Sanatorium with speleotherapy for children in Ostrov u Macochy
Promna, Denisa ; Odvárka, Antonín (referee) ; Žalmanová, Petra (advisor)
The main idea was to choose a child as a measure of design. Immerse yourself in his world and his perception of space - keep in mind his needs. What did the place where he would be able to recover from respiratory problems look like? Was she in the hospital? What kind of room was that? What was that for? place? Did nature play any meaning in that? Would you like to go back there? How does she remember him? The aim was to create a place that resembles the hospital environment as little as possible, is in direct contact with nature and attracts to get to know it more. The stay in the hospital should be more reminiscent of spending holidays at school in nature. How to avoid austere hospital premises? Is there such a guide at all? Should I draw inspiration elsewhere? Where do we go to gain strength from everyday worries? In nature, of course. And how does this need translate into architecture? And we have at all such architecture? The answer to the questions I asked was the cottage. House created for a stay in nature. But how to lift it to something richer and more interesting? There was something else that fascinated me as a child spending time in Luhačovice - the spa environment. How these two forms to connect?
Architectural study of the sacral object Brno - Líšeň / second stage
Simonova, Hanna ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The main theme of the diploma is the design of a new Roman Catholic church and parish within the framework of the construction of a panel residential complex in Nový Líšeň in Brno. Due to the fact that Salesian children and youth workers came to the area in 1990, it became necessary to build a church and a Salesian youth center. This proposal is based on an analysis of the urban context. The church is surrounded by prefabricated houses next to a school, a health clinic, a shopping center, and a Salesian youth center in a gently sloping area facing south with the dominant Palava hills.

Pašková, Štěpánka ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of this baleror thesis is a design a new building of the Kindergarten FUTURUM in Brno – district. Catadral area of Stránice. The Kindergarten is on the common plot of the Cyril and Methodius grammar school and secondary vocational school. The area of interes tis located in the southern part of the plot. The building is connected on the north side to the courtyard of the grammar school, which is accessible on Lerchova Street. On the west side is accessible on Havlíčkova Street. The building contains the operation of two full-fledged classrooms with a maximum number of 24 children with their own preparation kitchen, laundry, technical and administrative facilities. The surroundings of kindergarten are designed as a garden with a playground and vegetables garden. The single-storey partially basement kindergarten building has a flat vegetation roof. A simple floor plan of two rectangular shapes copies the shape of the plot. By setting it on a sloping terrain, the basement part and the high-rice department od the private part od the kindregarten and its garden will be easily accessible. The building is divided into two rectangular masses with different heights of the attic and type of facade. The larger mas sis dispositionally solved by a central hygienic and service block which connects two axially symmetrical dipositions of two classes. The smaller mass attached from the west side contains the administrative background. Both substances have their own input. The central block is connected to the basement where is all the technical facilities. The lower mass consist of a ventilated facade with wooden slatted cladding. The higher mas sis made of the ETICS systém with a white exterior facade plaster. The materials connect the entrance portals in the opposite materials solution.
The Castle Area Břeclav
Bažík, Lenka ; Chuděj, Tomáš (referee) ; Žalmanová, Petra (advisor)
It is important to consider broader context to create a concept for a chateau complex in Breclav - within the region and mainly engaging in Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape (LVA). Buildings of LVA are a heritage of Lichtenstein as well as the chateau complex in Breclav. Breclav is also referred to as the gateway to the Lednice-Valtice area. Lednice-Valtice area has been from its beginning a place for recreation and entertainment and that is the concept of what it should be nowadays. Partly the buildings of LVA are used for various cultural events - concerts (Lednice), educational programs (Pohansko) and exhibitions (Valtice). However there are mostly only tours of the interiors and only seasonally. To fulfil the potential of the area it would be appropriate to join all of the buildings in one program that will support the current events and complement with other functions. I propose to use the chateau complex in Breclav as a cultural and recreational centre with outreach to the LVA. Breclav would complete the triangle with other centres in Lednice and Valtice.

Leisure Center - Mojmire
Knichal, Filip ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is based on my architectural study, which was made in the third year of the academic year 2018/2019. The main task for this study was to design a leisure center for children, youth and adults in the cadastral district of Mojmírovo náměstí, in Brno – Královo Pole. The aim of this thesis is to elaborate the study to the level of documentation for building permition and documentation for construction. The plot is located in a gap site between a 5 storey new residential building with a flat roof and a 2 storey historic building with a saddle roof. In the surroundings there are mostly 5 storey apartment buildings together with the original historical development of family houses. A design of the leisure center tries to respect the height levels of the surrounding buildings and their spatial zoning. The ground plan does not exceed the depth of the surrounding buildings and the surrounding buildings are not shielded. The structure is 4 storeys, without basement, oriented to the east and west side, based on the space of the gap site. It contains two independent functional units: a leisure center and a hall with commercial space. The proposed building with a garden can be used for leisure activities, cultural and social events, and it will also expand the insufficient capacity of the classrooms and the premises of the Košinova elementary school in the morning. In the afternoon, the building, including the garden, will serve as a public meeting point. The idea was to create a multifunctional building for the needs of the local community. The leisure center in this place has its merit, because it is located right on Mojmírovo náměstí in the center of the action and the large garden is connected to the elementary school Košinova. The idea of the study was in the maximum glazing of the facade, which will reflect various greenery on the square, so it will also be open to the community, thanks to its transparency. The structure of the building is monol
Gallery aviation technology and traditions of aviation at the airport Medlánky in Brno
Bělehradová, Věra ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
Sport Airport complex Brno-Medlánky is nestled in the undulating hilly terrain in fields just beyond populated areas in Brno-Medlánky. The history of the airport dates back to 1924 when it was built the first wooden hangar for training purposes glider flights. Current state urban of airport is orderless. The aim is to streamline the complex and give it the order, allowing easy and efficient orientation in the space. The main intervention was the creation of a new central building - Aviation Museum. The concept of the design is based on the division of the whole area into two branches - communication axes, based on the mass preserved historic wooden hangars. Between the two communication arms is inserted a central axis on which is located the heart of the complex - Aviation Museum. It is a building organic form, inspiring axially symmetric wingspan (bird, airplane, beetle). It is this symmetry axis of the building creates a view towards building on the runway. Mass of the building used by the sloping terrain and is partially sunk under the ground. Building volume follows an upward slope from the outside and blends with the surrounding terrain. The internal layout consists of three floors, one of them is completely sunk below ground level and second half. The main entrance to the gallery is located in the uppermost floors, the direction of the exhibition is therefore directed downwards into the basement. The exposition is divided into six parts: RC models exposure, gliders exposure, powered aircraft exposure, screening room, children's exposure and air trainers. Other areas consist of building technical facilities. In the basement there is a workshop with aircraft lift, with the possibility of placement unexposed aircrafts. The supporting system of the building consists of two parts: reinforced concrete tubs and arched steel structure with a span of 50m.

Bartlová, Lucie ; Nový, Vítězslav (referee) ; Žalmanová, Petra (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to design a library in an area with a great potential. The plot of land is located in a centre of Místek and it has been used as a spacious car park. This design of library and surrounding areas should help to create an attractive point of interest which could also become a source of vision for the future. Apart from its basic functions, this library design also serves as a cultural centre and a leisure centre. This design makes visitors feel safe, like they are at home and could spend their whole day there. This design includes arranging surrounding free area which could serve as a park, square, a car park, and a market hall.
