Non-existence as a new institution of Czech law

Non-existence as a new institution of Czech law Abstract The aim of the thesis is to examine the institute of non-existence which is new in the Czech law. Therefore, the beginning of the thesis is arranged in order to make clear the chronological development of civil law in terms of wrongful conduct and/or wrongful legal act sanctions. Historically, the General Civil Code (ABGB) is of particular relevance. ABGB was an important civil code not only on our territory but also in Austria and other countries of the former Habsburg Monarchy. While the original text of this Code sanctioned wrongful legal acts by invalidity ("Ungültigkeit"), the 1916 amendment introduced another term into the Code, taken from the German Civil Code (BGB), and namely "Nichtigkeit". Although this term means "invalidity" as well, it was mistakenly translated into Czech by the word "nicotnost" (literally "nothingness" in English). In the thesis, the legal situation in the period from 1948 till 2014 is discussed briefly, mentioning in particular the Family Act which, commencing from 1998, included, in addition to the term "invalidity" (of marriage), also the term "non-existence" (of marriage) stating that no marriage is formed in these cases. Marketing and business ethics in branches protected by copyright

The thesis is focused on an analysis of marketing tools and business policies, applied on the field of commercial publishing. First part is dedicated to an analysis of the copyright law that affects the activity of this sort of companies. It includes an explanation of the most important parts of the copyright law that is valid in the Czech Republic. There is a display of important international standards, considering the issues of intellectual property. The second chapter relates to the theory of marketing and ethical issues of commercial and business activities. It includes a definition of basic terms, marketing tools, and a step-by-step clarification related to developing a marketing strategy. The end of this chapter summarizes the options of using marketing tools in publishing. Eventually, the thesis deals with pieces of knowledge, gained during its writing. Two different ways of creating a marketing strategy for the Knižní klub publishing company are considered in the end of the thesis. Both ways are described in detail, and compared to each other.

The aim of the diploma thesis "Typology and Development of Bohemian Chateau Architecture, 1620-1690" is the definition and analysis of the principial functional and esthetical components of the chateau architecture, and also an attempt at their classification to wider context of early baroque Central European and European architectural development. The catalogue of 76 exquisited architectural objects is included.

Stalking in the world of electronic media

Stalking is extremely complicated phenomenon, which exists in our society. Despite the fact it's the subject of psychology studies for a long time, the knowledge about this phenomenon has spread to the public in the last few decades. This circulation was supported by the growth of electronic media, because in connection with this penetration it becomes easier a faster than before and stalkers gained new instruments to their hands. Victims were becoming constantly more vulnerable and society became fully conscious of the need of criminalization of this phenomenon. Stalking is a multidisciplinary phenomenon, which pervades many branches of research. Despite the knowledge about this phenomenon in public, information science and information management deal with stalking minimally. Therefore this thesis analyses stalking as a multidisciplinary phenomenon from the view not only informatics, but also from the view of other sciences. This thesis points to individual aspects of attacks through electronic media, to simplicity of their use and to the methods of defence against them. It points to the need of protection of personal data not only in a private life, but also in a professional life.
