Simulation of Broken Conductor in Distribution Network by ATP-EMTP Program
Pacula, Václav ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
When broken conductor will impact on the ground. In isolated networks to ground fault occurs. For fault detection is the most commonly used method of zero-sequence voltage. The principle of the method is the sum of the voltage in all phases in the symmetric systém is the sum zero. The aim is to compare this method with the method of symmetrical sequence method and timeshiftomg. The method of symmetrical sequences compares sequency currents. To change the status of the systemis changed period, this method is based on the time shift. For comparison is used the ATP-EMTP program, that simulates the electrical transients. In this program are designed network model in which, these methods are investigated. It is a simple model of an idealized model and part of distribution network. After the simulation waveforms of events are processed and the results found faultdetection. Protection used today are based on measurements of zero-sequence voltage. A newer method of protection that extends further the possibility of detection and localization.
Module for the detection of light elements in ferrous alloys by the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy technique
Teorie absorpce ultrafialového záření vzduchem a optickými skly byla důkladně studována a shrnuta k získání potřebného teoretického základu k vývoji modulu.
Evaluation of Economic Effeciency and Risk of Investment Project
Novotný, Jiří ; Hromádka, Vít (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of economic efficiency and risks of an investment project. This is the construction of a multifunctional building in Brno. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the basics concepts, defines the phases of the project life cycle, describes cash flows, economic indicators and deals with project efficiency management. The practical part is devoted to the investment project, especially the creation of cash flows and the resulting evaluation of the economic efficiency of the project. At the end of the work, a sensitivity analysis is demonstrated.
Mathematical Methods of Image Segmentation for Remote Sensing Applications
Novotný, Jan ; Klimánek, Martin (referee) ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Martišek, Dalibor (advisor)
Segmentation of an image into individual tree crowns is a key step in the processing of remotely sensed data for forestry practice. The doctoral thesis gives a broad overview of this topic. It comprehends theoretical context from mathematical point of view and defines basic terms from airborne imaging and laser scanning. Mathematical methods of tree detection are focused on a robust adaptation to the actual conditions in a region of interest. A novel approach of crown area delineation is introduced, it combines a seeded region growing technique with an active contour as a crown boundary representation. The parametrisation of all algorithms is analysed in a practical half of the thesis and more application-oriented issues are mentioned. Executable computer programs are attached.
Dimensioning of Supporting Constructions for MV Overhead Lines
Křepela, Pavel ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The reason of supporting constructions is to transfer all power activity and fulfill all requirements on safe operation of electrical grid. This bachelor’s thesis deals with designing of supporting constructions of the overhead line MV. The main task is to acquire knowledges about single parts of supporting constructions and to describe steps of power effects calculation according to current legislation. The outcome is a simple software application for supporting constructions design from power effect viewpoint.
Draft block for dough processing
Novotný, Jan ; Vlašic, František (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis deals with a structural design of a draft block of the placement of dough processing rollers, which are used for stiffening wheat dough in bakery lines intended for the production of common bakery products. The introduction gives a description of a bread and common bakery making production line. Next the thesis briefly deals with other possible dough-stiffening methods and with sanitary, structural and material requirements for food processing machinery. The structural part is devoted to a roller propulsion draft and a solution of a shift of one of the rollers. It contains a calculation of a worm gear, a load shaft calculation and a complete design documentary materials.
Design support for BricsCAD/AutoCAD
Hasal, Ondřej ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with programing of a user interface in AutoCAD or BricsCAD which shall be used for drawing strong and weak current wiring in housing. I have used AutoCAD as the primary software and I have programed entire working menu in it. In BricsCAD I have programed sample menu to show how could we work with it and expand it. In the work I deal with change of design and properties of AutoCAD or BricsCAD. Part of the work deals with design and making of electrical symbols. I have dealt with how to use generated data without generating duplicates, when designing work environment in AutoCAD and BricsCAD. I also dealt with displaying and inserting of the created symbols into the drawings.
Testing of transformer protection
Kulač, Ivan ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The main theme of my Bachelor thesis was protection of the transformer, measured case was orient to differential protection of the transformer, functions, stabilization and release characteristic. The proposed method of testing module SPCD3D53 differential protection SPAD 346C which was made by ABB. Setting of release characteristics on the protection were made for real power transformers. Testing device OMICRON CMC 256 plus was used to measurement, which was same as protection connected to personal computer. All the PC’s settings operations were realized by recommended software. The measurements were made for three cases, when differential current was in one, two or three phases. Results of measurement are mentioned in tables and graph.
