The End of the War, Litoměřice in 1945

This master's thesis focuses on year 1945 and events in Litoměřice town. Especially events in the town itself in spring the same year, upcoming revolt in the nearby village Žitenice, situation both the German and the Czech population, their reaction to the forthcomig end of the war and last efforts of occupiers to hold the town. There will be briefly mentioned also the history of the Nazi occupation of Litoměřice. Special attention will be paid to the concentration camp Litoměřice. Here I will build on my previous barchelor thesis, in which I mentioned the liberation of the concentration camp in one chapter. I will complete and extend aforementioned events. Attention will be paid, among other things, also to the way how the end of the war enrolled to lives of prisoners themselves. I will try to reconstruct all from archival materials and literature and mainly from memories of civilians and prisoners of the concentration camp in a similar way as in my previous bachelor thesis.
History of "Bedřich Reich" textile factory in Česká Skalice

This thesis describes a history of Bedřich Reich's mechanical weaving - which was established on the turn of 19th and 20th century in Česká Skalice, a textile region in East Bohemia, by his father Karel Reich. From the historical sources of East Bohemia's archive are in the work mentioned technical proposals related to the factory construction, financial statistics and documents relating to the production of textile. In a separate section is presented the story of a Jewish family of Bedřich Reich, describing an idyllic life between two wars, however, at the time of the protectorate tragically touched by factory aryanization and transport to Terezín and Auschwitz. The main period occurs after the war, when the daughter of Bedřich Reich, Eva, returned as the only one home to Česká Skalice. In years 1945-1989, the factory became part of the national corporation Lina Jaroměř and later Mileta Hořice. The final part covers the beginning of the 90s, when the factory was returned in restitution to the descendants of Mrs. Reichová - Zelená.
Women's Integration into the Physical Education Organization Sokol

This thesis Women's Integration into the Physical Education Organization Sokol discusses the integration of women into organization Sokol, which was in the Czech lands first organization in which there was regular exercise. The aim is to give a clear historical perspective on the integration of women into Sokol. The thesis builds on the symbolic interpretation of the role of men and women based on the book by Pierre Bourdieu Domination of men in which Bourdieu argues that the inclusion of women in society is the result of a symbolic perception of the whole reality in which women have lower status than men. Further disclosed herein is the development of physical activities, games and ritualistic ceremonies. The development of the physical activity is related to the overall perception of physicality and culture itself, through which people became more interested in their body. The development of the physical education and formation Sokol had a great influence on the formation of the first women's gymnastic club of ladies and girls of Prague, which allowed women to enter the Sokol a chance to do the same physical activities as men. Muzeum a současnost - Středočeské Museum in Roztoky in Years 1978 -1993

Introduction of the bachelor thesis will be dedicated to formation of Středočeské muzeum in Roztoky u Prahy, its local and national importance and the influence on the former scientists and artists connected with the museum. Then it is going to map local first scientific activity in Zpravodaj in years 1965-1976. The main theme will be a study of the Muzeum a současnost yearbooks in 1978-1993 (changing with relation to political situation) and important persons connected with it. Then the value of the Muzeum a současnost in different classes of scientific and artistic working. Conclusion of the thesis will be summarizing the facts and appreciating the importance of the institution and the Muzeum a současnost publications in years 1978-1993 and transformation of the Muzeum a současnost to Středočeský vlastivědný sborník.

Nikola Tesla - Genius who changed the world This bachelor thesis tells the story of life and work of Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla and it's mainly dedicated to years, which he spent in America. In the context of that time it highlights the importance of his inventions, some of which have significantly affected today's technology. The largest part of the work, occupy two Tesla's long life disputes which affected his career and personal life. The first one of these, "war of currents", was between Tesla and Edison. The second one between Tesla and Marconi passed because of invention of radio. The development of both disputes is described from the historical, economical and technological side, which focuses on the consequences for today's world. At the end of the text, there is a brief presentation of lesser-known Tesla's inventions and various recognitions which he received for his contribution to science.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of imaging of Great War in czech weekly "Světozor". It will examine how much space during years 1914-1918 is given to war events, what sides of the war conflict are shown and with what frequency. The thesis also wants to cover whether there is any change in the manner of imaging during the course of the war. Last section of the thesis will be on the topic how could the reader perceive the Great War based on the photographs of this weekly.

The bachelor thesis will focus on the situation of Greek Catholic Church in Czechoslovakia after the Communist outset in 1948, when the so-called Action P, which was to destroy the Church, occured. It will primarily concentrate on the period after the onset of communism to power, although the plans to the destruction of the Church were ready before the year 1948, and charting their systematic fulfillment after the Communist outset in 1950, when the "Presov Sobor" met. It will become one of the central themes of this thesis and will be set into the context of the then religion-political situation in Czechoslovakia.

Jakub Hajíček The abstract of dissertation thesis Jirina Popelova and Modern Czech Comeniological Studies This dissertation thesis describes the history of Czech and English comeniological studies i.e. the interdisciplinary studies of life, works and legacy of Jan Amos Komensky. The thesis starts with the real beginning of the studies in the 18th century and depicts the history until the Second World War. There is a specific focus on the second half of the 20th century in which the gradual transition to modern comeniological studies takes place - in previous researches Komensky was understood as a great teacher and also as an author of language textbooks. On the other hand, modern comeniological studies interpret him primarily as an original philosopher and theologian whose pedagogical thinking arises from philosophy. Czech-Slovak perspective is consistently applied, and different accents, approaches and also the value of Czech and Slovak comeniological studies are shown in an interesting way. The emphasis is also put on important personalities who were working in the field of comeniological studies e.g. Ján Kvačala, the founder of comeniological studies as a scientific discipline, Josef Hendrich, the most important Czech researcher of the first half of the 20th century, or also on selected personalities...
