Understanding Selected Topics of the European Integration

The aim of the thesis is to diagnose the understanding of chosen topics regarding european integration of high school students in relation with incorporation of the topic among curriculum documents. Theoretical part of the thesis introduces the analysis of general educational programmes followed up with general summary of development of integration process into the form it has nowadays and also summary of institutions and their functions. Further we are introducing a contructive approach to teaching which is used as a base of practical part of our thesis. In the end of this part are stated the outcomes of the investigation of existing researches in this area. In the practical part of the thesis we implemented our own qualitative investigative sound using the method of half-structured in-depth conversation. The data gathered from this method were subsequently qualitatively analysed. In the end of the thesis we are introducing the outcomes of investigative sound and comparing them with outcomes of other researches where possible. The outcomes of the investigative sound were crucial for our teaching recommendations.
The Konopiště Estate in the modern era

Konopiště manor farm estate in a modern age thesis aims to analyse a legal dispute between Franz Ferdinand d'Este's children and Czechoslovakia. In 1900 Franz Ferdinand, successor to the Austrian throne, acknowledged his forthcoming marriage to countess Sophie Chotek would become unequal. As a part of the agreement, he consented that his wife and children would not inherit any property belonging to the House of Habsburg and they would also not be eligible successors to the throne. Consequently, a new house, called von Hohenberg, was established which Sophie, Franz Ferdinand's wife, and their descendants belonged to. Czechoslovakia was established after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In August 1921, Czechoslovakian lawmakers published a specific law whose provisions were derived from the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, signed on 10 September 1919. According to the Treaty, all property of the House of Habsburg was handed over to the newly established state without any compensation. While discussing the proposition in the Chamber of Deputies, deputy Theodor Bartošek came up with an addition, saying property of Franz Ferdinand's children was confiscated as well. Children's understanding of social mobility at primary and secondary school

The present thesis deals with primary and secondary school pupilsʾunderstanding of vertical social mobility. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and compare how pupils understand the individual social factors introduced in the theoretical part oft he thesis. The first part ofthe thesis defines the theoretical concepts underlying vertical social mobility and related areas, constructivism and childrenʾs interpretations of the world. It also presents an overview of current research. The practical part consists in a qualitative analysis. The data forthe analysis are collected through individual in-depth interview with primary and secondary school pupils. The results of the analysis are then compared with previous studies, and linked to the curriculum for civic education and social sciences. Attitudes to the Education of the Romany Students

The topic of this thesis, "Attitudes to the Education of the Romany students", is looking at instruction of Roma people as a tool for crime prevention related to this ethnic group. The purpose of this text is to assess the practical impacts of the implementation of the Czech government's "Strategy for Crime Prevention", based on personal experience and involvement in a project related to it. A specific project, in a selected area, is used as an example of how to implement projects of this kind. The following text is split into two parts. The first part is describing the history of Roma people in the Czech lands, and addresses the relationship between this ethnic group and crime. The second part is focused on the project related to the Strategy for Crime Prevention. The Strategy is first theoretically introduced and then described in practical terms in the given locality.
Social-economic status of Czech teacher

Theoretical part of dissertation was focused to defined concept teacher and his social and economic position. These concepts were focused from professional literature and law of Czech Republic. Practical part then is turn on in first line on the research of teacher's job. Some of them refer to prestige of teacher, another generally teachers position, his intensity and complexity, another was devoted education system universally. The second part explores from qualitative research of some respondents their attitudes and opinions to teachers position. The target of thesis was compare of idea trainees with conclusion, where was found out from researches of teachers job and professional literature. The thesis come to the conclusion in teacher's prestige and together was alert to some phenomenon, where are charted but not appropriately resolved. Traditional Romany culture and it's influence on school success of Romany children

The aim of this master thesis is to evaluate selected aspects of Romany culture, primary those which influence the school success of Romany children. Through qualitative survey, the information gained from reference books are compared with the information which were gained from Romany pupils attending special primary school in Prague. The thesis includes two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part is divided in two chapters. The first one deals with selected aspects of Romany culture which influence the education of Romany children. The aspects primary include the traditional Romany family and the upbringing of children, the specifics of Romany psyche and mentality and characteristic way of life. The second chapter is focused on education of Roma children and on the problems of these children in Czech schools. There are also mentioned some of the supportive measures which should help those children to overcome their problems and to integrate them in the mainstream society. The practical part of the thesis includes an analysis of the information resulting from interviews with ten Romany pupils who are attending special primary school.
Financial education at low secondary schools in the Czech Republic

This thesis presents the concept of developing financial literacy education for pupils of low secondary schools and corresponding years of multi-annual grammar schools enshrined in the existing curriculum documents. Thesis seeks answers to the question of whether the teaching of financial literacy within the specified range has the sufficient support in civics textbooks and textbooks specialized on financial literacy, while exploring the opportunities for educating teachers, who, in majority, have not met with this theme during their university studies. In-depth interviews with second grade pupils in the period before the start of systematic financial education, whose analysis fills the sekond part of the thesis, should diagnose the level of understanding and structure of their own ideas on selected economic terms. Comparison of findings about the structure of pupils understanding of content and methods of work available teaching materials should help identify potential bottlenecks or suggest appropriate procedures to financial education program for pupils better adapt.
