Novodvroska Housing Estate - Architecture and Urbanism

The topic of bachelor thesis is Prague housing development Novodvorská. Thesis will introduce in a monographic elaboration the project of the housing development and its location, construction process, the architecture and urban solutions, also the persons of architects. It deals also with the internal conception of housing estate, color scheme, object of small and lanandscape architecture and especially artworks and their authors, often important representatives of the generation. Thesis will introduce the projet within a brief historic context. Will compare Novodvorska with contemporary housing projects of the first half of 1960s, its specific and common features. On a theretical level it will focus on contemporary issues of housing developments urbanism and discussion about their construction. At the end it will assess the level of the data funds that were gained.

Historicism in Prague sacral architecture around the year 1600

(in English): This essay tries to, on numerous selected examples, introducted from a wider European context, through specific tasks of Czech architecture to a list of building activity in Prague, general and specific features of religious buildings of the early modern period, depict the overall image and grasp the character of period architectural production, tied with displays of historicism. Historisms follow directly the late Gothic, from which these integrally emerge, and then appear continuously, as a specific stylish modus, represented chiefly by conserved Gothic forms in premises with liturgical function, parallelly to generally prevalent style (Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque), up to the 18th century. Therefore, yet a moment and a manner of reception of the Reneaissance behind the Alps, with which relates affirmation of character of sacred architecture is observed. Further are discussed particular potentialities of their ideological substantiation and artistic conception. Finally an attempt is made to elucidate their relation with Mannerism, in which context quantitative and qualitative rise of historicism occured, especially the gothicizing. Influence of industrial zones on economical situation of Czech republic

The goal of this work is to find out, how the situation is with real estates for business use, especially with industrial zones and how do they affect economical situation in Czech republic. The work examines broader context of this topic, as well. Related topics, as impact of foreign direct investment and investment incentives are mentioned, too. Main part of this work is about history of subvention of industrial zones in Czech republic and their current state, as well as of the other types of business real estates, with examples. Situation in this area is compared in Czech and Slovak republics.
