernanke and Inflation Targeting in Central Europe

This paper focuses on controversial issues of inflation targeting. The study is based on Svensson?s and Bernanke?s theory which is applied in case studies of Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. Understanding of actual performing of inflation targeting allows us to interpret correctly econometric and statistics analysis. The object of the thesis is to decide if the central European countries should rather follow Bernanke?s or Svensson?s theoretical conclusions. Brief summary of historical development explains reasons for implementing of inflation targeting. Next, Bernanke?s and Svensson?s definition of inflation targeting is mentioned and the differences are further analyzed. In particular, the choice of price index, understanding of price stability, lags of monetary transmission mechanism, the choice between band and point target. The last part of the thesis deals with intermediate target examining the performance of central bank and market forecast.

Real estate prices in connection with development of the economy of the Czech Republic

This thesis focuses on the problem of real estate prices in the Czech Republic and its progress in context of economic development of the Czech economy. The real estate prices are an important indicator of economic maturity of the country and its incidental adverse development affect strongly banking sector and consequently the whole economy. In the first part of the work are described and analyzed causations of the economic development of the Czech Republic for providing a frame of conditions of our economy. The second part of the work is focused on the Czech real estate market, its specifics in comparison with other markets. There are summarized starting points of the previous economic era and there are described and analyzed economic influences on the real estate market. Further there is given account of the real estate prices development in detail. Preceding findings are synthesized in the final part of the work and in addition there is sketched out possible development of real estate prices in the near future.

Position Analysis of the Health Insurance Companies in the Health Service System in CR

The object of the Bachelor's work is to analyze the present position of the health insurance companies in the health system of the Czech Republic. First of all I characterize the particular health service systems existing in the world in my work. Further I am concerned with the health service system in this country, with its development, financing and, especially, with the role of the health insurance companies in this system. A special attention is devoted by me to the health insurance which is the main income of the health insurance companies; and to its redistribution. I analyze problems of the public health insurance system as well as of the health insurance companies. In a further part I deal with the health insurance system in U.S.A. where the health insurance is voluntary and therefore it is set up on a commercial base, whereas the public general health insurance in CR is compulsory. I compare advantages and disadvantages of the health service systems in CR and U.S.A. and on base of this analysis I will prove that the Czech medical service is instable economically; that it comes to wasting as the patient has no choice to choose the care according to the quality and price; it comes to reduction of the availability of medical services; the patients have no possibility of paying extra money for a service of higher quality even if they have enough money for that. At the end on the basis of the analysis of functioning of both these systems I indicate which way the reform of the medical service in this country could proceed.

Reform of Higher Education: Direct tution fee?

The goal of this bachelor work is concerned with introducing tution fees and student financial support. It is pointed out student loans and education savings as a source of funds of great scale in the theoretical part. The analytical part is focused on different kinds of student financial support used in Hungary, Canada and Netherlands. Final objective is to decide if icome-contingent repayments proposed by "White Book" is the best feasible solution for Czech Higher Education.

Budoucnost biopaliv v evropském palivoenergetickém řetězci

Tato práce se zabývá zaváděním biosložek do pohonných hmot v Evropské Unii a dopadem této činnosti na životní prostředí a ekonomiku států. Jedná se o snahu redukovat závislost na ropě, jejíž zásoby se dle odborníků snižují a taktéž o snahu omezit produkci emisí z automobilové dopravy, zejména skleníkových plynů, jež se nemalou měrou podílejí na klimatických změnách. Nárůst spotřeby ropy a produkce emisí během posledního století je vysoký a způsoben především zvyšujícím se počtem automobilů, který je ovlivněn mimo jiné, vyšší životní úrovní obyvatel Evropy. Cílem této práce je srovnat mezi sebou ideu Evropské unie o přechodu na biopaliva a zprávy světových organizací, které tento postup kritizují. Dalším cílem práce bude snaha zjistit, zda vůbec, a za jakých podmínek, a v jakém množství je zavádění biosložek výhodné a ekonomicky efektivní, vzhledem k nákladům na výrobu směsného paliva a nákladům na zavedení opatření včetně dopadu na státní rozpočet.

Investiční pobídky byly zavedeny v roce 1998 s cílem podpořit příliv přímých zahraničních investic (PZI) do České republiky. S přímými zahraničními investicemi bývají spojovány pozitivní dopady na hostitelskou zemi ve formě napojení se na zahraniční trhy, přenosu technologického transferu a manažerského know-how. Na druhou stranu s PZI a investičními pobídkami bývají spojovány i negativní dopady na hostitelskou zemi, a to ve formě možného narušení hospodářské soutěže, ovlivnění platební bilance země vyplácením dividend do zahraničí nebo zvýšenými dovozy zahraničních firem. Je otázkou, zda poskytování investičních pobídek je tím nejvhodnějším nástrojem podpory přílivu PZI a zda již investiční pobídky neztratily svůj význam v době, kdy země střední Evropy nabízejí velmi podobné systémy investičních pobídek. Alternativou investičních pobídek by mělo být kvalitní podnikatelské prostředí s nízkou sazbou daně, fungujícím soudnictvím a kvalifikovanou pracovní silou.

Analýza podobností a odlišností vývoje hospodářského cyklu vybraných evropských ekonomik

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou vývoje hospodářského cyklu a ověřováním hypotéz o hospodářském cyklu u vybraných evropských ekonomik v letech 1981-2007. V teoretické části jsou definovány základní pojmy a je nastíněn přehled ekonomických teorií 20. století. Dále se zabývá makroekonomickou rovnováhou a způsoby jejího obnovování, proměnnými hospodářského cyklu a jeho determinantami. Samotná analýza se zabývá jednotlivými složkami užití hrubého domácího produktu a jejich vlivu na vývoj hospodářského cyklu. Dále je zkoumán vliv růstu cen a úrokových měr na hospodářský cyklus.

Práce upozorňuje na nezbytnost kvalitního výzkumu a vývoje pro rozvinuté země. Mapuje situaci výzkumu a vývoje v České republice. S pomocí komparativní analýzy České republiky a Evropské unie popisuje současný stav výzkumu a vývoje v České republice a odhaduje budoucí vývoj. Také navrhuje řešení, které by vedly ke zlepšení situace v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje v České republice, respektive k hospodářskému růstu a zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti České republiky.

Návrh opatření na zvýšení atraktivity ČR pro vstup zahraničních investorů

Diplomová práce je postavena na třech hlavních kapitolách, z nich první dvě se staly východiskem pro vytvoření třetí kapitoly a to projektu. První část práce je zaměřena na teoretické poznatky, které jsou spojené s tématem diplomové práce. Druhá část práce je věnována analýze jednotlivých faktorů, jež ovlivňují rozhodování zahraničních investorů při vstupu do České republiky. Analýza je zaměřena na faktor lidských zdrojů, infrastruktury, surovin a připravenosti území, státní regulace, finančních a výrobních trhů. Východiskem této analýzy je SWOT analýza, stanovení silných a slabých stránek a také příležitostí a hrozeb, týkajících se České republiky. V této části práce je zhodnocena i práce agentury CzechInvest a systém investičních pobídek. Analytická část se stala východiskem pro třetí část práce, kde je navržena soustava opatření vedoucí ke zvýšení atraktivity České republiky pro vstup zahraničních investorů. Projektová část práce vychází jak z teoretických tak i z analytických poznatků, které vedly ke stanovení navržených opatření.
