Possibilities of employment of direct care workers in day care centers in selected region

This master's thesis deals with the possibilities of employment of direct care workers in day care centers. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part provides a primary insight into the system of social services with the specification of day care centers as social care services according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll., On social services. It also discusses the range of professions that can be employed in day care centers based on the Czech Republic's legal system. The practical part presents quantitative research which had an aim to find out the possibilities of employment of direct care workers in day care centers in a selected region, the capital city of the Prague region. The research monitors the professional proportionality of multidisciplinary teams concerning the level and field of education and employee participation in activities carried out in day care centers. Based on the research results, the last part of the work proposes recommendations for practices. There is a demonstration of work using the staging method and applying the principles of experiential learning. Self-education as a specific professional acitvity of a teacher

The diploma thesis is focused on observation of a teaching staff of a small Czech rural primary school with regard to self-education of these teachers. The theoretical part focuses on the methods and principles of self-education and self-education of the primary school teachers. In the practical part, the quantitative method is used - all teachers of the surveyed staff completed a structured questionnaire as well as a qualitative method - these teachers were interviewed individually. The aim of this work is to map the methods and principles of self-education and aspects that make it difficult or impossible for teachers to self- educate, or circumstances in which the teachers would be willing to educate themselves. This work can be considered an action research that has been subjected to a small but maximum possible sample. The survey showed how these teachers educate themselves, what prevents them from self-education, and under what circumstances or in what areas they would like to be self-educated.
Self-education as a specific professional activity of a primary school teacher

The focus of the thesis is self-education as a part of the professional activity of a primary school teacher. A brief definition of a teacher according to the Education Act and the competencies of a pedagogical staff. The following chapters concern on self- education, self-esteem and self-knowledge, which are the key qualities that are needed in self-knowledge process. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate the important role of continuous self-education as an integral part of the teacher's competencies applied in everyday pedagogical activities. The predominant part of the paper is devoted to the practical part carried out by mixed research, followed by the questionnaire survey aimed at finding out opinions on the area of teacher self-education at the Prague primary school, an analysis of these questionnaires follows. The sample of three teachers was chosen out of the total number of 13 respondents, with whom their motivations, forms, methods, time-consuming self-education, or obstacles preventing, them from self- education were ascertained in the form of in-depth interviews. Options of Selection and Development of Gifted Children at Primary School

The diploma thesis Options of Selection and Development of Gifted Children at Primary School is devided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains processed information about giftedness based on professional literature. I paid attention to introduction of definitions of giftedness according to various authors, but I preferred those definitions that giftedness are understood as a reason for special eduction. It also includes chapters on the basic types of giftedness, possibly specific manifestations of gifted children and options of developing gifted children at primary school. The practical part of the diploma thesis consists of empirical materiál that at first describes the options of education and development of gifted children at Primar school V Rybníčkách. Subsequently I devoted myself to the analysis of the acquired empirical materiál that i get for my praxtical pedagogical work at the primary school. In the practical part of the thesis I also included a chapter where I presented tips for activities that provede to by suiteble in practice for the development of the potential of gifted children during classes and in leisure time activities. At the end of the diploma thesis I see our activities as stiulating but not entirely ideal.
Education a pupil with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the selected elementary school

In Diploma thesis, the author addresses the issue of educating a pupil with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). In the introduction, she explains her choice of the theme. In the theoretical part the author presents muscular dystrophy, its course, manifestations, treatment options and support, based on a study of professional medical, pedagogical, psychological and specifically pedagogical literature, It will also describe the specifics of the disease in relation to education of pupils with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and will list the educational possibilities for pupils with this disease in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the author presents a qualitative research conducted through the analysis of a case study of a particular pupil, from his passive as well as participating observation in the classroom, from semi-structured interviews with the pupil's mother, with his teachers and his teaching assistant, with this particular pupil with DMD and his classmates. This bachelor thesis deals with the theme Activities of prevention methodologists at selected secondary schools. The aim of this work is to compare the Preventive Programs of selected secondary schools, what is the emphasis of the school in the area of primary prevention and what are the ways to meet the points of the Preventive Program. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts in the area of primary prevention of risk behavior of youth. It points to the system of prevention in the education system in the Czech Republic and briefly defines all areas of risky behavior of children and youth with which the school prevention methodologist works. This bachelor thesis deals with left-handedness (sinistrality) in the environment of after-school clubs. The theoretical part defines sinistrality with respect to attitude to it in history, describes the types and forms of sinistrality and deals with the options how to recognize it, describes the possibilities of modern approach and support of left-handed children. It also defines the environment, functions and contents of activities in after- school clubs and describes possible support of left-handed children in after-school clubs. The goal of the practical research is to map the attitude of educators to left-handed children, to find out what kind of tools are used in the activities in clubs, to describe quality of equipment and facilities in the classrooms and also to find out what parents expect from the educators. The education of people with Asperger's Syndrome

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of education of people with Asperger syndrome. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to learn, by the means of qualitative research methods, how already adult people with Asperger syndrome evaluate the course of their education. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical section. The theoretical section contains the definition of basic terms. It deals with education of pupils and students with special educational needs, considering the issue of Asperger's syndrome, not only from the legislative point of view, but also from the pedagogical point of view. The practical section of this bachelor thesis, be means of three case studies, investigated how already adult people with Asperger syndrome evaluate the course of their education. The sources of the data, the case studies are based on, include interviews with respondents interviewed in 2006, asking the same questions in both interviews. Other sources were medical reports, educational and psychological counselling center reports, newly conceived interviews with respondents and interviews with respondents' mothers.
