The first chapter introduces the history and play system the top two competitions. The second chapter lists the most important corruption scandals since 1993 in the Czech football and hockey, and discuss also the issue of hooliganism. The third chapter presents the history of the channel ČT Sport, all programs dealing with hockey and football competitions, the most important journalistic tools and TV professions involved in these programs. The fourth chapter presents the first part of the analysis of the two selected TV programs. The fifth chapter presents the analysis of communication and semiotic aspects of the programs Bully and Studio. The sixth chapter contains the author's own survey, which focuses on the perception of programs Bully and Studio from the perspective of the grand public. The aim of this thesis is to determine which of the competitions is presented in a better way, both from a professional point of view and in terms of the perception of spectators.
Counterparty Credit Risk and Interest Rate Derivatives Pricing
Černý, Jakub
Counterparty Credit Risk and Interest Rate Derivatives Pricing Jakub Černý Abstract: This thesis deals with the pricing of OTC financial derivatives including the coun- terparty credit risk (CCR). It focuses on the interest rate derivatives for which the interest rate must be modeled as random. This is where they differ from the pricing of other derivatives. The credit valuation adjustment (CVA) concept is used to calculate CCR which is in line with current banking regulation Basel III. When we assume the independence of the underlying asset and the credit quality of the counterparty, we obtain an analytical expression of CVA. However, if the independence is violated, the CVA calculation becomes quite complicated. Specifically, the CVA of the inter- est rate swap (IRS) is calculated mainly using the simulation approach which is time and computationally consuming. Therefore, we bring two new methods for IRS CVA calculation where the CVA is expressed in a semi-analytical form. These methods use copula functions, particularly the Gaussian copula and the upper Fréchet bound, and we compare them numerically with a complex simulation study. Furthermore, we pro- pose a method of calibration of the correlation coefficient and we determine the impact of changes in the intensity of default on the final CVA with four...
Media analysis of Jan Kraus talk show with a focus on reaching
Černý, Jakub ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Moravec, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis presents an analysis of the communication in the TV program "Show of Jan Kraus". In the theoretical part we define and describe the term "talk show". A list of most popular programs of this type in Czech Republic is given for comparison. This part of the work contains also a chapter on medial dialog as a specific communication situation. We describe here a confrontation style, which is typical for the medial dialog in a talk show, a role of moderator and spectators, social status of the guests and also a question of politeness, which is the mains subject of the communication analysis in this work. The practical part is divided in two chapters. In the first one the show is analysed from the general point of view. We describe its structure, medial presentation, difference to other talk shows, and all its specific features. The second chapter deals with the question of communication, especially the performance of the moderator, Jan Kraus, and his way of discussion with the guests. The thesis investigates many points of a talk performance. The main point is the politeness, or rather impoliteness. The aim of the thesis is to find out, when this happens in the speech of the moderator, and which forms of the impoliteness are mostly used.
Interest Rate Models
Nikolaev, Alexander ; Němeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Černý, Jakub (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with short-term interest rate models. Many interest models have been developed in the last decades. They focus on accuracy of prediction. The pioneering one was developed by Vasicek in 1977 followed by the work of others. Nowadays these vary in their level of comprehensiveness and technical difficulty. The main aim of the thesis is to introduce not only a basic Vasicek's work but also more sophisticated models such as Brennan-Schwartz or Longstaff-Schwartz.
Stochastic interest rates modeling
Černý, Jakub ; Witzany, Jiří (advisor) ; Hurt, Jan (referee)
Title: Stochastic interest rates modeling Author: Jakub Černý Abstract: This present work studies different stochastic models of interest rates. Theoretical part of this work describes short-rate models, HJM fra- mework and LIBOR Market model. It focuses in detail on widely known short-rate models, i.e. Vašíček, Hull-White and Ho-Lee model, and on LI- BOR Market model. This part ends by valuation of interest rate options and model calibration to real data. Analytical part of the work analyses valuation of real non-standard interest rate derivative using different models. Part of this derivative valuation is comparison among models in terms of general valuation and also in terms of capturing the dynamics of interest rates. The aim of this work is to describe different stochastic models of interest rates and mainly to compare them with each other.

Mgr. Jakub Černý Konzultant: PhDr. Emil. Souleimanov Ph.D. Summary: Subject of the thesis is the definition of the Caspian Sea legal status in wider geopolitical perspective. The Caspian case is analyzed from the perspective of the international law in the...
Ramseyovské otázky v euklidovském prostoru
Cibulka, Josef ; Černý, Jakub (referee) ; Valtr, Pavel (advisor)
One of the problems in Euclidean Ramsey theory is to determine the chromatic number of the Euclidean space. The chromatic number of a space is the minimum number of colors with which the whole space can be colored so that no two points of the same color are at unit distance. We prove that the chromatic number of the six-dimensional real space is at least 11 and that the chromatic number of the seven-dimensional rational space is at least 15. In addition we give a new proof of the lower bound 9 for the chromatic number of the five-dimensional real space. We also simplify the proof of the lower bound 7 for the four-dimensional real space. It is known that the chromatic number of the n-dimensional real space grows exponentially in n. We show some of its subspaces, in which the growth is slower than exponential. We also summarize previous results for normed spaces in general and for some interesting non-Euclidean spaces.
Music Comparation
Sadloň, Vladimír ; Černý, Jakub (referee) ; Bálek, Martin (advisor)
The technique how to create a structure from a musical piece, which can be processed by the algorithms on strings, is presented in the work. In order to create such a structure the knowledge of music theory and harmony is needed. The work is also focused on selection of appropriate types of algorithms and their detailed description. The work explains the implementation of constituent elements and also contains the representative sample of created structure and output of the algorithms with detailed commentary.
Effective group elevator scheduling
Bartoš, Michal ; Bálek, Martin (referee) ; Černý, Jakub (advisor)
This work deals with effectiveness of planing algorithms controlling group of elevators. For comparing planing algorithms was created simulation software, which test its properties with regarding to setting of parameters of elevator system and building where is elevator system placed. Results of testing are compared by measured values and determinate pertinence of use of particular planing algorithm in dependency on setting of parameters. Capabilities of planing algorithm also depend on informations which can elevator system provide to it. For this reason this work also deals with elevator system itself and suggest its changes allowing planing algorithms work more effective.
