Representative of a Travel Agency

This bachelor thesis is focused on the specifications of a representative of a travel agency. Public awareness of individual functions and obligations connected to this profession is analysed in this document. The aim of this thesis is to profile ideal candidate for this work position. This was supported by the author´s practical experience and a survey which showed preferences of clients travelling with Czech travel agency. Czech travel agencies mainly carried out through questionnaire survey. This research shows that more than a half of Czech clients would not prioritize concrete sex or age even though a quarter of respondents would prefer on this position a young female representative. Created profile of an ideal candidate listed at the end of this document could be helpful to travel agencies during opened job offerings, this document should also contribute to better understanding of this work position especially according to proposed changes in official sources as well as in the academic articles. The main detection is an ignorance to technical terms in tourism by Czech clients. This bachelor thesis should clearly define work and its important terms, rights and obligations of a representative.
Economy of contemporary Czech hunting within European Union

The master thesis deals with evaluation of the economic status of hunting in the Czech Republic within European Union. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first part is focused on economic-theoretical approaches in relation to hunting, defines basic terms and outlines the most important legislative regulations. The component is also the issue of the valuation of wildlife in the Czech Republic in comparison with neighbour states. The second chapter is about legislative regulations, programmes and policies of the European Union in relation to hunting. In this part there are listed the most important organizations and their influence on game management in the Czech Republic. The final chapter is devoted to evaluation of game management in the Czech Republic according to profits and costs. This section evaluates the status of the most important species of wildlife in the Czech Republic with the reference to main problems and their possible solutions. The component of this part is the case study focusing on the management of the Hunting Association Chotěbudice.
Promotion of tourist attractions on social networks

The bacheleor's thesis deals with promotion of tourist attractions on social networks. The introduction describes some of the definitions concerning tourism and tourist attractions. More detailed attention is given to tourism marketing and its tools. The main part is dedicated to using social networks in promotion of czech monuments entered in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The study is focused mainly on comparing these monuments from point of view of using social networks which are evaluated at the end of the thesis pointing out minor recommendations.
Mountain Tourism in the Krkonoše Mountains

The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse actual conditions for mountain tourism in the Krkonoše Mountains as well as to determine preconditions for its future form and development and to give comprehensive information about situation of particular elements of tourism. Finally there is a projection of a future conception of the mountain tourism in the Krkonoše Mountains. There is a description and analysis used to appraise current situation and opportunities for development regarding the mountain tourism.
Youth Travel with focus on role of student organisations

The topic of the diploma thesis is tourism of young people and it researches the influence of three chosen student's organisation on VŠE. First two chapters of the thesis are dedicated to the general description of tourism of young people which is also referred to as Youth Travel. This new segment of tourism shows specific characteristics as for motivation factors, budget, length of stay and usage of modern technologies which are described here. Next chapter deals with the benefits of this segment to the tourism industry. Various forms of Youth Travel and its demand is described in the second chapter more detailed. Third chapter speaks about three student's organisations -- AIESEC Praha, AEGEE Praha and ESN VŠE Buddy System -- which are also focused on outgoing tourism of their members. A research was carried out for the practical part of the thesis. The research examined knowledge of the students about the offer of their organisations, their personal benefits of membership in such a club and their travel habits. Later a second research was carried out among all the students of VŠE (meaning non-members also), which showed a potential for a new student's organisation, which would function as a tour-operator and would organize trips and tours for its members. In connection with this research there is a proposal for such a new organisation called VŠEtravel, z.s.
Ireland: economy and position in the international tourism

The master thesis focuses on Irish economy and its position in the international tourism. The aim of the thesis is to analyse economic situation in the country and evaluate position of Ireland in the international tourism. First part of the thesis contains the basic terms and definitions in the area of tourism. Second part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the country based on macroeconomic indicators and it also deals with the competitiveness in the global economy. The third part is focused on Irish tourism, its tourist regions, attractivities and evaluation of the competitiveness and position in the international tourism. Tourism organizations operating in Ireland and also the way of thein promotion in the international markets are mentioned in the third part of the thesis.
The position of Slovenia in the international tourism market

The diploma thesis is focused on tourism of Slovenia, especially on its position in the international tourism market. Following general informations about Slovenia and its basic macroeconomic characteristic the thesis focuses on Slovenian tourism, its policies, its position in national economy and position in the the international tourism market (particularly in Europe). The evaluation of competitiveness of the country is also part of the thesis. Perspectives of tourism development in Slovenia are presented in the final part.
Mauritius: economy and position in the world tourism market

The diploma thesis discusses the island state of Mauritius, especially from the point of view of the macroeconomic situation and in terms of analysis and description of international tourism. The first chapter considers the theoretical foundations of international tourism, the world economy and the problems of developing countries, particularly small island developing states. The second chapter describes the island of Mauritius and its historical, geographical, social and political characteristics. The third chapter deals with macroeconomic characteristics of the island. In this section the main points rank the structure of the economy, indicators of economic performance, as well as the conditions for investment and also evaluation of the competitiveness of the economy. The fourth part reflects Mauritius as an important destination of international tourism. The island's economy is very dependent on international tourism. This chapter describes its characteristics, structure, focusing on inbound tourism and future trends of tourism. Diploma thesis concludes with a chapter on the comparison of the competitiveness of tourism in Mauritius and Seychelles.
Adveritising of Poland as a destination of tourism in comparison with chosen European countries

The aim of the thesis was to describe how Poland is promoted as a destination of tourism in the Czech Republic and to comprave the way to the other neighbouring countries. The first chapter is focused on the economical profile of Poland, the second chapter contains characteristics of Poland as a destination of tourism and the chapter is finishe by the SWOT analysis of Polish tourism. The third chapter deals with the ways of promotion of Poland and other neighbouring countries in the Czech Republic and follows the activities in three fields -- activities of national agencies for tourism, cultural institutes and performing of public diplomacy in the Czech Republic.
The status of women within business and entrepreneurship in the Arab world - in comparison with EU

The bachelor thesis deals with analysis of women's status in business and entrepreneurship in the Arab world in comparison with the status of women in European Union. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first part is focused on women in the Arab world, characterizes Islam which the status of women is based on as well as the status of women on labour market, than it provides data about employment in particular sectors in chosen states, gives reasons for impossibility of employment of women in specific position and shows the proportion of participation of women in political life. This part is finished by examples of business negotiation in some countries. There are also instances of important Arab women. The second part analyses the status of women in European Union according to particular points from the first part. The final part is engaged in comparison both different words. The component is also confirmation or disproval of hypothesis if women in Arab world have to face oppression, discrimination, bad conditions and are as discontent as they are interpret in our society.
