Training set generation system for reconstruction of electrical impedance tomography images
Zemiti, Samia ; Aloph, Clark ; Mikulka, Jan
This paper introduces an innovative approach to simulating Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) through MATLAB, aimed at advancing the accuracy and reliability of internal imaging using electrodes. We address the critical challenge of reconstructing interior images with high fidelity by simulating inhomogeneous mediums. Our methodology involves the generation of synthetic datasets, encompassing various inhomogeneity scenarios, followed by applying forward solutions to ascertain voltage measurements indicative of interior conductivity variations. The research emphasizes the creation of an adaptive framework capable of simulating real-world scenarios within a controlled digital environment, thereby enhancing the predictive capabilities of EIT systems in diverse applications ranging from medical imaging to industrial inspection.

Bušková, Tereza ; Boukalová, Hedvika (advisor) ; Zernerová, Lucie (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the topics of self-compassion, emotion regulation, and alcohol addiction. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the connections among self-compassion, emotion regulation, alcohol addiction, and internalized shame. The empirical part of the thesis has the character of quantitative research. Data collection methods are scales measuring self- compassion, difficulties in emotion regulation, disorders caused by alcohol use, and internalized shame. From the analysis of data collected from 190 respondents, it was found that the level of difficulties in emotion regulation fully mediates the relationship between the level of self-compassion and the level of disorders caused by alcohol use. Furthermore, a statistically significant difference was found in the level of self-compassion, difficulties in regulating emotions, and internalized shame between the groups of short-term and long-term abstinent alcohol addicts. The analysis of the data also shows a statistically significant correlation between the level of self-compassion and the level of internalized shame, between the level of self-compassion and the level of difficulty in regulating emotions, and the level of internalized shame and the level of difficulty in regulating emotions. The level of internalized shame in the...
Assessment of the energy cost of florball and flag football
Máchal, Tomáš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Jandová, Soňa (referee)
The thesis elaborates the difficulty of flag football compared to floorball using heart rate measurements. Measurements for each sport were taken with six players in the age range of 18- 37 years old for twenty minutes of the game. Players are active in these sports and were selected after consultation with coaches. The measured values were processed using statistical data analysis and presented through bar graphs. Five load zones were determined for data analysis, using Polar application. The first zone of 50% to 60% of maximum heart rate and each subsequent zone covered values ranging 10% higher. The measurements showed that floorball players reached a significantly higher average heart rate during the game, 153.1 ± 9.4 bpm, compared to the average heart rate of 131 ± 6.7 bpm achieved by flag football players. The floorball players also measured a higher average maximum heart rate, which was 190.5 ± 9.4 beats/min. In flag football players, this value averaged 173.8 ± 8.5 beats/min. Furthermore, the measurements showed that the flag football players spent significantly more time in the lower load zones during the game than the floorball players. Specifically, flag football players spent 25.2% of the time in the first zone, 32.8% of the time in the second zone, 28.5% of the time in the third zone,...

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a two-storey detached energy efficient house for family with four members. First part of the thesis is focused on structural and architectural design of the house. The design will also include an assessment in terms of thermal engineering, acoustics, daylighting and sun glare and fire safety. The loadbearing structure of the house is a timber frame from I-joists which provides reduction of thermal bridges in wall structure. The main structure is supported by strip foundations made from reinforced concrete. On the first floor there is a main living area consisting of kitchen, dining area and living room with southwest views to the garden. On the first floor there are also rooms such as the office, utility room, toilet and entrance hall with windows facing to northeast direction. Second floor is designed to be the private zone of the house. On the second floor there is a master bedroom with en-suite, two children bedrooms, closet, bathroom and separate toilet. Second part of the thesis is focused on building services. The house is heated and cooled by an air-to-water heat pump system. The heating and cooling is provided by a radiant floor system. The heat pump's indoor unit has an integrated 190-liter hot water cylinder. The building also uses mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery with capacity of 350 m/h. Rainwater will be collected in a 6 m storage tank on the property with safety overflow to infiltration system. Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of the house to generate electricity in a hybrid system with a capacity of 5,74 kWp.

Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of: Pharmaceutical Technology Consultant: PharmDr. Petra Svačinová, Ph.D. Student: Lucie Plotová Title of Thesis: Spray drying of chitosan suspension with different content of active substance In this work, a spray-dried suspension of chitosan with different content of active substance was evaluated. By spray drying, solid particles were formed from the suspensions of various drug concentration, which were further evaluated to assess their properties. The formed suspensions contained, in addition to chitosan, 20, 30, 40 or 50 mg of meloxicam and sodium lauryl sulphate as surfactant and were subsequently dried at 170 řC, 190 řC or 210 řC. The prepared particles were evaluated using an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Furthermore, the rate and amount of released active substance were evaluated by dissolution, and the thermal properties of the particles were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). According to the results from the optical microscope and SEM, it was shown that the particles of the spray-dried samples formed clusters of individual particles and irregular shapes can be seen in the images. Small particles of meloxicam are visible on the surface of the platelet-shaped chitosan...
Prostitution from a criminal law perspective
Stašáková, Anežka ; Hořák, Jaromír (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Prostitution from a criminal law perspective Abstract In view of the existing jurisprudence, prostitution can be understood not only as sexual intercourse with other persons for remuneration in the form of coitus, but also as all other forms of exhibition of the sexual drive of another person of the same or opposite sex by physical intercourse. However, when defining prostitution, it is necessary to take into consideration the element of voluntariness, i.e. whether prostitution is provided voluntarily or involuntarily. The aim of the rigorous thesis was to describe both of these forms, i.e. both the issue of voluntary prostitution and the issue of involuntary prostitution. The differentiation of prostitution according to the element of voluntariness can also be observed at the level of international legislation, which tends to focus on forced prostitution. The same is the case at the legal level, where the current approach to prostitution in the Czech Republic can be described as abolitionist, i.e. prostitution as such is not punished, but only the accompanying phenomena or prohibited forms of prostitution. In this context, the rigorous thesis analyses the offence of prostitution endangering the moral development of children according to Section 190 of the Criminal Code, the offence of pimping according to...
