František Dvořák (1932-1986): photographic ouvre in a context of its time.
HRUŠOVÁ, Helena
In the period from the 1960s to the first half of the 1980s, František Dvořák was known as one of the most inspiring personalities among Czech amateur photographers. Yet today, only minimal attention is paid to his personality and work. That is why this text has been written, with the aim of revealing something more of Dvořák's legacy. In continuation of the bachelor thesis entitled Photographer František Dvořák (1932-1986). Life and Work. it deepens the knowledge gathered so far and tries to place this amateur photographer and his work in the contemporary context of local history and the history of Czechoslovak photography. In doing so, it seeks answers to the questions of what influence the political situation or the photographic tradition and contemporary work in Czechoslovakia had on the form of Dvořák's work. Compared to the previous text, the evaluation of Dvořák's work is based on a wider range of examples of his work, and individual photographs and entire cycles, which were only briefly mentioned so far, are now presented, as well as the lost handmade book Things Dreams Reality from 1973, for which a draft version has recently been found. Using these and other examples of his work, I will try to explain the significance of František Dvořák's work in the context of the times.
Physical load in simulated sustained military operations: A Systematic Review
Fanta, Matěj ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Sýkora, Karel (referee)
Title: Physical load in simulated sustained military operations: a systematic review Objective: To create an overview and description of the physical load that soldiers undergo in simulated sustained operations. Methods: The method chosen to create this bachelor's thesis was a systematic review of literature and studies related to sustained military operations. The thesis was conducted according to the international PRISMA recommendations. Based on the aim of the thesis and the research question, a script was created to identify potentially relevant studies through the Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus and SPORTDiscus databases. To the systematically identified studies, studies from other sources obtained through non- systematic searching were added. Selected studies that met the predefined inclusion criteria underwent a methodological quality assessment, followed by processing and analysis of the selected data. Results: The systematic review included 42 studies with participation of 872 men and 69 women. However, a number of these studies were published based on data from larger investigations, or some of the articles were a continuation of previously published studies. In some cases, the protocols described were identical. For this reason, only 26 studies that followed different protocols are...
Birth Positions, Formerly and Today
ROBAUSCHOVÁ, Magdaléna Anna
This bachelor thesis focuses on comparing the used birthing positions in the past and present. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the evolution of obstetrics and the development of birthing positions used from prehistoric times to the present day. The physiological process of childbirth is briefly described, including the stages of labor. The thesis also includes a description of the role of a midwife during childbirth. Some alternative methods in obstetrics are also mentioned. The thesis also provides a more detailed description of the individual positions that can be used during childbirth. Two main goals were defined for the practical part. The first goal was to find out which positions women are interested in during childbirth today. The second goal was to compare the difference in the choice of positions during childbirth today compared to positions used in the past. A quantitative research survey was used to achieve the set goals through a self-constructed questionnaire, which was distributed in paper form. The questionnaire consisted of a total of 21 questions, of which 15 were closed, 2 were open, and 4 were semi-closed. Data processing, along with graphical and tabular evaluation, was subsequently performed using Microsoft Excel. The research sample was one and consisted of women who had given birth at least once in their life, but not by caesarean section. The respondents were then divided into three categories to compare their answers in a defined time frame. The first category consisted of women who gave birth between 2018 and 2023. This group was represented by 62 women out of a total of 176 respondents. The second group included women who gave birth between 1994 and 2017, which included 49 women. The last category consisted of women who gave birth at least 30 years ago, in 1993 or earlier. This category included 65 women. Based on the defined goals, three hypotheses were then established. Only two groups of women were compared in the evaluation due to the wording of the hypotheses. The first group consisted of women who gave birth between 2023 and 2018, and the second group included women who gave birth in 1993 or earlier. H1: Women today have the opportunity to choose their own birthing positions compared to women who gave birth thirty years ago. H2: Women who gave birth thirty years ago did not have information about birthing positions in the first stage of labor compared to women giving birth today. H3: Women giving birth nowadays are more interested in using various positions during the second stage of labor than women who gave birth thirty years ago. Based on the results of the research survey, hypotheses H1 and H3 were confirmed, and hypothesis H2 was rejected.
A collaborative partnership between a school social worker and a family
ČECHUROVÁ, Lucie
The bachelor thesis examines the theme of a school social worker and the possible scope of his collaboration with pupils and their families. I approach the relevant models of school social work derived from ecological perspective and focused not only on the development of a school but also on the linkage as regards the cooperation between the given school, community and family. I explore the way this collaboration is beneficial when solving problems and difficulties of pupils which they encounter at school and in terms of their motivation to study. The bachelor thesis also identifies possible strategies how a school social worker can effectively use methods and approaches related to a specific family-oriented social work when working with pupils and their families.
The Influence of Timely Initiation of CPR on the Prognosist of Cardiac Arrests due to Cardiac Causes
Beňová, Eliška ; Knor, Jiří (advisor) ; Peřan, David (referee)
The thesis deals with the influence of timely initiation of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation in cases of cardiac arrest due to cardiac causes. In the research part of the thesis, I mainly gave my attention to the factors connected with time and quick initiation of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, so I created contingency tables from the input data where I was interested in the success rate of the non-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation given by a bystander compared to the cases where it is not performed. From the total of 1315 cases, I selected 872 individuals where the cardiac arrest had cardiac causes. The observed period of 2019-2020 shown that in the cases where a layman initiates the resuscitation before the arrival of a professional team the return of spontaneous circulation occurs at 24.78% cases. Meanwhile when the cardiopulmonary resuscitation is not given, the restoration of circulation occurs in 25.11% of individuals. This points out that the result of cardiopulmonary resuscitation does not depend on whether the massage was given by a layman or not. I also dealt with the influence of the time of arrival of the professional team at the place of the event. I found out that the most common travel time in the Central Bohemian Region is 5.01-10 minutes and that the time of arrival...
Testing of different quality filtering algorithms on contig quality in plant transcriptome
KROLL, Laura-Nadine
RNA sequences of the carnivorous plant Utricularia vulgaris were used to test the impor- tance of RNA sequence quality control tools and the influence of those tools on a sequence assembly. Three quality control tools were examined, followed up by the testing of two dif- ferent assemblers. The results were then compared and evaluated.
